Chapter Thirty-Six, Prom?

~Momoko's P.O.V~

It has now been three weeks since the fight with the punks. No one has heard any thing from the punks or the tuffs since the day of the fight. Brick was now feeling better. He was healing very well. We wasn't in pain any more. His bruises was going away fast. Mainly because the professor was adding small doses of chemical z to brick's medicine. Brick was now back in school. He took a week off to rest and heal. I thought he should of waited till he was fully recovered but he was getting bored with doing nothing all day. He was also worried that he wouldn't be able to graduate since the principal told us not to miss any more days but luckily the mayor made his brother excuse Brick's absences. My first day back was tough. People looked at me different knowing I was a former power puff. I felt like every one was staring or gossiping about brick and I. I felt so out of place. Tons of people would walk up to me and try to ask questions about my life. I didn't mind telling them but soon it was like every one wanted to ask questions. Thankfully butch was usually aways around to tell them to go away. I know it was hard for butch and boomer to since every one found out that brick was a rowdy ruff so they knew butch and boomer was a rowdy ruff to since there all brothers. People also knew that kaoru and miyako are power puffs since there dating butch and boomer. When people ask kaoru about it she denies it but no one believes her. Normally I would feel terrible that there identities was known to the world because of me. Normally kaoru would be pissed about them knowing but since it happened while I was saving brick's life she wasn't mad. I was so glad she wasn't mad because I know how much she wanted to keep her identity a secret. Once brick went back to school things got worse with the questions. No one would leave us alone. I could tell brick kinda liked answering every one questions. People would ask about what it was like being a ruff or about why he decided to become a hero. The teenage girls at our school practically swooned over our relationship. They would ask what it was like being a ruff and a puff in love with each other. They would ask brick what was going on in his mind when he decided to push me out of the way and sacrifice his own life. The questions was endless. But after a few days the questions died down and people started to leave us alone. Slowly our lives was falling back into place. I was afraid our lives would never be the same but thankfully things was returning to normal.

"What is this supposed to be?", I asked as I used the plastic fork to poke at the food on my lunch tray. "I don't know.. But it doesn't taste that bad", kaoru said. "Eww why are you eating that!", miyako asked as she crinkled her nose. "Because I'm starving! I haven't eaten since breakfast", kaoru said. "I would never eat food that I don't know what it is", I said. "Your loss", kaoru said as she continued to eat her food. "So did you finish you math homework, momoko?", miyako asked. "Yea. Brick and I worked on it last night", I said. "What answers did you get for number one?", kaoru asked. "Uhh I think 364?", I said. "Alright.. How about 2-10?", kaoru asked. "Kaoru you didn't do your homework?", I asked. "No I was busy", kaoru said. "With butch?", I asked as I wiggled my eyebrow at her. "No!... I was talking with my dad", kaoru said. "About what?", miyako asked. "Butch", kaoru said. "What?!", I gasped. "He already knew we was dating but I felt we should talk it out. I wanted to tell him more about butch", kaoru said. "What did your dad say?", I asked. "He wants to meet butch", kaoru said. "Was he mad that you didn't tell him about butch?", miyako asked. "Yea. That's why I was avoiding talking to him for the passed three weeks. I talked to dai about it and he said it was best to just get it over with", kaoru said. "So when is he going to meet butch?", I asked. "I'm not sure.. Maybe some time soon", kaoru said. "So what does shou think about all this", miyako asked. "He was teasing me non stop.. But then I threatened to use my power puff girl powers to beat him up.. He quit after that", kaoru said as she laughed. "What did your mom think about it?", miyako asked. "She said she has already known about him", kaoru said. "What?! How?!", I asked. "She said she knew I had a boyfriend because I seemed happy and