Mint's POV

Today is the day that i'm gonna turn into a real woman. Finally I'm already eighteen!

My Mom and Dad greet me a happy birthday first in the morning and then i got surprise when i walk downstairs and i saw my boyfriend holding a boquet of roses. He greets me and gave me a sweet kiss.

What a perfect way to start my day. I consider myself the luckiest person in the world kahit ngayong araw lang. In fact this is my day right? So why not cherish it.

And for my party as much as i want it to keep it simple, my parents still insisted for a grande type of party kaya ano pa nga bang magagawa ko kundi hayaan na lang sila sa gusto nila. Kaya ang kinalabasan ay sila na ang nag organize nito. But still they ask me of what type of things that i like and i'm glad with that.

Now that everything is fine, i'm really contented and happy with my life at the moment. All the negativity is gone at wala na akong balak na balikan ito.

After that incident, when Josh forgive me on my mistakes. We start again like back to zero, a real fresh start for our relationship. Because we all know that our relationship started with full of lies and hatred before that doesn't benefit us both, it just ruin our lives even more. So we agreed to forget everything from the past specially the miserable one and continue our lives with a good ones.

Anyways, Josh and I spend a lot of time together. He's been really genuinely sweet to me everytime we're together showing hot affection on me makes me fall for him too deeply.

My Mom and I are in the Spa at the moment. We're relaxing and treating ourselves to ready for the party later.

It's currently 5:45 pm and 15 minutes left before the most awaited party gonna start. Andito ako sa dressing room at kasalukuyang inaayosan pa rin ako bale nireretouch na lang nila ako at kinukuhanan nila ako nang documentation. And i don't know why.

May pumasok naman na coordinator at inannounce na magi-start na ang party. I heaved a deep sigh. I'm nervous yet excited. I mean this is my first time having a party at humarap sa maraming tao na ako ang center of attraction because the last time that i've been the center of attraction is being bullied by my sister, oh let me rephrase that... A half sister indeed.

And again, the coordinator gave us a cue kaya nagsimula na akong maglakad. The spotlight focused on me and even though the sorroundings are dim, i can feel their eyes are on me. I tried to smile while walking slowly downstairs and when i reached the end the light got bright again and i hear a round of applause.

My eyes roam around and i saw my parents staring with their teary eyes at me. And my eyes continue roaming and there i saw my best friends looking fabulous with their dresses.

I'm looking for Josh but i can't see him. I saw his friends and they're complete except him. Why is he not here? Baka late lang. I just shrugged.

The party continues and still there's no sign of Josh. Why am i feeling this way? I mean, i feel nervous and i don't know why. I'm jittering the whole duration of the party rituals. I'm happy naman but something lacks or should i say someone.

Until we reach the 18 roses which supposedly isasayaw ako. The first 10 men are some family relatives and close friends and it went well.

And now it's the Oozing New Gen's turn at nauna sa kanila si Daniel, then sumunod naman si Llenard, Linus, Walter, Jerome and then Rod.

"You're so beautiful tonight, Avrei." He compliments me and show off his signature smile.

"Thank you, Rod. And you look dashing and oozing as well." Ganti ko rito.

"I know, i know." He replies then chuckled.

"Wow, hindi man lang uso sayo ang magpakahumble noh..." Reklamo ko then i pouted. And again he just laugh at me.

After him is my Dad's turn na. Rod handed me on my Dad and he gladly accept it.

"Hello my beautiful princess, happiest birthday to you." He greets me while dancing me.

"Thank you, Dad." I answered and gave him my genuine smile.

"I can't believe my baby girl is finally turning into a woman now. Napakabilis ng panahon at ang dami kong pagkukulang sayo." He said in teary eyes.

"Aww... Dad, it's really okay na. Hindi pa naman po huli para bumawi kayo di ba. And in fact i'm so happy kasi i'm having a sibling na such an amazing gift di ba. So cheer up Dad. We should be happy right now." I said. He just hug me and i gladly do the same.

Ngunit bigla na lang kaming nagulat nang biglang mamatay ang ilaw at may nagpaputok ng baril kaya nagpanic ang lahat ng tao.

What the hell is happening?

"Dad? What's happening?" I hesterically said. Pero wala akong natanggap na sagot. I started panicking kaya napaluha na ako.

Patuloy pa rin ang pagsisisigaw ng mga tao at nagitla ako nang biglang may tumutok ng matalim na bagay sa may bewang ko. Hindi ko rin makita kung sino dahil madilim ang paligid at nasa likod ko lamang ito.

Oh no! What am i going to do?

Is this my end?

Sino ba ang may kagagawan nito? Ano ang gusto niya at bakit niya ginagawa ito?

My tears continue falling non stop.

"Who are you? W-why are you doing this?" Nanginginig kong tanong. Sobrang kinakabahan ako.

Hindi pa rin ito nagsasalita. Ngunit naramdaman ko na lang ang paglagay niya ng panyo na pantakip sa mata ko. Mas lalo lamang nadagdagan ang kaba ko.

Ang sunod ko na lamang na narinig ay ang nakakatakot na halakhak nito.
