So, I may have lied in the beginning. And you were right, I do have a best friend. I only said I didn't because well, we never talked much. Her schedule was so different than mine. And that was because her adoptive parents thought she needed a busy schedule. And I may have been with a family member after my parents died before I went into the foster care home. When my parents died, they had left me with my Dad's brother. He was the one that my parents said that could watch me and be my guardian. Things were great until he started coming home at night, drunk off his ass. He would then come in my room and rape me. Sometimes he would hit me, if I didn't satisfy him well enough. One day, I was late for school and I forgot to put make up on to hide the bruises and the teachers started getting suspicious. They sent me to the principals office and that was the day I was taken away from my Uncle Victor's custody.

"W-what a-are y-you doing h-here." I stuttered.

"I came to see my niece. And where you going looking so beautiful. Is it a boy. What?" As soon as he said boy, Jake's car came. He got out of the car smiling but I just gave him a pleading look to go back in the car. He didn't listen. He hurriedly came and acted so normal like he never saw nothing.

"Hey Angel. You look.....wow." I gave him a small smile. I am really starting to hate Uncle Victor. (Vic for short.) He turned to see my Uncle Vic smirking at me and evilly might I add. Suddenly, my mom came and was about to say something when she saw my Uncle. She also knows the history of me and my Uncle, so thankfully she was able to think of something fast.

"Hey Victor, what a surprise. What are you doing here?" she says as she fakes a smile. She then turns to me giving me a "run" look. I quickly take Jake's hand and rushed towards his car. I open it as Jake went to the other side, not even asking a question.

Five minutes had passed, as Jake was driving. As always, he breaks the silence between us.

"What was going on back there. Why did you look like you'd seen a ghost."

"Um....I really don't want to talk about it, now. Maybe later." I smiled as he nodded assuring me he understood.

He then put on the radio and the song "Story of My Life" by One Direction came on.

'Written in these walls are the stories that I can't explain
I leave my heart open but it stays right here empty for days
She told me in the morning she don't feel the same about us in her bones
Seems to me that when I die these words will be written on my stone'

I sang along as Jake looked at me surprisingly. I smiled as I continued to sing along to Harry Styles part.

"You know, your filled with so many surprises. You know that." I giggled as he stopped at the stop light before going in the back seat for something. It was a blindfold.

"Here, put it on. Where we are about to go, is a surprise."

I put it on and all I could see was pitch black. I am kind of actually nervous because I really want this to be the best date ever. I mean if it ends badly, his feelings may change or worse. I just want everything to go as he plans. We had finally stopped and I heard Jake get out of the car. The cool breeze had hit against my skin and then disappeared. I then felt the same coolness against my skin again as I felt Jake's hand grab mine. I blushed as we walked towards wherever he was taking me.

We stopped and he walked behind me and slowly took the blindfold off. In front of me was a milkshake place, I believe. It was called California STEAKBURGER 'n Fries. I jumped in joy because I always wanted to go to one.

"OMG, I have always wanted to go to one. How did you find this place or knew I like milkshakes." he smiled as he shrugged and I hugged him. We went inside and Jake said his name as we were automatically seated in a booth. The waiter gave us two menu's and than left. I looked through it quickly before putting it down. Jake was doing the same and when he was done he put it down next to him.
