The feeling of dread became overwhelming as I realized I was alone in the house with a literal drug dealer who could easily outsmart me at the game in front of us. Nevertheless, I rolled my eyes as I moved back to the couch. "Cut the G&G shit, Kurtz. They're fulfilling the quest. What do you want with me?"

"It really was a double-edged quest, meaning you should be attending to me, but considering the risk already on your shoulders, I'll let it slide," He said as he sat back into the couch across from me.

"What do you mean by the risk on my shoulders?" I repeated with concern.

He shook his head. "I mean, you didn't think your father was really gone from Riverdale, did you?" Instant dread washed over me at his words. "He has plans to see you again, under the radar, and you alone."

I knew in the back of my mind that my father was never really gone. That would be too easy, and it's never easy. Although, Kurtz's revelation helped to at least gain a footing on how I would handle this from here. Clearly a restraining order wasn't enough to keep him away, but I didn't need my friends and family getting caught in the crossfires like before.

"Well, you can tell him that I'm done playing this round and round again. He's never coming back into my life and that's the end of that," I huffed and rolled my eyes in annoyance. I really was sick of all of my past coming back to haunt me.

"Oh, he may not come back into your life but he'll make sure you never forget him," He taunted as he gave me a suspicious look. I shook my head and ignored him as Gladys and Jughead burst through the door. "And then there were three," Kurtz joked just before Jughead's fist connected with his cheek, sending the boy across from me unconscious.

"The cops are probably on their way over here," Gladys commented as she stood behind her son.

Jughead continued to glare at Kurtz. "Yeah," He mumbled before turning to face me. "Are you okay?"

"Fine," I replied as I got to my feet to approach him. "What happened to your dad? Is everything alright?"

Gladys waved off the concern. "FP will be fine, don't worry. Come on, we gotta move somewhere."

After relocating Kurtz and the game of G&G to the bunker in the forest, I realized how much more than a game this truly was. I mean, on a real level, my boyfriend and his parents just committed a robbery of my sister's business. The craziest part was I couldn't even see it as shocking. This was Riverdale, and their normal was crazy.

"Kurtz is an insidious bastard," Jughead said as he stood behind me amongst the lights of the candles. "I mean, even if we save Jellybean, we still lose. I just robbed Pop's at gunpoint. It was unloaded, but still. How can we stay in Riverdale after that?"

"Jug, don't worry about it." I twisted on my chair to look at him while grabbing his hand. "I told you, I'll explain everything to Veronica, it'll be fine."