always smiling when I came home or while looking at my phone. So she suspected that I did have a boyfriend but she just didn't know who", kaoru said. "Wow.. I wonder how long she knew?", miyako said. "I have no idea... What about your grandma? She knows about boomer now", kaoru said. "She said she wants to meet him soon but other than that we haven't talked much about it", miyako said. "Hey speaking of the guys.. Where the hell are they? They are never late for lunch and lunch is over in ten minutes", I said. "The Last time I seen any of them. Butch and brick said they needed to get some thing out of there lockers. Boomer wasn't with them so I have no idea where he was", kaoru said. "Boomer left class as soon as the bell rang.. He didn't even wait on me like he usually does", miyako said. "Boomer always walks you to all of your classes. I wonder what's up?", kaoru said. "Maybe he really had to pee?", I said. "Oh shit", kaoru muttered. "What?", I asked. But before kaoru could answer I seen the guys walk in holding there hands behind there backs. All three of them had huge smiles on there faces. "What are they hiding?", I asked. "I know that face! Butch is plotting something", kaoru said. The ruffs walked over to us and pulled out the chairs across from us. They all quickly hopped up on the chairs smiling down at us. "Oh no what are you doing?", kaoru asked. Suddenly the lunch room chatter of the other students quieted down and people started to stare. "Momoko", brick said loudly. "Kaoru", butch said loudly. "Miyako", boomer said loudly. In sync all three guys revealed what they was hiding. "Will you go to prom with me?", brick, butch, and boomer asked all at the same time holding a bouquet of roses and a teddy bear that said "Prom?" On the heart it was holding. Brick was holding at least two dozen red and pink roses in the bouquet he was holding. The bear he had was pink. Butch was holding at least two dozen green and white roses and a green bear. Boomer was holding at least two dozen blue and white roses and a blue bear. My mouth dropped and a smile quickly spread across my face. "Yes!", I said as I blushed uncontrollably. "Yes!", miyako said. "Oh all right... Do I have to wear a dress?", kaoru said as she smiled at butch. All three guys hopped down from the chairs. What they did next surprised me. They all leaned over the table. Brick leaned down to me and pressed his lips to mine kissing me softly. I'm pretty sure butch and boomer did the same thing. I wasn't for sure since I had my eyes closed but they most likely did. Suddenly I could hear a roar of clapping and whistling at us. I placed my hand on the side of brick's face as I kissed him back. Brick pulled his lips away from mine but our foreheads was will touching. We were both staring into each others eyes. "Thanks love", brick said then pulled away. Now I was blushing even more. I looked over at kaoru and miyako and they was both blushing to. "Here these are for you", brick said as he handed me the flowers and the bear. "Thank you brick. These are beautiful", I said as I smiled at him. I smelled the roses then smiled again at brick. Brick smiled back at me as sat down on the chair across from me and scooted up to the table. "Do I really have to carry all this stuff around for the rest of the day?", kaoru asked as butch and boomer sat down to. "Yes!", butch said as he rolled his eyes and smiled at kaoru. "Where did you guys even find these colors of roses?", miyako asked. "It wasn't easy... We went to three different flower shops to find blue and green roses", boomer said. "You guys went through all that trouble just to get flowers?!", kaoru asked. "Not just any flowers! Your flowers! I can't just get any flowers for my special girl! They have to be her favorite color!", butch said. Kaoru's face turned pink with embarrassment hearing what butch said. "Aww!", miyako cooed. "So what was up with the whole standing on the chairs and making every one stare thing?", kaoru asked. "Well we wanted to ask all three of you together and I know you.. You don't like going to dances so if I asked you in private you would of told me no and you would of said dances are stupid.. So I knew if I asked you in front of a bunch of people you wouldn't say no because it would make you look like a jerk", butch said. "So you played me?", kaoru asked. "No!", butch said. "Yes you did! How could you do