Hawks' POV

I had recovered for the most part, all within two weeks. It still hurt a little to talk but Winter always brought me that special tea and it helped every time.

"So from what I've figured out is this thing is what basically powers that monster that attacked the League and then followed us to the island. And by powers I mean it attacks that monster which causes it to be in severe pain, leading it to survive. Quite honestly I'm not entirely sure how that works but it does." Winter explained. Aizawa, Midnight, Mic, All Might, Dabi and myself were in the teachers lounge listening to what she had to say.

"Now what we have to do is figure out what that monster was genetically. I can further tell what that black blob was doing when I know that. After we know that information, we can track down who's been doing this. It'll be the easiest part." She said.

"How do you know it'll be the easiest part?" Aizawa asked.

"Because. Much like bombs, the maker will have put their signature on their creation. Y'all know I can track people by scent, but I can also track by knowledge, since the scientists accidentally mutated my intellect. By following bread crumbs I can track down just about anyone." She said.

"And what're you going to do once you find out who made that creature?" All Might questioned.

"Get them to tell me why they did it, what their goals were, and kill them." Winter calmly replied.

"Storms you can't solve all your problems by killing them." Midnight sighed.

"Sure I can. I just do it." She shrugged. Dabi shook his head in disappointment.

"Why don't you focus on figuring out what that black blob is? And why it doesn't kill those monsters but it almost killed me?" I suggested.

"I can make a guess and say that it didn't kill those monsters because their bodies were developed to support the blob. Much like those microscopic robots were meant to be in my body but not in that scientists. And you're right, I should go figure that out. So I can kill the bastard sooner." Winter clenched her hands into fists.

"That's not what I meant!" I jumped to my feet, wings subconsciously opening. Unfortunately I was nowhere near fully recovered, so the sudden movement made me nauseous and unbalanced. Luckily Winter noticed, darting over and catching me as I fell. I felt my body convulse as it got ready to vomit. Winter carefully set me down on the couch, setting her hand on my stomach. She activated her Quirk, emitting a cooling sensation. Thankfully I didn't embarrass myself in front of everyone and get sick all over the place.

"S-Sorry..." I quietly muttered.

"It's quite alright, love. I know you're still suffering." She softly replied.

"I didn't mean to make a scene." I said.

"Keigo, you're hurt! You're not making a scene! Don't think like that!" She exclaimed, cupping my face in her hands. I looked away, still feeling guilty.

"That's all I've done since I got here." I said. Winter fell quiet for a bit.

"Things have always been chaotic, especially at UA. But the world has always been chaotic for heroes. Ever since Quirks developed there's been chaos. I know that a lot of bad things have happened since you came here, and yes, some of it is your fault, but the majority of it is just bad luck. And since there's heroes, like I mentioned, there's villains. And the villains are what create the chaos for heroes. As long as there are good and bad people in this world, there will always be a scene to make.

So please, Kei, stop blaming yourself. We've moved on from the bad things and we've grown. It's in the past. The students have forgiven you. Your colleagues have forgiven you. I've forgiven you. Now you just need to forgive yourself. Then you won't be held back by the chains you've created." She smiled. I started to cry. Winter sat next to me, allowing me to hide in her shoulder as I cried.

"I don't deserve you!" I choked.

"Yes you do. You do, and you always will. And even if you didn't I'm not leaving you. Because you're mine." She spoke softly at the end so no one else would hear the dominant growl in her voice. I blushed, hiding my face even more so.

"W-Winter n-not in front of everyone!" I quietly squeaked.

"Later then, when we're alone upstairs?" She murmured. I nodded, too startled to say anything else. I didn't mind Winter being possessive over me, in fact I liked it, but I was still new to the whole relationship and intimacy thing so I wasn't ready to have everyone else know. And Winter knew that. It's why she spoke so quietly when she did it.

"Takami, you alright?" Aizawa's monotone voice broke into my thoughts.

"Y-Yes, thank you." I managed to get out. My throat had started to hurt again.

"We can discuss this later, there's no need to get it all done now." Midnight walked over, setting her hand on my back for a moment as a friendly gesture.

"Actually I'll be able to do a little bit of research this way. Can you grab me my computer, Dabi?" Winter said. I heard shuffling before he spoke.

"Here ya go."

"Thank you very much!" Winter chirped. She set up her laptop, propping it up on one bent knee and part of my back.

"Is this gonna bother you?" She asked.

"No, it's fine." I said, just happy she was here with me. Throughout the rest of the day our friends came and went, Winter not once taking a break from her research. Eventually, it was just Winter, Dabi and myself left. Winter had her feet close to the armrest of the couch. She and Dabi were leaning on each other's backs for support so they could sit upright. I was curled up against Winter's chest, laying on my side so my wings touched the back of the couch. My girlfriend rested her one hand on my head, softly stroking my hair the entire time. I loved this so much. If I could I would stay like this forever.

Winter turned off her computer, using her ice to lower it to the floor. She moved her hand from my head onto my shoulder. The three of us, without a word, slowly drifted into sleep, feeling safe by each other's sides.
