Lando💞: You forgot your charger last night
The relationship between Lando and Liv became strong over the past few weeks. They called, FaceTimed and texted a lot - mainly because of the busy and tight schedule Lando was facing due to his job. When Lando had free time and was in England, they would meet up for a coffee. Last night Liv came over to have dinner together and to study while Lando had to observe documents of his previous race in Monza from his engineer.
Liv♥️: Oh
Lando💞: And I kinda locked myself outside
Lando💞: Can you maybe come to my place and open the door for me? 👀
Lando💞: Only if you're in the neighbourhood
Lando💞: I can drop your charger off at your house if that suits you better later when I got my keys
Liv♥️: No, it's okay. I will be there in fifteenWas it really okay? Liv didn't want to socialise today. It was one of those days she wanted to stay in bed all day and hide from people. Going to class was already though, let alone faking a smile to Lando and act like everything was fine, but it wasn't, not today. Liv got in the car and typed in his address; she went to his place twice and didn't catch the road to it when Lando drove. She deeply breathed in and swallowed hard. Just the charger and key, nothing more. Lando gave her his spare key last time because Lando couldn't make it on time, so he gave her the key so she could go inside. And since that moment, she forgot to give the key back.
After a twenty-minute drive from college, she entered the property of the flat Lando lived in. Her eyes scanned the area, and she caught him sitting on a wall while scrolling through his phone. She parked the car and got out. Lando noticed Liv and got off the small wall.
"Hey," he smiled relieved and walked towards her. His eyes glanced over the blue Tesla. "Fancy car you got."
A weak smile was plastered on her lips. "Hey," she softly said, ignoring the comment on the car. She wasn't feeling it, her head told her to go home. Lando was about to give her a kiss, but she turned her head away, so his lips landed on her cheek. He closed his eyes and squeezed his eyebrows together: ouch. "Your keys," she mumbled.
Lando cleared his throat. "Er...yes. Thank you," he awkwardly said while rubbing his neck. "Do you want to come in? Have a cup of tea?"
Liv was avoiding his eyes. Instead of looking at him, her eyes were focused on the door next to Lando. Did she want to come in? Yes, I do, because this will be the last time I see him before his next race. No, I want to go home and cry - but that isn't an option too since I told Isabelle I would come over. Lando could see the doubt on her face, something was going on, and he couldn't see what.
"Yeah," Liv answered and nodded slowly. "I'd love that."
"You sure?" He looked worried and sounded that too. She nodded again and bit her lip. "Alright, come."
Liv followed him to Lando's own flat. She promised to not go anywhere, only to Isabelle. When thinking about this, she could feel the tears coming up. Do not cry, Liv. She tightened her jaw and blinked the tears away. Her eyes were following Lando who stepped inside of his own flat. When she got in, she removed the shoes and coat from her body before walking to the living room. Lando was telling her about his day, she filtered a few words, such as; I don't know, work, Grand Prix and stupid. Everything that was meant for her as traffic didn't arrive. She sat down on the couch and pressed her hands against each other.