that to me!?", kaoru said. "Okay maybe I did play you but I'm --", butch started to say. "Relax! I'm just screwing with you!", kaoru said as she smirked at butch. Butch smirked back at kaoru. "Did I make you nervous?", kaoru asked. "No I thought you was gonna be mad at me", butch said. "Well I'm not to happy that I have to go to prom but I'm actually quite surprised that you thought ahead like that", kaoru said. "Aw come on kaoru it's prom. It's ever girls dream to go to prom", I said. "Well it's not mine", kaoru said. "Your weird.. What girl doesn't want to go to prom?", brick said as he smirked. "At least I'm not a nerd", kaoru said as she smirked. "Hey! I prefer the term sexy gaming nerd! Get it right", brick said. "Ohh jeez", butch said as he chuckled. "Momoko agrees with me!", brick said as he winked at me. "I agree", I said as I smiled and blushed. "See", brick said as he smirked. "She is only agreeing with you because your her boyfriend!", butch said. "So?", brick said. "So that means she is biased", butch said. "Im not a biased?!", I said. "A biased? Momoko do you even know what biased means?", boomer asked. "Err.. Well uh no", I said. "Biased means your unfairly prejudiced for or against someone or something. So in your case your always going to agree with brick because he is your boyfriend", miyako said. "Okay.. Maybe I am biased for brick but we don't always agree on the same thing", I said. "I can't believe you didn't know what biased meant", kaoru said. "I'm not that smart guys", I said. "No, baby don't say that you are smart", brick said. "Okay so then I'm not very good at knowing big words", I said. "Biased is not a big word", boomer said. "It's big to me!", I said. "You better study if you want to pass the end of the year English exam", miyako said. "Brick has been helping me study", I said. "And what have you learned?", butch asked. Oh great. I can't remember any thing that I've learned. "Uhh.. I've learned that studying helps you learn", I said. "Oh yeah... Your definitely going to pass all of your exams", kaoru said sarcastically. "Have you been studying?", brick asked challenging kaoru. "I don't need to study. I know enough", kaoru said. "Yeah right", brick said. "Maybe we should all get together and study", boomer said. "Yeah it could help us all out", miyako said. "Do you guys ever notice that we do every thing together?", brick asked. "That's because we're close friends", miyako said. "It's better than hating each other", boomer said. "Yeah yeah I know", butch said. Suddenly the bell rang signaling it was time to go to our next class. "Ugh I don't wanna go to class", butch said as he watched people leave the room. "Me either.... I wish the city needed help", kaoru said. "Yeah it would be better than being here", butch said as he looked back to kaoru. "The school day will be over soon enough", miyako said. "And graduation is right around the corner... Less than two weeks away", boomer said. "Are you serious?!", kaoru asked as she smiled. "I'm as serious as a heart attack", boomer said. "Jeez... When is prom?", butch asked. "This Saturday night", I said. "We should go dress shopping tomorrow!", miyako said as she smiled. "Oh no...", kaoru muttered. "It will be fun!", miyako said as she looked at kaoru. "I hate dresses..", kaoru muttered. "C'mon kaoru you can't wear jeans to prom", miyako said. "I know...", kaoru grumbled. "Do we have to go with you guys?", butch asked. "No way it's bad luck for the guy to see the dress", miyako said. "I thought that only Applied to wedding dresses?", I said. "Who knows but do you wanna risk getting any more bad luck?", miyako asked. "Nope. Brick and I combined have enough bad luck so I'm not gonna risk it", I said. "Us guys could go shopping for tuxes while you girls are dress shopping", brick said. "Sounds like a plan", butch said. "We should talk about this later", boomer said. "Why?", butch asked. "Because we're going to be late for class duh", boomer said. "Oh yeah.. I totally forgot the bell had rang", brick said. "We should go before we're late", miyako said as she stood up and picked up her bag and slung it onto her back. The rest of us quickly stood up and did the same. I picked up my roses and my bear. I smiled as I looked at them. It really was sweet of brick and his brothers to do this for us. "C'mon", brick said as he smiled at me and put his arm around my waist.
