Storms' POV
I changed into my snow leopard form the second I was outside the house, tracking Dabi's scent.
"This way!" I raced towards the jungle part of the island. Ahead loomed a mountain. Not a big one, but a mountain nonetheless. I noticed something moving about at the top. I spread my wings, beating them to launch myself off the ground. I flew higher and higher until I reached the top. What I saw caused me to freeze.
Dabi was pinned down by that creature that the dolphin described. It gurgled and spat out black gunk, shivering the whole time.
"Oh my god! What is that thing?" Takami gasped, pausing to hover where I was.
"I-I don't know..." I quietly stuttered. It was horrifying.
"We have to do something or it'll kill him!" My friend reminded me. Snapping out of my trance, I shook my head to clear my thoughts.
"Alright. I want you to go around to the other side of the mountain. Do your best to stay out of sight. I'll distract that thing. You go down and grab Dabi, and go right back to the house." I said.
"What about you? Aren't you going to come back too?" He worried.
"I can't. Not until I kill that thing. If I try to run home I'll just lead it straight to the students." I shook my head.
"Alright. Be careful." Takami nodded, quietly flying over to the other side of the mountain. I opened my jaws, shooting a blast of ice at the ground next to the creature. It whipped its hideous face towards me, foggy white eyed seeming to lock onto my form.
The creature screeched, angry. I snarled, diving towards it. Right before it could grab me, I swerved, landing behind it. The creature turned all the way towards me, allowing Takami to grab Dabi and get out. I roared. The creature responded the same way. It charged at me with incredible speed. I covered my neck with my wing, creating a shield of ice on my feathers just in time. The creature smashed into it, stumbling back. Unfortunately, it found a way past my defense. It used its long arm to grab my leg, digging its dirty claws into my flesh. I snarled, moving my wing. I twisted around, dragging its body. When it was unbalanced, I lunged for its neck. Unfortunately, the creature rolled out of the way in time. I tumbled over it, just barely getting to my paws in time to avoid a killing blow. However the creature did still land a hit, swiping along my flank. I felt the flesh in the spot it hit me tear, hot blood seeping out and dripping down my fur. I bared my teeth at the beast, shooting ice at its feet. It knocked the creature over, allowing me to jump on top of it. I pinned it down for the most part, holding my composure as it kicked and clawed my stomach. Knowing that if I didn't do anything quickly, I decided I had one of two choices. Try to see if it spoke a language I recognized, or kill it. The creature spit the black goo at my face. I screeched in pain, figuring out that the goo was actually a thick tar-like acid. I shook my head, lifting a paw to try and wipe the acid out of my eye. The creature tried to escape. Still having one good eye, I noticed, and ducked down, locking my jaws around its neck. The thing screeched and gurgled as I bit down harder, until I was able to rip its throat out. The body jerked a couple of times, falling still. I spit it's throat out, backing away. Panting, I took a moment to rest.
Dabi!
The injured male appeared in my mind. Shakily, I rose to my paws, taking off.

"Storms!"
"Your face!"
"Quick, go get something to clean this stuff off of her!" My colleagues rushed around at my arrival. I collapsed, still in my snow leopard form, to the floor in the living room, exhausted from the acid. I could handle blood loss, but whatever was in this acid was draining my energy.
