Storms' POV

"Good news, everyone. I've figured out what that monster once was." I walked into the teachers lounge.

"You did?"

"What is it?"

"Please tell us it's not a human."

"Y'all calm down!" I said. "We're actually kind of lucky. That thing is not human. At least, not entirely. It's a cross between human, snake, eagle and shark. It has a fourth of each species DNA. I say that's lucky because it obviously means it's genetically created, and it definitely has a signature." I explained.

"So... why doesn't that black blob kill the monster?" My boyfriend questioned.

"I'm thinking because whoever made the blob modeled it to fit those four species as best as they could. But it's supposed to support all four DNAs, not just one. That's why it almost killed you. It's too strong for one pureblooded species to support. Now, if it was inside of something like a liger, it would work better, because ligers don't have just one DNA, they're hybrids of lions and tigers, which makes them better hosts for the blob." I said.

"Did you find a signature?" Aizawa asked.

"I did. It doesn't have the same signature as a Nomu does. Well, not entirely. The creator seemed to try to make this thing similar to Nomu yet still different. I'm thinking they tried to make these to fight Nomu, but it went really wrong. Sometime during its growth in a lab it backfired and began to attack pureblooded animals, especially humans. I think that the black blob was meant to enhance the monster but is what really caused it to malfunction." I nodded.

"So... do you know who made it? Obviously it has to be someone who doesn't like Nomu, so it can't be a villain..." Dabi trailed off. Everyone paused to look at him, realizing what he said. Even Dabi froze, staring at me when his words hit him.

"Unfortunately you're correct. It's not a villain who made this. In fact... based on the scent of the blob and the monster, and power the monster was meant to have, I... I hate to say it, but... the person who created this... was... Endeavor."

"WHAT?!" I winced at everyone's shout.

"Look, I think he hired someone to help him make this thing so Nomus like High-End didn't have the chance to hurt civilians in case a hero wasn't strong enough to stop it, but when it went wrong he just kinda... I don't know, that's as far as I got!" I snapped, feeling anxious. I didn't want to accuse the number one hero, but after picking up the scent of non-natural fire, I knew what it was.

"Winter, please tell me you're not serious... y-you messed up, right?" Keigo looked at me, grief in his eyes. I felt horrible. Endeavor had saved him years ago, before he had been trained as a spy. Now he person he idolized had almost killed him.

"I'm sorry." I whispered, almost inaudibly. My ears pressed themselves against the top of my head.

Dabi looked like he was going into shock. Some sort of feeling was nagging me at the back of my mind.

What about him acting like this is bothering me? What am I noticing that I can't quite figure out?

"Winter?" Keigo's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. He had stood up and was in front of me now. I unsheathed my claws, freezing a mere inch away from his face. I stared at him in horror.

"I-I-I'm so sorry..." I stuttered, shaking. The scars from the last time I did this were prominent, reminding me of what pain I caused him. For a moment the scene flashed in front of my eyes, the blood splattering out of the wounds again. I backed away, afraid I'd hurt him.
