They say when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. What happens when life gives you an organ-stealing cult, a horror game come to life, and drug-dealing drama all while you're trying to have a normal junior year of high school? Savanna Marrows is...

We reconvened again at the Serpent Headquarters to review our new information from the tattoo artist. Betty certainly believed Edgar Evernever was behind the first set of tattoos and she was ready to prove it at a moment's notice, but we needed to go over the facts first and make sure it really did add up.
"Guys, the tattoo artist said that a guy with blond hair and blue eyes got a Gargoyle King tattoo about a year ago. That's right around the time The Farm moved into town, and right before any of this game stuff started to happen," Betty explained.
I scoffed, "Geez, it's seriously been that long? Feels like yesterday I was stuck in the freaking hospital for the longest time ever and..." I looked up to see both of them staring at me. I winced, "Sorry, keep going."
"Adding on, my mom just got a tattoo per Mr. Evernever's request," Betty finished up as she held up a piece of paper with the man's name on it.
Jughead sighed, "Okay, but if the Gargoyle King is Edgar, then how does that explain your mom seeing him during Ascension Night nearly two decades before Edgar got to town?"
"Who says that the new Gargoyle King is the same person as the old one?" I offered, "Alice gave a testimony to The Farm about the whole Midnight Club, right, Betty? He could've easily taken that persona and ran with it."
"I know that Edgar's been messing with your family," Jughead said to Betty, but she interrupted him before he could continue.
"Think about it," She rambled, "Edgar bought The Sisters of Quiet Mercy, where the game originated. Both he and the Gargoyle King preach ascension. Both of them have followers that they manipulate, and they're both really, really creepy. There's only one way to settle this... and fast."

"Why. Why, why, why," I spoke to myself as we walked up the large staircase that led to the entrance of The Sisters of Quiet Mercy. "I hate coming here, I just want you to know," I whispered to Jughead as he held my hand while we walked. "Even at the cast party, if I wasn't drunk, it would've been bad."
"I know," Jughead understood as he kissed the back of my hand. "It'll be okay. We let Betty do the talking and we'll leave, alright? I'll be by your side the whole time."
I nodded in acceptance and squeezed his hand tighter before we entered the large doors. Betty seemed to have the entire place mapped out as she led the way through the large building. We came upon two double doors as voices were inside.
"Now, who's next?"
Betty burst forward with zero hesitance and shoved the doors open. "Me," She responded without a beat. "How about you admit that you're the Gargoyle King?"
Jughead and I remained in the doorway as we watched our friend walk forward into the room filled with people. Candelabras were lit amongst the walls, casting a yellow shadow over the room. Alice, who was sitting next to our target of the night, instantly apologized for her daughter's actions.
