"Annyeonghaseyo" Eli greets me with a warm smile, as he occupies a chair opposite to mine "someone seems to be in a good mood" he winks.
Thinking back to last night, suddenly the smiling face of Zhan Ge flashes in front of my eyes and I blush "No, nothing of that sort"
"Really?" Eli raises his eyebrows and grins and I nod.
"Alright, I won't tease you" he looks around the cafeteria and then back at me "did you have a look at the menu or do you still have to decide?"
"I haven't had a chance to look at the menu yet" I look at the huge line forming in front of the cashier.
"Well then wait for me, I'll get something for us. Any specifications?" He enquires and I shake my head.
I look around as I wait for him and I realise this place is student friendly. Unlike your normal cafeteria, this is nice, warm and cosy. On one side you have the floor to ceiling glass window with a view of the sea far beyond the horizon and the other side, you have such fabulous landscape.
The seating arrangements are comfortable, chairs stacked with soft cushions to sit on. The university does not have many students as only the most deserving get admission here, so it's never overly crowded too.
My reverie is broken when a girl takes the seat next to mine and smiles when she sees me.
"You're so cute" she comments and then chuckles softly "apologise, Eli was talking about you last night and asked me to join you guys for breakfast. Hope that's alright?"
At the mention of Eli's name, I relax. If she is Eli's friend then I have no issues.
"It's not an issue ma'am" I smile and her eyes widen "Ma'am? Wow aren't you polite?" her laugh is sweet and soft "let me start by introducing myself. Hi, I am Ahn Mei" she brings her hand forward to shake and I reciprocate "Nice to meet you, my name is Wang Yibo" I smile back.
Before we could continue our conversation, Eli is back with three bowls in one tray and his eyes light up when he sees Mei waiting for him. Placing the bowls in front of us, he kisses the top of her head and it dawns on me, she is his partner. A soft pink colours her cheeks when he sits down by her side and winks at her.
