I walked to the main office slowly as I played with Mrs. Jefferson's hallway pass. She was always a weird teacher. I never got her input but, oh well.

I walked in to the office to see Ms. Heatherson talking to a student. Olivia Hollings. She is the most popular kid in our school. It seemed like she was trying to get an event out and Ms. Heatherson was giving her a hard time since she forgot her glasses. Ms. Heatherson also has a memory problem whereas she forgets things that are.....important to her.

Olivia looked aggravated as she took her stuff and stormed off. It was kind of insane. I walked up to Ms. Heatherson and told her that I was asked to be in the office.

"Your name please." she asked in a concern voice.

"Aubrey Bloom." I said.

She quickly lift her head up. She pointed to the principal's office. I didn't get her expression but I was sure she was trying to tell me, don't fall for anything the principal says. Yeah, right.

I knock before I went in to make sure I wasn't interrupting anything. Also it was the polite thing to do.

"Come in" a voice said suddenly.

I slowly open the door to find a student sitting in a seat already. It looked like the kid from the bus. Mr.Warner interrupted my thoughts.

"Aubrey, please sit down." he asked patiently.

I looked at the student to make sure he was the bus guy and he was. I turned to the principal to give him my undivided attention.

"This is Jake Ashford. He is our new student in West East High School. We get our good people to guide our new ones and make them better." Mr. Warner says unsatisfied.

"Unfortunately, they get tired of being seen as the outcast and hangout with the wrong crowd." he says looking really sternly and harsh.

"Well, Mr. Warner, I'm invisible in this school, so no one hardly knows me and well.... I wouldn't know what to say to Jake." I complained.

Mr. Warner gave me a look that was pleading me to do this. Since I had no friends and this would be the start, I decided to agree.

"Okay, I will do it but only one condition." I answered. He stayed quiet letting me continue.

"I have to come back here and tell you what I thought about it and If I don't like it, you can't force me to ever do this again." I continued.

"If you do". he asked.

"Then, something may or may not happen between Jake and I." I replied looking at Jake with a smile.

I knew this wasn't going to go well, so I thought why not play along. I just had to be a girl who is a nobody (which isn't hard since I already am one) and then, If he follows me to my next class then, we have an answer but if he doesn't then there we go.

This was going to be a long day and it just had begun to start. I walked out the door and went to our next class. Jake followed me as I brought him to the next period class which takes more than 3 minutes. It was silent between the two of us and I kind of liked it that way.

Jake broke the silence with a "So, do you want to tell me about the school or you."

I looked at him in shock to know that he didn't hate me after all.

"Ummmmmmmm.... Well the school has been running for about 25 years now and what Mr. Warner, the principal was saying, was true. People come here and then go with the wrong crowd and eventually end up making wrong choices.

"And you." he asked kindly.

"Me. Psshh, their is nothing much to talk about me, really. I am a Senior in high school and My name is Aubrey Bloom.
