MLJ Comics was empty when we arrived. Fangs and Jughead were waiting outside in case we found anything. Sweet Pea entered first to appear like he was browsing before I entered a few minutes later.

"Hi," I greeted as I walked to the counter, making sure to act completely clueless about the fact that Sweet Pea was totally looking through the stack of comics like it was the coolest thing he's seen in his life.

The guy was clearly unamused at my presence. "Can I help you?"

I nodded and leaned closer slightly. "Yeah, do you uh, do you think I could get a little game enhancement?" I asked quietly.

He still didn't seem convinced and stepped back from the counter slightly. "You were here that night that we were playing in the back. With the Red Paladin."

I inwardly panicked at being recognized and tried to battle my way through the situation. "I know, I know. Listen, my boyfriend doesn't know that I'm totally headfirst into G&G, okay? If you could just give me a little enhancement, I swear I'll make it worth your time." I added a wink for the extra measure even though I hated every bit of what I was doing to see if this was a hotspot location for Gladys.

The guy hesitated for a moment as he watched Sweet Pea to see if he was paying attention. After a moment, he slid a book across the counter to me. "That's a limited edition," He coded, "50 bucks."

I nodded as I opened the book to see a red packet of Fizzle Rocks in between the pages. Following Jughead's instructions, I let out a low whistle, which instantly had Sweet Pea's attention. In seconds, the Serpent was dragging the worker out from behind the counter as I stepped back, away from the chaos. Jughead and Fangs came sprinting through the door at the sound of commotion.

"Hey there," Jughead greeted with a smirk on his face as he walked towards the employee. "Remember me? Last time I was here with the Red Paladin. And that day, I was in a good mood, but today, I'm in a bad mood." His switchblade clicked as he pulled it out of his pocket, instantly invoking fear into the guy Sweet Pea and Fangs had pinned to the table. "You can help me with that by telling me where all these drugs are coming from."

"The Gargoyles are dealing again," The worker spilled without any other threat, clearly fearful of the situation.

"Where are they selling from?" Jughead continued to interrogate him, needing any of the answers he could get. "We've been to all the hotspots."

The worker continued to struggle under Sweet Pea's grip. "No, it's old school. Street corners. But you can tell by the gargoyles on wires."

He suddenly flew back as Sweet Pea let go. "What the hell does that mean?" The Serpent asked for clarity.

"In some cities, when you see a pair of sneakers on telephone wires, it means that there's a drug den nearby. But he's saying-"

"Look for gargoyles instead of shoes," The worker finished Jughead's sentence.
