Hawks' POV
I blinked the blurriness out of my eyes. I felt a cool sensation holding me.
Oh! That's right. Winter let me sleep with her. She's so kind. And pretty.
I looked at her restful features. She seemed to at peace. Her neon royal blue streak seemed to glow as the sun's golden rays shone through the blinds.
I wonder if that streak is natural or if she adds it. Either way, it really brings out the color in her eyes. It's gorgeous.
I smiled at my girlfriend. She was perfect. Hopefully I was good enough for her. My mind drifted back to the kiss we had last night.
Everything about it was incredible. The way it happened, the way she took charge of everything, the way I felt. Maybe she'll want to kiss me again. But I don't want to rush things! I can't force her to do anything she doesn't want to, and I don't want her to lie about it and say it's fine either. That's just wrong. I can't make her feel the way she felt when she was in captivity. I would never forgive myself.
"Well good morning, Keigo." Winter's voice snapped my out of my thoughts. She had woken up now, and was looking at me. Her beautiful eyes sparkled with an emotion I couldn't read.
"Good morning, Winter! Did I wake you?" I asked. She shook her head.
"No, don't worry. I don't sleep in very late, so this is the latest I usually get up." She said. Winter set her hand on the back of my head, gently bringing me down a little so she could kiss me. I melted into it, closing my eyes and kissing her back. It wasn't a passionate kiss, more so a loving, affectionate one. Still, it was enough to make my heart skip a few beats. Winter ran her fingers through my hair, the cool temperature coming from her body sending a shiver down my spine. A minute later we broke apart.
"We ought to get up now. Don't want to sleep this beautiful day away." She said. I nodded, rolling off of her so she could get up. We quickly got dressed, giving each other privacy of course, went about our morning routines and headed to the kitchen. Immediately Winter glared at Midnight, who had a mischievous look on her face. I frowned, figuring it was just something those two were arguing over as usual. I sat down after getting myself a cup of tea. Ever since Winter had given it to me that first time right before my wing surgery, I had been addicted. Not to just the caffeine kind, all tea. Especially the kind she made.
I noticed that Winter and Mic had started speaking in English.
"What're they saying that's so important we can't hear it?" Dabi crossed his arms.
"They usually have a conversation in English during our lunch break at UA. Sometimes if they're arguing it takes longer. But it's a daily thing." Aizawa shrugged, sipping his coffee. Suddenly Winter rose her voice, pupils narrowing. She lunged at Mic who just barely dodged her claws in time. I subconsciously brought my hand to my face, feeling the pain from when she scratched me for a split second. Winter's ear swiveled towards me. She turned her head so she could look at me. I realized what I was doing and lowered my hand.
"Does it still hurt?" She quietly asked, sitting next to me.
"No, I just felt the pain for a second there." I shook my head.
She inspected my face, raising her hand. I could feel her tracing what must be the scars from her claws. At that moment I noticed the wound on her face from the acid had healed, leaving a nasty scar. It went from right above her left eyebrow down to her jawbone. I felt badly. If I had stayed and helped, she wouldn't have gotten so hurt.
If I hadn't been so cruel to Dabi neither of them would have gone out there in the first place!
"I'm sorry I didn't help you fight that thing." I apologized.
"Huh? Oh! Don't worry. I like scars. It gives me stories to tell." She grinned.
"Doesn't it bother you though? If you get one from something that was really bad? Like a crime someone committed against you?" I asked.
Winter paused for a moment, thinking. "Well, personally, no. I don't get embarrassed by them. It reminds me that I went though hell and survived it. That I'm stronger than I was then." She responded.
She's so brave. Winter flat-out told us about the ones on her hips and had no fear about it. I wish I had that mindset. I know that it shouldn't be as big of a deal as it is to me, but I hate the ones that photographer gave to me. It makes me ashamed of myself, because it just puts me back in that time where I hated my body because of what she did. I would pay to erase these scars.
"You alright?" Winter asked.
"I'll be fine. Don't worry." I smiled. She didn't seem like she believed me, but nodded, knowing I wasn't quite ready to talk about it. I loved that she never pressed to try and force me to talk about things. That was part of what gave me so much trust in her.
"I wonder if I could freeze the entire ocean." Winter suddenly said.
"You should try it." Dabi said.
"I should!" She grinned.
"Not! Storms you'll kill so many ecosystems, you idiot!" Aizawa snapped. Winter rolled her eyes.
"Fine." She said. I laughed.
"Winter you're going to get yourself in more trouble than you'll be able to get out of one of these days!" I said.
"Well if I do, I'll just cause more trouble and sneak out." She smirked.
"I don't think that's the right way to go about that, Storms." All Might said. She shrugged. Suddenly, there was a furious pounding at the door. Winter got to her feet, heading to the door. She opened it, revealing a quarter of the 1-A class.
"What's up?" She asked. Bakugo was in the lead, seemingly out of breath.
"Water- swim.... far- not good... predators-"
"Bakugo, breathe! I don't get what you're saying!" Winter said. He heavily inhaled, wheezing.
"Storms! You've got to come help us!" Midoriya begged.
"What happened?" Her tone became serious.
"We were swimming like usual but went way far out, and we saw something, it looked like a dolphin but it wasn't it was a shark and it grabbed Shinso, he's drowning and loosing a lot of blood because it's trying to drag him down!" The green-haired kid explained. Winter immediately changed into her snow leopard form, racing out the front door. Everyone else inside, myself included, quickly ran after her. I used my wings to follow her as she swam into the ocean, following a blood trail. I hung just above the water, trying to keep up with her speed. Suddenly her form disappeared, meaning she swam deeper than I could see.
