Aubrey's P.O.V.

It is Thanksgiving week and right now I don't have a thankful feeling in my bones right now. Jake has still been missing now for what seems like forever but is really actually two weeks. My mom and dad have been kind of lenient with me and certain things.

Meaning because of what happened to Jake and me thinking how I potentially ruined his life, they have allowed me to stay home from school for a couple of days. The principal as well understood so it was kind of like no one gave me crap for it. And I don't think there ever going too.

Right now, my mom is preparing the turkey and the roast that we have on the table. Every year, my parents family come over and we have a big feast. We laugh about the good times and we kind of remind ourselves about what this holiday is all about. And although it's about giving thanks to those you love, I can't help but think that the person I want to be with on this gracious holiday, isn't here because of my biological and messed up family member.

I just don't have the holidays spirit in me right now.

Anyways, I have been in my room sulking and also trying to get my mind off of the Jake situation. It's currently Tuesday and Thanksgiving is on Thursday. I decided to make an outfit. In times like these, I always make the best outfits in the world. I think because it makes me escape and throw all my emotion into it.

Sophie and Austin tried to get me to come downstairs but I really wasn't up for it. I told them that I had a lot of work to do since it's my senior year and all. They obviously believed that, that was true.

I then got a call from Alison. She was also coming to the Thanksgiving feast at my house. My mom wanted some of my friends that I have known to be here. I used to always have to tell the family that I don't need friends or that my friend is in another state but now it will be different.

I hit the answer button as she began to speak. "Hey, so how many people will be at this family thing?" She asked.

"Well, I will have my mom's side of the family and then my dad's side of the family. My mom has two sisters and two brothers. There names are Lauren, Mia, Oliver, and Dean. My aunt Lauren is a photographer. She doesn't have any kids or a husband yet but she wants too. Plus, she is also kind of young. My aunt Mia is an a event planner. She has her own business and she is married to her husband who is a Lawyer. They also have three kids, Joseph, Aislin and Ethan. There kind of like the "it" couple when they come over. It sometimes drives my mom absolutely insane. Then, you have my Uncle Oliver and Dean. Uncle Oliver, Oli as everyone calls him, is a CEO of a toys company and Uncle Dean is a race car driver and is a 5 time NASCAR champion winner. So, you can say he is like sort of a celebrity. He also has been married for a few years now and his wife, my aunt Charlotte are expecting. My uncle Oliver has his girlfriend Hannah who will be attending and well that's my mom side. My dad, well he has three sisters. My dad is surprisingly the twin and her name is Sabrina. She is a teacher and is married to her husband, Josh. They have a 15 year old daughter name Luna and an eight month year old daughter named Paisley-Marie. Then, my other two aunts are Kelly and Madison. Aunt Kelly, she is a dance choreographer and Aunt Madison is a cop. Aunt Kelly has her boyfriend who will be attending as well named Brandon. And then Aunt Madison, she is bringing her boyfriend as well. His name is Matthew. And that is kind of the siblings of my parents and their families and also significant others. There is also my cousins and my parents' parents. So, that is pretty much the basics of who is coming." I explained.

"Wow. That's a lot of people. How much cooking is your mom going to be doing?" she asked.

"Well, my mom is doing a lot. I always tell her in the end that she doesn't need to slave herself all the time in the kitchen but then she tells me that it's what you do for family. So, I just kind of keep reminding her now because it's tradition for me too." I said.
