Hawks' POV

Winter's eyes lit up as we got back onto UA grounds. She dropped her things right where she stood, which was just past the gate, and ran to the grass. She slid stomach first onto it. I winced from the sight. It looked pretty painful.

She held her arms straight above her head, legs straight out too, and rolled around in the grass like a child rolling down a hill, grinning.

"Storms stop you'll get fleas." Aizawa said, a lighter tone in his voice than usual.

"Fleas? Don't worry, I got my shots." She said.

"Wait you get shots? What shots?" I asked.

"Heartworm, flea, tick, ringworm, et cetera." She listed.

"Why?"

"Because my Quirk makes me really susceptible to those things." Winter shrugged.

"Nice." Dabi said.

"Dude it's far from nice. Ugh it feels like someone ripped out my damn heart whenever I get that stupid heartworm medication. Oh well, the pain usually only lasts a day or two." She shrugged, sitting up in the grass.

"Storms can I ask a question?" Mineta raced over to the front of the group, leaving his classmates closer towards Heights Alliance.

"SAY NO!" The students shouted in unison.

"Yes." Winter looked at the student, ignoring the others' warnings. They all groaned, getting ready to grab Mineta.

"Since you have a lot of cat traits and abilities does that mean you go into heat?"

"MINETA! NO!" Aizawa roared, grabbing the student with his scarf and hauling him away. I didn't get it.

Winter paused, still for a moment before bursting into laughter. Cracking up, she tried to stand.

"Holy shit-" She wheezed, trying to catch her breath. I was sorta concerned.

"That- That's the first time someone has ever asked me that! Holy shit!" She repeated herself, building a little ice stand to lean her arms against to support herself.

"What? What's wrong with that question?" Mic asked, obviously as confused as I was. Aizawa whispered something to him, immediately making his friend glare at Mineta.

"I don't get it! What's so funny?" I asked.

"I thought you were supposed to be really smart." Dabi snorted, walking over to me.

"Many mammals such as dogs and cats go into heat when they're ready to mate." He lowered his voice so the students wouldn't hear.

"Oh my god-" I covered my face, embarrassed that I had asked.

"I never thought anyone would actually figure that out." Winter coughed, trying to catch her breath.

"WAIT HE'S RIGHT?!" Bakugo shouted.

"Storms have you no shame?!" Midnight stared at her friend.

"I don't think it's something I should particularly be ashamed of? I mean we all have little things that come from our Quirks. Like Bakugo, your Quirk comes from your sweat so you have to shower to keep from blowing everything up. And Keigo, don't think I don't know about your preening." She looked at me. I felt my face heat up as I blushed even more.

"H-How did you-"

"Like I've said; I know a lot of things that I probably shouldn't. Now come on, let's go get unpacked."

I had finished my shower and was getting the TV ready to find a movie for Winter and I to watch. She stepped out of her bathroom, wearing a black pajama crop top and some black pajama shorts that matched. I could see her toned abs, covered by that big, jagged-edged scar. Somehow it made her even hotter. Her hair was a darker rich brown, the neon royal blue streak a little darker, since it wasn't entirely dry yet. The little bit of eyeliner she sometimes had on was washed off too. Honestly seeing her fresh out of the shower was kinda sexy and intoxicating.

She walked over, sitting next to me, propping her back up on some pillows. My heart was racing.

Why are you acting like this?! Calm down, idiot!

I insulted myself. "You find a movie?" She asked, the fur on her ears and tail still damp.

"Y-Yeah... how does The Meg 2 sound?" I suggested. Winter nodded eagerly. The Meg was her absolute favorite, so she enjoyed the second one too. I played it, though I couldn't focus on it. Winter somehow was keeping me from paying attention without doing anything. She smelled great, I guessed there was some new body soap she was using. It was so distracting. A good distracting, at least. I was growing uncomfortable staying put.

"Keigo, are you alright? You're getting fidgety." She asked. I blushed, looking away.

"Hey, you can talk to me, y'know!" My girlfriend chuckled, taking my hand in hers.

"C-Can you p-please kiss me?" I begged. She smirked, figuring out what was going on.

"Of course." She grabbed the hem of my shirt around my neck, careful not to stretch out the fabric. I closed my eyes, feeling her lips touch mine. It felt so right. Winter set her one hand on the back of my head, running her fingers through my hair. My heart rate picked up again. We broke apart to breathe for a moment. I leaned in, wanting more. She shoved me away teasingly. I whined, jokingly upset.

"Be patient, Keigo. I'm not going anywhere." She chuckled, placing her free hand onto my abdomen. I subconsciously recoiled a little from the cold touch. It felt good but it startled me. I guess I craved human contact and affection more than I knew.

Somehow I think Winter knows that too.

She pulled me close again, kissing me with a little more roughly than before. I responded the same way, still not satisfied. From that point onwards throughout the night, though, Winter showed me a side of her I loved just as much as the rest of her.

Storms' POV

The movie had long ended by now. My boyfriend and I were holding each other, the covers of the bed over everything minus our heads. Keigo began to cry softly. "Hey, Keigo, why're you crying? Did I hurt you?" I worried.

"J-Just m-mem-memories..." He hiccuped. I sighed, pulling him closer. He nuzzled his head into my shoulder. I could feel his racing heartbeat.

"Kei, you're alright. No one can hurt you here. You're safe." I softly kissed the top of his head, his feathery ash blonde hair brushing against my face. He was shaking.

"It's okay, it's okay, sweetheart. Look at me, look at me." I lifted his face. He scooted upwards so he could look at me better.

"I made a promise to you that I would always be by your side. I have no intentions of ever breaking that promise. I will always love you, and I will always be here to keep you safe." I said. He smiled shakily.

"T-Thank y-y-you Wint-ter." He shuddered.

"I love you, Keigo, I really do." I pulled him in for a  hug. He laid his head on mine, chin touching my shoulder. Even though we had been working on getting him healthier and eating more so he would gain more weight, he was still weak and frail.

"I l-love you t-too." He said, affection in his voice.

"I'll always love you."
