Song » Riding the wave by Maxim Lany
"See you tomorrow, man," George told Lando when he passed him on his way to the exit of the track. The evening fell in Abu Dhabi, every team was going back to the hotel. Lando and Liv were waiting on Carlos and Isa around the exit.
"Yeah. Good night," Lando smiled at his friend.
George let his eyes glance over the woman, who was standing next to him and stopped walking. "Is that...?" He gave Lando a smile.
"Oh, right. Liv, this is George, the driver who hasn't scored any points. George, meet Liv," Lando introduced the two at each other.
"Hi, I'm Liv," Liv politely said and shook George his hand when he stuck it out towards her.
"I'm George. Nice to finally meet you. This small man couldn't stop talking about you. Liv this... Liv that..." George told her and winked cheekily. Liv let a laugh roll over her lips and Lando snorted. "Alex!"
"Mate, just...don't," Lando warned him and looked disapproving at George.
Liv looked around and saw a man walking in a Red Bull outfit over to them. She was slightly confused, maybe because it was a long day.
"What's up?" Alex asked and crossed his arms in front of his chest.
Lando parted his lips surprised when he glanced at Liv before looking at George. George parted his lips to talk, but Lando cut him off. "Okay, alright, alright. This is Liv, the girl I have been talking about."
Alex raised his eyebrow and looked at Liv; she looked kind. "Nice to finally meet you, Liv. I'm Alex," he smiled. "I feel like I already know you because Lando talks about you a lot. Great to finally meet you," he repeated.
Liv cleared her throat and straightened her back. "Nice to meet you too, both of you," she replied and looked at George as well.
"Anyway, have a good night," George said and padded Lando's shoulder.
Alex nodded. "I'm off as well. I will see you around," he said and waited for George to walk away.
"Cheers," Liv smiled when they both walked away. She looked at Lando and softly squeezed her eyebrows together. "So you talk a lot about me?" She teased. "First Daniel, Max told me about it as well, now George and Alex..."
Lando avoided her eyes and looked over her shoulder. "I..." He sighed. "Like you told your friends."
"I have only like two friends," she shot back and chuckled. "Who both know." She raised her hand and placed it on his cheek. It made Lando look in her eyes. She thought it was cute to see him shy and quiet. "Adorable," she murmured.
"How long can Carlos stay at the thing he supposed to be at?" Lando changed the subject.
Liv snorted, he was trying to hide his shyness. She stepped closer towards him and replaced his orange McLaren cap backwards on his head. Her eyes were locked with his, his beautiful eyes were sparkling while his skin under her hand was glowing. She pressed her lips against his for a few seconds and let her forehead resting against his. Lando couldn't help it, but a grin grew on his face.
"Alrighty love birds," the Spaniard said when walked towards Lando and Liv's direction. "Ready to go, or should we leave you two alone?"
Liv bit her lip and stepped away from Lando. She looked down and shyly smiled. Lando's fingers wrapped around her hand and waved their fingers together. Lando told Carlos to fuck off, while Liv awkwardly smiled at Isa. The four people made their way to the exit, towards the hotel. Lando and Carlos teased around while Liv only listened to it. Isa sometimes said something, but not much.
