Storms' POV
"Bakugo! Kirishima! Where are you two going?" I called. The two boys looked at each other and back at me, walking over like dogs that were just scolded.
"I wanted to show Shitty Hair this pretty area just over the hill over there." Bakugo growled, pointing towards the hill.
"Why'd you try to sneak out?" I asked.
"Because we wanted to be alone for a bit." He admitted. I smiled.
"Ah. I see. Well, how about you go over there now. Just let me know how you're doing every thirty minutes okay? I don't want you two to be out of my sight for too long. You know that there's dangerous animals on this island and in the water, and I need to be close enough that I can come help if you get stung or bit." I said. They looked at me excitedly.
"Really? You'd let us?" Kirishima asked. I nodded.
"I can tell you two have been itching for a chance to be together away from the rest of your class this whole trip. I don't mind as long as I know you're safe." I said.
"Thank you Storms! You're the best!" Kirishima grinned.
"Yeah the other teachers would never let us go like this." Bakugo agreed.
"Just don't get into too much trouble!" I said, shooing the two. They ran over towards the hill, sliding down the other side. I walked towards my colleagues, sitting down on the beach chair they set up for me.
"Ugh. Don't even, Hizashi. I'm on vacation. Work stays in the workplace." Aizawa grumbled.
"I was just asking!" The loud pro whined.
"Asking what?" I questioned.
"If Aizawa was excited to get back to UA." Kayama answered.
"Oh. Yeah, Yamada, maybe try to keep work out of vacation. Some people get cranky and it ruins their mood." I winked.
"Fine, fine." He laughed, giving up.
"Hey where are Dabi and Takami?" I frowned.
"Oh they're over there." Kayama pointed. The two guys were jumping off of a mountain on the side of the cove, cannonballing into the water.
"Glad to see they're getting along better." I laughed.
"Yeah, I don't know what you did, but you're a miracle worker, Storms." Toshinori said.
"Nah, I'm not that special." I grinned.
"To those two you are." Aizawa shrugged.
"Have you chosen yet?!" Kayama's excitement suddenly skyrocketed.
"Chosen? No! Why would I choose?" I blinked.
"They both love you, now you have to choose! Are you gonna go with the number two hero, or the villain-turned good guy rebel?" She asked, happiness sparkling in her eyes.
"Um, neither? I don't think I like either of them the same way they like me, exactly." I raised an eyebrow curiously.
"Oh come on! I've seen you being so friendly with them. Making sure they're comfortable, taking care of their injuries." She listed the things I had done.
"Isn't that just common courtesy?" I frowned.
"Storms I didn't think it was possible but you're even worse at emotions than I am." Aizawa chuffed.
"Well, Mr. Cranky, I grew up in a very different situation from you." I retorted.
"Yeah, I know." He sighed.
"Well, if you had to choose, who would you go with?" Kayama asked curiously.
I paused, thinking.
"I don't know. They're both sweet in their own ways. Deep down I can tell that Dabi only because a villain because someone he cared about was suffering. He may have been evil, but he's got a good heart. Takami's the one suffering in his case, and while he can support himself and take care of himself without dumping everything onto a friend and ruining it with them, he still needs someone.
I don't think it's as easy as choosing one over the other. Besides, how do I even know if I actually like them?" I frowned.
"Hm... how about you and I go have a little girls chat?" Kayama offered. I shrugged. The two of us walked over to the front of our house, sitting in the chairs on the porch. It was a direct view of the ocean from here, so we could still see everyone.
"Alright, so if you're sad, who's the first person you want to go to?" My friend asked.
"Myself, god or satan." I said. She looked at me.
"Um... let's try again. If you've got good news, who's the first person you want to share it with?"
"Aizawa so I can rub it in his face that I'm better than him."
"Winter you're not making this very easy."
"Am I answering wrong?"
"Yes. New question. Do you often want to be with either of them?" Kayama tried again.
"Sure. They're friends." I shrugged.
"That's better... alright, do you want to tell them you love them?" My friend asked.
"No because I don't know if I do."
Kayama sighed. "Back at square one. Okay, next question. Do you miss either of them when they're gone?"
I paused. "Sometimes. Depends on whether or not I know they're safe."
"Finally we're getting somewhere! How often do you think of them?"
"All the time. I think of you guys all the time." I replied.
"Ugh. Alright, let's try this. How would your life look without them?"
"What do you mean?" I tilted my head.
"Like, have you gotten happier since you've known them?" My friend explained.
"I think so, yes." I nodded.
"Good! These two questions kind of go together. Have you gotten to get to know them, and do you have a connection, whether it be mental, physical or emotional?"
"Yes, I have gotten to know one of them, and... yeah, I have a connection." I eventually figured out.
"Yay! Now, which of them makes you want to be a better person?"
"Both of them, I guess."
"Eh, could be worse. Okay, how well do you really know them?" She asked.
"I know one quite well."
"Then, in honesty, I think you ought to go with the one you trust more. I know trust is a key factor in having a relationship with you, whether it be friend or more. So, go with your heart." My friend smiled. I smiled back.
"Thank you. I think I know who I should go with then."
