Wang Yibo's POV:
"I am just entering the university building" I smile as I hear his concern "Yes, don't worry I'll call you once I am free" I whisper the last part "I miss you".
"Don't say that Bo Di" he groans "when you know I can't be by your side. Anyways you take care and call me when you're done. Bo Di" he pauses "we haven't met each other for almost a week and it feels like forever".
I agree "You've been busy" I tease him and he growls "So have you. You have your exams coming up. Study well and then we'll play" I can hear his grin and I laugh at that.
Cancelling the call I walk into the practice room where I find Eli and Mei waiting for me. At times I wonder what good deed did I perform that I met such lovely souls here. For them the world did not exist when they were together, but for me, they always made way.
"Hey" I greet them and take a seat next to Mei who passes a styrofoam cup filled with coffee towards me and I thank her.
"Hey, how's hyung?" Eli smiles as he tunes his guitar. "How would I know?" I feign ignorance and take another sip as he raises his eyebrows "First of all don't lie. You're a terrible liar. Secondly, whenever you talk to hyung, you have this gleeful smile on your face" he smirks "to be honest if I didn't have the same smile on my face after talking to Mei, I'd have found yours very annoying" he comments and Mei chuckles.
Shaking my head I down the coffee just as our instructor Ms. Tee enters the class.
"Alright as everyone are aware in few weeks you'll be having your exams but that's just going to add pressure on those students who have been selected to play for the Charity Event which is organised by the institute every year. The best will be selected and they will have a chance to play with Dr. Xiao Zhan" at Zhan Ge's name, Eli nudges my foot and I grin. "For this year's charity event, we're going to work for the Drug Abused Kids and their rehabilitation. So let's all work hard" she smiles and we all cheer.
"For now I would like us to work on this song which is written by Kim Mi Yoon. Mei can I have you on the vocals? Eli on the Guitar. Yibo on the Piano. Dave on the drums. Pete on the Cello" with one clap she moves and we take the centre.
I close my eyes and play the first key and my soul transcends the world beyond. When it's me and my music, nothing else matters. Each passing notes is a vow from my soul to the one who can feel the love that I pour out.
