Song » Hey brother by Avicii
Lando took on his coat and looked at the family of Liv. "Thanks again for dinner. It was a pleasure to meet you."
Giuseppe smiled. "Anytime. Have a nice evening, Lando."
Liv smiled and looked at how Lando was communicating with her family. It was like they already knew him for a few years, it felt familiar and right. It wasn't uncomfortable at all. Liv heard stories about the moment when Isabelle's boyfriend Lorenzo met her parents, it was like a first-class disaster - how Isabelle liked to say it. And when Oliver met Taron's family: it was awkward. Unlike them, meeting Lando's family felt natural and trusted - it was maybe a bit stiff in the beginning, but that is because I don't have skills to socialise. And this evening, when Lando got to meet Liv's family, it was comfortable and relaxed.
Lando and Liv stepped towards the front door, and Liv put her arms around his torso. If she was honest, she didn't want him to go home.
"Drive home safely," she softly said.
Lando placed his arms around her shoulders. "I will don't worry," he said and smiled. "I'm a driver, an excellent driver."
She smirked. "Still."
"I want to thank you," he said and pulled away. He cupped her face in his hand and looked at her. "For everything last week, you really made it more fun. I didn't expect it, I can't imagine a better girlfriend."
"My pleasure," she said. "I really enjoyed it too."
He gave her a kiss and hugged her tightly again. "See you soon, Livie."
"See you soon, Lan," she said.
Lando pulled back again and stepped away from her. He grabbed his bag and opened the front door. When he stepped outside, he turned around and gave her one last kiss. "Sleep well," and he gave her a wink.
"Good night," she smiled and bit her lip. She leant against the doorpost and crossed her arms because the cold air was slamming against her body. Her eyes followed Lando to his car. "Text me when you're home!"
"I will!"
Lando got into his car, and the first thing he did was smiling, broad smiling. He was feeling happy. I probably look like an idiot right now, he thought. He bit his lip and looked at the steering wheel, wow. This feeling he had, he had never felt it before. He started the car and drove away. When he past Liv, he waved at her, and he watched how she waved back.
Liv kept standing in the door opening until Lando drove away from her. She stepped inside and closed the front door. Cold. She quickly walked to the living room to embrace the warmth. A yawn escaped her mouth.
"He's a lovely boy," Liv's mum said and looked at her tired daughter. "When did he ask the question?"
Jasper looked up from his phone. "You knew?"
"One week and two days before you knew, shit face," Liv replied at Jasper and grabbed her stuff from the coffee table. "And yesterday," she answered her mother's question.
"Adorable," Giuseppe said.
Liv yawned again. "As much I like to tell you everything, I can't keep my eyes open anymore. I will give you a whole presentation with everything in it tomorrow, I promise," she told her family.
"Can't wait for it. I expect a solid 10 out of 10 presentation with quality," her dad said and grinned.
"I will do my best," Liv nodded. "Good night familia," she said and walked towards the stairs.
