~45 years Later~
Hua Lian's POV:
"You'll be alright my love. Just remember go up there and be yourself. Spread the words of love that both Appa and BaBa has taught us." A sweet caring voice whispers in my ear and I turn to embrace that precious soul. My Wife. Wang Xiao Akira.
"Appa, Jiayou!" I look down and grin at my 10 year old son, Sean. Taking him into my arms I admire his smile and a deep melancholy hits me when I am reminded of my Baba's smile.
"Xie Xie" kissing his sweet cheeks I nudge my nose against his when the host for today's event calls my name. Kissing my wife's forehead, I hand Sean back to her and proceed towards the stage.
"Please put your hands together for Dr. Wang Xiao Hua Lian." I walk over to where she is standing and bow at the audience present in the studio and towards the camera for all those who couldn't be present.
"Please have a seat" the Host warmly greets me and I smile at ease.
"Firstly I must congratulate you and your family for the successful sale of million plus copies of the prestigious book Black. Today is a prestigious and proud day for you Dr. Hua Lian. Could you give us an insight about Black?"
"Thank you for you warm words. Yes, it is indeed a proud day for my family and me. Black is more like a diary of poems written by my parents throughout the coming years. This book of poems always had its place in our home studio and often I'd find my parents write something in them. To be truthful I was never intrigued in finding out it's content because everytime they updated the book, they would have this huge but a very personal smile on their face. I always assumed they were writing love letters to eachother. This was one of the reason that I did not wish to encroach upon their privacy."
"Dr. Hua Lian, it's unfortunate that few years ago Dr. Xiao Zhan passed away due to cancer and ill health. Could you share something about him with his fans?"
"None of us knew he was sick and rather he himself was unaware of it. One day while playing with my son he coughed up blood and that scared all of us. When the reports came back, the doctor said his cancer had already reached stage four and there was nothing we could do. Of course he could have gone through all the painful medical therapy, but he didn't want that. He wanted to spend all his last moments with my BaBa. He often said 'I want to see my Bo Di smiling.' Appa was afraid that my BaBa would lose his smile.
"He was right about his husband. In front of Appa, my BaBa acted strong and mighty but at night when there was no one around, he would completely break down. I think Appa knew for a fact that my BaBa would find it extremely difficult to survive without him and even his last words were 'Bo Di, till the stars shine brightly and the world is blessed with music, we'll meet again.' This were his solace to my BaBa."
"You think they would've met eachother?" The Host smiles and I nod my head proudly "Knowing them, definitely they would have met eachother."
"Could you tell us something about Mr. Wang Yibo?"
My face automatically lights up "He is what we call a hopeless romantic. My BaBa is a flirt when it comes to Appa. He'd find all his ways and means to tease my Appa. I'd say to quite an extent, my grandfather, Xiao Kim is the reason for this. He spoiled BaBa. Grandpa Kim would flirt with my Grandma and BaBa would not leave one stone unturned. I think they secretly competed with eachother too on how much cheesy lines they'd use on their respective partners."
At this the entire studio starts laughing and I smile warmly.
"When my BaBa would go on tours, my grandpa would sulk around. Appa would tease grandpa that for him, Yibo was more of his son than himself. Well until the very end, grandpa Kim never refuted those words. My other set of Grandparents from Baba's side were sweet and loving. Not as boisterous as grandpa Kim, but nevertheless dotted on my Appa more than BaBa.
