Storms' POV

"N-No..." I shot upwards, having been woken up by noises.

It was dark in the room. I heard thunder rumbling outside, mixed with a heavy rainfall.

"P-Please..." A familiar voice whispered. I turned myself a little, making out the outline of Takami.

He's sleep-talking... is he oka- DID I FALL ASLEEP HERE?!

I stared, slightly shocked at myself.

"Go... please... g-go.... away!" His voice started to mix with fear.

"Hey..." I spoke.

"Please, no! I'm sorry!" He wailed.

"Takami! Wake up!" I sat all the way up, shaking his arm.

My colleague woke and shot upwards, gasping for air. I could hear his heart pounding.

"Hey! Calm down! You're okay! It's alright!" I tried to calm him down. He looked at me, like he was trying to take in what I said. Without warning, he pressed himself against me, burying his face against my shoulder, crying.

"Shhhhh. Shhh. It's okay." I whispered, wrapping my arms around him, careful to avoid his wings.

Oh. Yep. Forgot about that.

I remembered that his outfit had been covered in blood and I hadn't had time to get him a new one.

"T-They're h-here..." He choked out.

"No one's here." I reassured.

"Y-Yes-" The pro argued.

"No, no one's here. I promise. Trust me." I said, pulling him closer. He was shaking.

He's got a fever...

I noticed.

"Takami, you have a fever. We need to get you taken care of or it'll get worse." I said, trying to get up. He squeaked, gripping onto me tighter.

"Hey, you have to let me go so I can get you a towel to cool you off!" I chuckled.

He didn't move. "Please?" I asked. Still nothing.

"Fine. Have it your way." I sighed, picking him up with me. Luckily he was hanging onto me so tightly I just had to set my arm under his legs. The way Takami was positioned was like a tired toddler, really, with his legs wrapped around my sides too.

I was quiet as I got the cold, damp towel, not speaking. Especially since I was pretty sure Takami was already asleep. I also got an extra towel to put on the pillow.

Spreading the dry towel out over his pillow, I carefully pried him off of me so I could lay him down. I folded the damp hand towel and set it under his forehead, adjusting the pillow so he didn't suffocate, since he was laying on his stomach.

I sat down on the bed on the other side. He whimpered again. I reached out and set my hand on his. Takami fell quiet. I let out a quiet sigh of relief.

Oh, Takami, what am I gonna do with you? You deserve better than this...

The sky was clear in the morning. The sun's golden rays were peeking though the blinds. I stretched a little, cautious of my sleeping friend. He had been up most of the night squirming uncomfortably. I looked over at him, sighing. He started squirming again, waking up almost immediately after.

"Good morning, sleepy." I smiled. He smiled back.

"Did I keep you here? I-I'm sorry." He chuckled.

"You're fine. You weren't well. How's your leg?" I asked.

"It hurts a bit. Not much at all though! I've been hit with worse!" He shakily sat up, putting on his signature shit-eating grin.

I was quiet for a minute, staring at him.

Why is he lying?

I figured it would be best not to press for more information.

"I'm sure you have, number two hero." I grinned back.

"Hey, do you wanna ho do something today? Like... uh..." Takami paused, making a face as he started to think.

What a cute face- ew what am I thinking?

"We're gonna be at the beach for a while, so maybe we can go fishing? I-If you want!" He finally suggested.

"That sounds great! I'd love to."
