Storms' POV

"Oh come on! You said we could go to a bar later!" Dabi groaned. I laughed.

"Yeah, well, we can have a makeshift party here if you'd like."

"Don't get any ideas, though." Keigo playfully teased Dabi.

"Don't get possessive over me, Songbird." I said. His eyes lit up at the nickname. He loved it.

"Hawks mate for life, y'know." My boyfriend winked.

"Gross. I don't need to hear that." Aizawa muttered. Dabi made a gagging sound.

"Oh shut up you two!" I snickered. It didn't bother me. We all knew each other well enough that teasing was really us just cracking bad jokes and poking fun at one another.

"Hey I- what the hell is that?" Yamada cut himself off, staring out into the city. I turned to see something I never wanted to.

"Holy shit-" Keigo gasped, staring. Dabi had turned to stone.

Slowly making its way across the city, destroying buildings in its wake was what looked like the same thing that attacked us on the island. The same mutation. But a thousand times bigger. It drooled, sluggishly coming towards UA. All of the students rushed out of their dorms, stopping in front of the main building, whispering anxiously. My pupils narrowed to slits.

"All of you... stay close together. Back up. And whatever you do, DON'T get in my way." I growled.

"Winter what are you going to do?! You can't fight that thing on your own! It's way too big!" Keigo yelped.

"I wish I had had more time to test it out," I sighed.

"Now seriously, get your ass back." I snapped. He stepped back, along with the other pro teachers helping herd the students onto the top of UA's stairs.

I slowly exhaled, closing my eyes, allowing my body to transform.

Hawks' POV

Winter engulfed herself in the icy blue mist she always had when she used her Shapeshifter Quirk. When it stopped, a massive western dragon that seemed to be made entirely of ice stood in her place. It was bigger than a skyscraper.

Winter lowered her left front leg to the ground, shaking the earth as she did. The mutation whipped towards her, screeching. She snarled, flaring her wings.

Within a split second, the two clashed. Winter had leapt off of the mountain UA was on, forearms locking with the monster's. Everything in my body was screaming at me to go fight alongside Winter, but even louder was the instinct telling me to protect the students. Ice and acid were flying everywhere, raining down on us.

Suddenly, a black blob appeared in the edge of my vision. I dashed forwards, spreading my wings, managing to take the hit from the acid just before it killed Shinso. The student looked at me in shock. I winced, ignoring the pain shooting through my wings and along my spine.

"It's fine, kid. They'll grow back." I said, standing up again. My feathers sizzled as they were destroyed.

"I shouldn't have-"

"I have faster reflexes. You didn't do anything. Actually... Todoroki, can you create an umbrella over us?" I asked. The kid nodded, carefully creating a half-closed dome over everyone. He stumbled a bit, covered in frost.

"Take your time." Dabi said, using his own Quirk to melt the ice off of his sibling. I smiled for a moment before turning my attention back to Winter. The monster dropped, digging its claws into her underbelly. She roared in pain, ducking her neck down. She barely reached the creature's back, jaws snapping shut on its flesh, tearing off a chunk. The monster screeched, letting go. Blood began to spill from the wounds in her body. She tried to use her ice to cover them up but with the speed the monster was attacking she didn't have time. I could tell she was trying to keep it as far away from us as possible.
