Song » Of love and life by Caamp
Lando pulled back and parted his lips. Shit. His eyes found Liv's eyes, and he could see the blushes on her cheeks, getting darker in the shadows of the light. She looked away. Lando could feel how his courage slowly disappeared. "I...I wanted to kiss your cheek. Not..." He swallowed hard. And this is the moment I screwed everything up. "Not..."
It felt like everybody around them stopped talking. Everything fell away around them. Liv placed her hands on his cheeks and made him look at her. "I know," she whispered.
She leant in and closed her eyes. Her heart was racing in her chest. Their lips softly touched. It was like her world exploded into shards of molten lights. Lando placed his arms around her shoulders and tightened his grip across her shoulders, pulling her into him, pressing himself into her. His lips were softer than anything she had ever known, they were smooth, soft like biting into fairy floss, like melting on your tongue. Goosebumps spread out on her body, this was driving Liv crazy. There were many explosions in her stomach, her head was feeling light and dreamy.
It was an innocent, tender 'first' kiss. This was nothing compared to the kiss at Glastonbury. This was a kiss with a feeling of liking each other, of discovering each other. It was sweet, so effortlessly sweet. There was no tongue involved, this was their first-first kiss.
Liv pulled back and bit her lip. She removed her hands from his cheeks and let them rest on her lap. Her breath was heavy, and there were a lot of tingles in her body. She let her forehead rest against his and let her mind process the kiss. Lando removed his arms from her shoulders and let his arms rest on his lap, touching Liv's arms.
"Liv," Lando breathed out.
Liv slowly opened her eyes. Their eyes locked, and a smile grew on Lando's lips. The corners of her lips lift up into a smile, and a giggle left her mouth. Her cheeks felt like they were burning. She pulled back and bit her lip.
"Look at me."
It took a few seconds before she looked at him. Her green eyes locked with his green eyes. They were sparkling, showing they were happy.
"I-"
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but you have to go. We are closing up," a polite female voice cut of Lando's sentence.
Liv looked away and squeezed her eyes closed, gosh, this is awkward. She bit on the insides of her cheeks and let out a breath. It felt like her face was on fire, she could feel the heat.
"Yes, of course. Give us a sec," Lando's voice filled her ears. He got up and checked if he got everything. His eyes laid on Liv, who looked embarrassed. "Come," he said and pulled out his hand. Liv looked at him, grabbed his hand and got up. They took the empty bottles with them and left the field.
"My goodness, that was embarrassing," Liv let out.
Lando smirked and threw away the garbage. "Yeah, nah, could have been worse."
"That woman could have wait and come back later. I mean, she isn't that stupid we were in a moment," she stammered. "Or am I stupid?"
He kept quiet, only having a smile on his face. A pair of eyes burned into his skin. He looked up and saw her looking at him. His small smile grew into a bright, wide smile.
"What?"
"It's cute how you get annoyed," he said softly and tangled their fingers together. "But shy at the same time."
She looked away. "This whole situation is definitely helping me, at all," she let out on a sarcastic tone. A shiver rolled down her spine. She hadn't noticed the cold first because she had Lando who kept her warm.
