Chapter Twenty-Six, Breaking through the wall.

~Momoko's P.O.V~

my eyes fluttered open to the sunlight shinning into the room. "damn the light is so bright..", i groaned as i pulled the blanket up over my face. i shivered as i realized i was cold. i stretched out my hand trying to find brick so i could cuddle with him and get warm. i moved my hand around searching for him but i couldn't feel him. i pulled the blanket off my head and looked at where brick had been sleeping. brick was gone. i quickly sat up and looked around the room. he wasn't there. i wonder where he went. i kicked the blankets off me and got out of bed. i noticed brick's sweatshirt was lying on the bed so i picked it up and put it on and zipped it up. it was way to big for me and was almost like a short dress. i quickly walked out of the room and shoved my hands into my pockets. i walked down the hall and into the living room. the three young puffs sat on the love seat. boomer and miyako were cuddled up on the couch together and brick sat in the chair. "morning momo", brick said as he smiled at me. "morning bricky", i said as i smiled back at him. every one smiled at me. "morning guys", i said as i smiled. "morning", every one said. "wearing my jacket huh?", brick asked. "yes it's fucking cold in here!", i said as i walked over to the thermostat and turned the heat up. "i'll warm you up", brick said as i walked back over to him. brick pulled me onto his lap and covered us both up with the blanket that was draped over the arm of the chair. i snuggled in closer to him and laid my head on his shoulder. "whoa!! damn your hands are cold!!", brick said as he jumped when my cold hands touched him. "sorry", i said as i chuckled. brick held my hands in his to try and warm them up faster. karou walked into the room. her hair was still a mess from being asleep. "why the fuck is it so cold in here! miyako are you hiding penguins in here!?", kaoru demanded. "no", miyako said as she giggled. "calm down kaoru i turned on the heat", i said. "it doesnt feel like it!", kaoru said as she sat down on the couch and pulled a blanket up over her legs. "butch still asleep?", brick asked. "yeah", kaoru said. "so did you guys sleep good?", i asked the young puffs. "yeah that chair is pretty confortable", young kaoru said. "i liked the couch", young me said. "yeah the love seat was nice to", young miyako said. "did you guys sleep good?", i asked miyako and boomer. "yeah", miyako said. "i think i fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow", boomer said. "what about you kaoru? did you sleep good?", i asked. "yes", kaoru said as she blushed and looked away. hmmm i wonder what that was about. "so what time should we break through the wall?", brick asked. "i'm not sure but i know we should before it gets dark", i said. "the sooner the better", butch said as he walked into the room. butch quickly sat down next to kaoru. butch smiled widely at kaoru as he looked at her. kaoru blushed then looked away. "butch..... is that a hickey?", brick asked as he smirked. "what!?", i said as i looked at butch and kaoru. "uh...", butch said. "uhh.. it's a bruise.. i punched him last night", kaoru said. "with what? your lips?", i said as i laughed. butch couldn't help but snicker. "shut up you guys!", kaoru said as her face turned red in embarrassment. the young puffs laughed to. kaoru shot them a death glare. "come on kaoru it's not that bad. i get them some times. you just gotta put make up over them to cover them up", i said. "no way im not putting make up on my neck!", butch hissed. "so let me guess.. you didn't have to sleep on the floor last night huh?", boomer asked. "it was cold! i couldn't let him sleep on the floor!", kaoru said as she crossed her arms. "see i knew she had a heart!", miyako said as she smiled. kaoru rolled her eyes then looked away. "okay any ways now that were all awake maybe we should all go and try to bust through the wall", i said. "i think we should", kaoru said. "well before we leave i need to go fix my hair", miyako said. "yeah me to", i said as i took the blanket off and slid off brick's lap. kaoru quickly ran her fingers through her hair and her hair looked like it normally did. "lucky!", i muttered to kaoru. "ha! perks of having short hair!", kaoru said as she smiled. miyako and i quickly went into the hallway then in to the bathroom. the young puffs followed us except for young kaoru. the four of us went into the bathroom and stopped in front of the mirror. "you know that was nice of you to change the subject.. so every one would stop teasing kaoru and butch", miyako said. "yeah i know.. i just thought maybe if i do them a solid they wont mess with brick and i any more", i said. "don't count on it", miyako said. i opened a drawer on the bathroom counter and pulled out two brushes. i handed one to miyako. miyako took out her two pigtails and began brushing her hair. i quickly ran the brush through my hair. it didn't take me long till my hair was brushed. i handed the brush to young me. miyako handed her brush to young miyako. miyako then quickly put her hair back into her curly pigtails. "ouch!.. some times i hate having long hair...", young me said as she brushed her hair. "need some help?", i asked. young me handed me the brush. young me turned the other way and i started brushing her hair. "you know.. kuriko and i used to do this.. she loved it when i brushed her hair", i said. "how old is kuriko in your time again? i can't remember if you told me", young me asked. "she is 13 now", i said. "wow...", young me said. "how do you get your hair so perfect?", young miyako asked. "it just takes practice", miyako said as she helped young miyako put her hair in curly pigtail the same as miyako's. "i do my hair the same way every day but it doesn't look as good as yours", young miyako said. "over time you'll get better at it", miyako said as she smiled. "so do you and kuriko hang out allot?", young me asked. "uhh well not as much as we did when we were kids... kuriko and i had a falling out for a long time but were cool with each other now. i don't see her often since i live at the lab. but since she and ken are dating now i'll probably see alot more of her", i said. "why did you guys have a falling out?", young me asked. "well she changed.. once she got older she started acting different", i said. "really?", young me asked. "yepp she became a total bitch", i said. " i never would of expected that out of her", young me said. "people change... just like the ruffs.. even though they changed for the better", i said as i finished brushing young me's hair. "you know i always wanted an older sister... but instead i got stuck with a younger sister", young me said. "it's way better being the older sister.. you will see one day", i said as i smiled. "well your all finished", miyako said to young miyako. "let's go bust through a wall", i said as i smiled.

