Song » Wasn't expecting that by Jamie Lawson

"It's been a while since the last time I went to McDonald's," Lando said when he and Liv entered the food chain. They walked straight to the order screens.

Liv nodded. "Same," she said and touched the screen. "And the big question is: what am I gonna get? So many delicious menu's..."

He grinned when a thought entered his mind. "You know what's on the menu?" He asked her. She looked at him and raised her eyebrows. "Me n u." A proud look captured his face. When he saw the deep pink colour on Liv's cheeks, a laugh rolled over his lips. Precious.

Liv turned back to the screen and bit on the insides of her cheeks. That was smooth. She heard Lando giggle behind her. "Bastard," she mumbled and decided to go for a cheeseburger menu with fries and an iced tea. She looked at Lando again, and he still grinned.

"You're adorable when you are blushing," he teased.

"You know that it isn't really helping," she mumbled shyly stepped away from the screen.

He laughed. "You're so easy to tease with, your reaction is just amazing," he said and winked. His eyes glanced over all the menus on the screen. "Is it bad I want everything?" Lando replaced his cap on his head and kept doubting on what he should get: a burger, nuggets...and if he chooses for a burger, what kind of burger should he get? "I will just go for a BigMac menu and nuggets," he mumbled to himself.

Lando paid for the meals, and he and Liv had a seat at the back of the restaurant so Lando would not get recognised. The service of this McDonald's was terrific; order, get a receive, sit at your table and the staff will bring it at your table.

"Dessert is on me," Liv said and took off her coat. She saw him grinning, and she realised what just happened; not dessert as in ice cream, but the other dessert. "Can you just stop it?"

"You're making it so easy for me, babe," he replied and winked. She looked away, it was adorable to see her becoming shy. Lando widely smiled and focused on the song that was playing in the restaurant. "The Killers," he said and jammed along with the song.

Liv looked at him and raised an eyebrow, focussing on the song. A smile grew on her face when she heard the song: Human. "Are we human. Or are we dancer?" She softly said.

"I have to say that concert changed my life. It took me a lot of effort, but it did," he said, pointing at the two rejections of Liv a week after Glastonbury.

"Oh please, don't talk about that part," she dramatically said. Lando smirked. "For real. That day, that festival, that was the first big thing in my life after Courtney died. And then we kissed, and I had no idea what the fuck was happening with me," she said painfully, but in a playful way.

"You rejected me twice, Liv," he said and laughed about those moments. "Twice...that hurt a lot."

Liv smiled. "I know, I wish I didn't do it though, I'm sorry. But no need to complain now, you still managed to make me fall in love with you." This time it was Lando's time to blush. "It just took some time, but it was worth it." She licked your lips. "I remember you showing up at a lecture, I thought you were stalking me or something."

"Oh, yeah, thanks," he said, quasi offended. "I honestly had no idea you went to college, and I had no idea you worked at Cafe Art. I guess it was meant to be, Olivia."

"Yeah, it is," she whispered and looked him in the eyes. "It changed my life, too, in a positive way. I honestly never thought I could be happy again after what happened, and I'm glad you persuaded me for a meet-up."
