Song » No Eyes by Claptone FT JAW

"Grazie ragazzi," Jasper let out in a breath when he sat down at the bar table. "For the nice weather."

The Italian sun was touching their skin. It was warm, probably 30ºC, but because of the fresh air, it was acceptable to walk around and sit in the sun without getting sunburned. The sounds of the wind and the waves of the sea filled the ears. Liv and her family arrived this morning in Riomaggiore. The nieces and cousins got together at a local cafe to catch up with each other. It was a small, typical Italian cafe with the most beautiful view of the sea.

They sat around two small tables, it was almost too small for the six people. Giulia and Boris were the oldest of the group with 23 and 26 years old, they were the children of the oldest sister of the dad of Liv. Marco and Andrea were about the same age as Liv and Jasper, with being 24 and 20 years old, they were the children of the middle sister of Liv's dad. Liv was the youngest of them all with 19 years old, and Jasper was 21 years old. A tight age gap between them all.

"Is the weather in England that bad?" Andrea smirked and took a puff from his cigarette.

"Don't get me started," Jasper said dramatically.

"Drama queen," Liv snorted and brought the glass filled with water to her lips to take a sip.

Her eyes fell on her phone, which lit up. She placed the glass on the table and got her phone. Lando had sent a message. Her mouth curved into a smile, but she parted her lips when she accidentally opened the text, so she needed to answer.

Lando: Helloo, did you arrive safely?
Liv: Yess, I did :)
Lando: Glad to hear! How's the weather? Sunny? 😜
Liv: Gosh, yes. This is so much better than the rain in England
Lando: I can imagine, hahah

"Who are you texting?" The Italian accent of Giulia filled Liv's ears. She watched how quickly Liv shut down her phone and pressed her lips into a thin line. Giulia couldn't tell if her cheeks were having a touch of sunburn or blushed, but her cheeks were soft pink.

"Hmm, what?"

Giulia raised her eyebrows. "Are you texting a boy? Your boyfriend?" She asked cheekily.

It went silence around the table, and the eyes were focused on Liv. She parted her lips and looked down. Andrea grinned and shared a look with Jasper.

"What? No," Liv protested and cleared her throat. "That was Belle," she talked herself out of it. "Anyway, I am going to the loo." She got up and walked towards the restaurant. Her eyes were glancing over the old houses and the Italian locals who passed her. It felt good to be back.

When Liv left the restaurant, a waiter held her up. The guy with dark brown eyes locked his eyes with hers and smiled. His dark blond hair was messily swept to the side, and his beard was short on the sides and a bit longer in the middle. Liv guessed he was around 25 years.

"Ciao," he smiled.

Liv stroked a piece of hair behind her ears and politely smiled back. "Salve."

"I, erm, noticed you a few months ago," he began. Liv eyes widened for a second, does that mean he knows me? Creepy. "And I wanted to give you my number, but I didn't see you after that. You are really gorgeous, and I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me?"

Liv looked surprised around her and cleared her throat. Her Italian wasn't great, but she was pretty sure he asked her out on a date. She tried to keep a smile on her face, but she had no idea what to do or how to act. What in the bloody hell is a nice way to decline this? What about Lando? I mean, we are having a good time together.

"Sergio!"

He looked behind him and saw his boss signing at him he needed to come. "Here's my phone number," he spoke and wrote his phone number down on a beer filter. "Hopefully, I will see you soon." His mouth curled into a shy but attractive smile.

"Yeah, sure," Liv stammered and looked at him.

He winked. "A presto, Bella." He stepped away from her as soon his boss called him for the second time.

"Arrivederci," she mumbled and look at his number. Her eyebrows were slightly squeezed together while she walked back to the table with her family. "I'm not even a day in bloody Italy, and I already got asked out on a bloody date," she sighed and threw the beer filter on the table.

"What?" Jasper preached and grabbed the filter to have a look at it.

"Who?" Giulia grabbed Liv's arm and widened her eyes.

"So this guy called Sergio works here long enough to notice me, wanted to give his number to me a long time ago, but when he was about to give it, I was gone. Now I have his phone number... Great." She took a sip from her water and straightened her back. "Don't make it obvious, but he's walking behind you."

They all turned around or had a look at him when she instructed it. It wasn't sneakily, no, it was a bloody attack of glancing at Sergio. Liv sighed, disappointed and let her head relax in her hand.

"He is handsome," Giulia blurted and kept following Sergio. The white t-shirt was making him more tanned, and you could perfectly see his muscles underneath it. "What is stopping you? You are hot, 19 years old, ready to mingle."

Liv crossed her legs and shook her head while laughed. "No."

"Why?"

Firstly, he's not attractive to me. Secondly, I'm not discussing my love life in front of my brother and the rest of my family. And lastly, I'm seeing Lando. Liv wasn't going to say the last part since her whole family were F1 maniacs.

"Because I'm saying so. Why is this always about me? What do you want me to do? Go out with every guy I meet and fancies me?" She sneered, annoyed and rolled her eyes. "I have control over my own love life, and when I'm single, I am single. Get over it." A smile was plastered on her face, and she looked away from them.

"Jeez, woman. Calm down," Marco let out. "What we are trying to say-"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm not doing it," Liv cut him off and shook her head. Her expression softened up and her mouth curved into a smile. The corner of Marco's mouth quirked up. "It is charming, but fuck off."

"Come on, Liv. I would die if someone asked me on a date," Marco said.

"Are you jealous?" Giulia teased and wiggled her eyebrows.

Marco squeezed his eyebrows together. "I know you have fantasies, but keep them to yourself. Woman, please," he exaggerated.

"Is your arse jealous of the amount of shit that just came out of your mouth?" Liv stated and licked her lips.

A few giggles filled Liv's ears, it made her laugh as well.

Marco pressed his lips into a thin line and shook his head. His eyes lit up when he locked his eyes with Liv's. "You are annoying, Liv. But you never disappoint me."

"Welcome." A proud smile was spread out over her face. "I didn't expect it differently."