the nine of us hovered in the sky. i pressed my hand up against the invisible wall. "oh yeah there's a wall here", i said. "think we can break it", brick asked. "theres only one way to find out", butch said. we all quickly flew about 50 feet away from the invisible wall. "remember guys don't hold back.. hit it hard but don't hit it head first because you could break your neck", i said. "slam into it with your shoulder", brick said. "what if we break our arms?", boomer asked. "it's better than breaking you neck!", kaoru said. "so i guess this is good bye then?", young me said. "it was nice meeting you all", i said. we all waved good bye to the young puff. "ready?", i asked. "ready", ever one said. the six of us quickly flew as fast as we could. right at the last minute i moved my position so i'd hit the wall with my shoulder. i could feel my body slam into the wall along with my head hitting the wall. pain went through my whole body. my head pounded with pain and i could feel my self falling. unable to do any thing else i closed my eyes.

my eyes fluttered open to see a bright white light coming from the ceiling. i looked to see that i was laying in a hospital bed at the lab. i smiled as i realized where i was. i looked over to see miyako and kaoru laying in beds as well. i tried to move but it hurt to much. "miya!!! kaoru!!", i yelled. miyako slowly moved and opened her eyes. "momoko?", miyako asked. "what the hell are you yelling for i was asleep!", kaoru said as she looked at me. kaoru's eyes went wide as she remembered what happened to us. "wait!! are we home!!?", kaoru asked. "i think so..", i said as i smiled. "oh you three are awake?", a voice asked. i quickly turned my head to see who it was. my heart sank when i seen. it was young me. "son of a bitch! were still in the simulation!", i yelled. "dammit!", kaoru yelled as she covered her face with her hands. "what happened?", miyako asked young me as the other young puffs walked into the room. "well when you guys hit the wall you all fell and was unconscious", young me said. "where are the ruffs?", i asked. suddenly young me's face went pale and she looked sad. "there gone...", young me said. my heart instantly dropped. i could feel my lip start to quiver as my eyes filled with tears. "there dead?", i managed to choke out. "what no! there not dead! i mean when you guys fell we could only catch three of you! the guys fell and after we set you three down we went and looked for them but we couldn't find them", young me said. "you scared the fuck out of me!", kaoru and i yelled at the same time. "so there not dead?", miyako asked. "no there just missing", young miyako said. "lets go find them", i said as i pushed my self out of bed and groaned at the pain. "you shouldn't be out of bed your hurt!", young me said. "no i have to find brick", i said as i could feel tears start to form in my eyes. "your to weak!", young miyako said. "i don't care", i said as i dropped to my knees to weak to stand up. "see", young me said. "i don't care i'll crawl if i have to!", i said as the tears began to fall down my face. "momoko we need to change into puffs we will have more energy that way", kaoru said. i quickly pressed my compact and turned into blossom. i slowly pushed my self to my feet. kaoru was right. i do feel stronger. i looked to see my friends were in there power puff form as well. "let's go find them", i said. "guys you could get hurt", young kaoru said. "so what? it's a risk we have to take!", kaoru said. "you would risk your life to save a ruff?", young kaoru asked. "yes!", kaoru said as i could see tears form in her eyes. young kaoru looked at kaoru in a state of shock. i was actually in shock as well. i don't think i've ever seen kaoru tear up before. "do you think some one kidnapped them?", miyako asked. "who would want the ruffs?", i asked. "himeko?", miyako asked. "i don't think so", kaoru said. "what about the gang green gang?", miyako asked. "lets pay them a visit", i said. "what if they don't have them?", miyako asked. "then we keep searching", i said. "i miss boomer", miyako said as a tear ran down her cheek. "don't worry we will find them", i said as i walked over to miyako and pulled her into a hug. i closed my eyes tight. "brick if you can hear me please tell me where you are... i miss you brick...", i said in my head hoping that brick was transformed and was able to hear me. but every thing was silent. he couldn't hear me.
