Debra sat there alone after they got out of the van. Wow that was a weird conversation. It unsettled her a little with what he said. Just a few words and it made her anger disappear. Was he really different? Could she trust another man? So many questions running through her mind that she didn't even notice that he was walking back to the van.

Dammit Aaron thought to himself when he realized he needed to go check the engine on the end of the train. He didn't really want to be alone with her just yet. Why were the Gods being so cruel knowing that he didn't want to be with anyone yet. He could see she was just sitting there staring off into space and he knew that she would be startled when he opened the door. So he tapped on the window softly.

She about jumped out of her skin when she heard the tap on the window. She looked over and saw it was Aaron. Her heart skipped another beat when she saw him standing there all apologetic.
He tried the door but it was locked. He looked at her and saw her flush and fumbled with the door lock. He got in the passenger seat and closed the door?

"I'm sorry I scared you. I need you to drive me to the end of the train I need to sign off on it." Aaron stated.

"Oh of course, whatever you need." She stammered. Once they had their seat belts on she took off. They rode in silence for a few seconds. The air was thick with tension. She sighed. "I accept your apology on one condition."

He turned to her confusion on his face.
"What is the condition?" He asked.

"Will you accept my apology for being so emotional and jumping to conclusions about what you said. I should have never assumed you were like others and I shouldn't have gotten angry at you." She said. She didn't look at him or she would have never been able to tell him that.

He stayed quiet for a minute before he answered her. He turned towards her in his seat. "Well I don't know. You really hurt my feelings. I don't know if I can get over it that easily." He said.

She quickly turned and looked at him, her eyes wide. "What!"

He sat there grinning like a school boy. He was joking with her and he started laughing. He threw his hands in the air. "I'm kidding. I just couldn't help myself." He laughed some more.

She relaxed in her seat and started laughing along with him. "That wasn't nice at all. I was thinking oh my gosh what a wimp." She laughed even harder when his face went still. "Just kidding."

He started laughing again. Their laughter died down and they sat there staring at each other.

"What is it about you?" She questioned as her hand went out and cupped the side of his face without even thinking.

His eyes closed and he leaned into her hand sighing. How long had it been since a woman touched him so tenderly. He opened his eyes and looked straight into those honey eyes of hers.
He reached out and grabbed her hand lightly and he pulled her hand back from his face. He brought it to his lips, turned it over and gently kissed the palm of her hand. "You do something to me too." His eyes searched hers and he leaned in to kiss her. She felt his breath on her lips and her eyes closed. Just then the dispatcher called out on the radio. Their eyes snapped open and they quickly sat back each in shock that they almost kissed.

He grabbed the mic and talked back and quickly exited the van. What the fuck just happened. He thought trying to clear his head to do the work he needed to. Why does he keep doing this stupid shit. He just couldn't help himself. His hands just reached out on their own. He didn't understand.

She sat there her mind was reeling. He kissed her palm like in her dream! What the hell! She almost let him kiss her! Her hands were shaking and she was suddenly scared. She didn't want or need anything complicated right now. Too much too fast she thought. Her hands covered her face as she tried to calm herself. Why is this happening. It's not like other guys haven't flirted or tried to be touchy feely. She could push them off and away like nothing. Why the hell would she just blurt out how he made her feel.
