Chapter Eighteen, Kaoru's Birthday

~Kaoru's P.O.V~

"get off me butch", i said as i tried pushing butch off me. "nope", butch said with a chuckle. "how did you even talk me into coming into your room anyway?", i joked. "with my charming good looks duh", butch said as he smiled down at me. we were laying on butch's bed in butch's room. butch laid on top on me smiling down at me. i'd never admit it but i really didn't want him to get up. i wanted to stay like this forever. "ah shut up", i said. butch slowly leaned down and pressed his lips to mine kissing me softly. our lips moved in sync as i ran my fingers threw butch's hair. our kiss started to get more intense, more passionate, filled with love. i didn't want this kiss to end. butch stopped kissing me but left a trail of kisses down my neck. butch kissed my neck softly. i started feeling hot and breathless. whats happening to me? i'v never felt this way before. "butch", i moaned softly. ah shit did i just moan? oh no butch is never going to let me live this down. "hmm that was sexy", butch murmured against my neck. "shut up", i said as i smiled. "will do", butch said as he chuckled then kissed my lips again then pulled away and pushed himself off me. wait no what is he doing? i wasn't done kissing him yet. "uh watcha doin?", i asked as butch got off his bed. "getting some thing", butch said as he smiled. i sat up and hugged my knees to my chest. butch walked over to his closet and opened the door. "close your eyes and don't peek", butch said. "fine", i said as i closed my eyes and laid my head down on my knees. butch was quiet for a few seconds. i could feel him sit down on the bed. "alright open your eyes", butch said softly. i slowly lifted my head and opened my eyes to see a skateboard with green wheels and green grip tape on it with a green bow wrapped around it. "happy birthday kaoru", butch said softly. "cool a new skateboard", i said as i smiled as butch handed it to me. "flip it over", butch said as he rolled his eyes then smiled. i flipped the skateboard over then gasped as i seen the graphic picture. the picture was of us. it was of butch standing next to me with his arm around my shoulders holding me close to him. scripted in beautiful writing said "Skater Girl, I Will Always Be Your Skater Boy". "its us", i murmured as i smiled. "like it?", butch asked. "are you kidding me i freaking love it", i said as i smiled. i quickly pushed the skateboard out of the way and hugged butch. butch wrapped his arms around me and held me tight. "i know i don't say this allot but i do love you butch", i said softly. "i love you and your attitude. some times it gets on my nerves but i kind of find it attractive", butch said as he let me go then smiled. "ah shut up", i said as i lightly punched butch in the arm. butch laughed as he leaned forward. our lips was just about to touch again when suddenly there was a knock at the door that made us both jump. "shit", butch muttered angrily. i chuckles as i leaned forward and gave butch a quick kiss on the lips. i quickly got off the bed then walked over to the door and opened it. momoko and brick stood outside the door. miyako and boomer stood behind them. "ah shit kaoru i didn't know you was in there. is this a bad time?", brick said. "no, no it's fine", i said as i looked at them. "well we was actually looking for butch", brick said. "what is it?", butch asked sternly as he walked over to the door next to me. "we wanted to let you know that the thing is done", momoko said as she looked at butch. "what thing?", i asked. "nothing", butch said. i scowled at butch wondering what it was that he didn't want me to know. "give us a few okay?", butch said. momoko nodded her head walked away pulling brick with her by his hand. brick smiled as he let her pull him. i rolled my eyes and smiled at them as i closed the door. "there like love sick puppies", i said with a chuckle. "who?", butch asked. "brick and momoko", i said. "you got that right", butch said with a chuckle. "they just follow each other around like love sick puppies. i mean i don't think they go any where with out each other", i said. "no momoko was gone for a few hours the other day. she wouldn't tell brick where she was", butch said. "i wonder what she was doing? that's not like her at all?", i said. "who knows?", butch said as he shrugged his shoulder. "i bet brick was lost with out her", i said. "he was. you should of seen him. he was bored out of his mind. i watched him build a tower out of straws the whole time she was gone", butch said with a small chuckle. "now i'm curious. i wonder what she was doing?", i said. "i don't know. when she came home she was smiling none stop and she was really happy about some thing", butch said. "i wonder why she was so happy?", i asked. "she did mention she ran into an old friend but she didn't say to much about him", butch said. "oh maybe i know them? do you know if she said his name?", i asked. "uh i think she said akihiro or some thing like that", butch said. i gasped and my eyes went wide at the name. "what?", butch asked. "akihiro was momoko's first crush!", i said. "huh?", butch said confused. "she knew him all her life. before she became a puff they was best friends. she even asked him out but he said no", i said. "do you think she still has feelings for him?", butch asked. "i don't know. probably not since she is so in love with brick", i said. "then i wonder why she wouldn't tell brick where she was?. i know it may seem like i don't care about my brother's feeling because i do pick on them allot but if momoko still had feelings for that guy and if brick knew he would be totally crushed", butch said. "what are you saying? you think momoko would cheat on him?", i asked as i raised my eyebrow at him. "i don't know", butch said. "well i know my friend and she would never do that. she has finally found love and i know she wouldn't risk losing that", i said. "i just don't want brick to get hurt. when we went camping brick really opened up to me and told me allot of personal things. he really cares about momoko. he even told me that he wanted to marry her and be the father of her kids. and if she would sneak around behind brick's back with that akihiro guy i couldn't sit back and watch it", butch said. "well his birthday is coming up maybe she was just birthday shopping?", i said. "yeah i guess that could be what she was doing", butch said. wow i never thought butch cared that much about brick since he always picked on him. maybe my bad boy has a soft side. butch pulled a bandanna out of his pocket and took a step towards me. "speaking of birthday presents", butch said as he grabbed me and tried to put the bandanna around my head so i couldn't see. "hey", i said as i tried to pull away. "damn it kaoru stop moving", butch said. "ow you pulled my hair", i said sternly. "well it wouldn't of happened if you wouldn't of moved!", butch said. i went to push butch away but he caught my hands and held them tight so i couldn't move them. "stop", butch said as he leaned in and gave me a quick kiss on the lips. "fine", i said as i gave in and let butch put the bandanna around my head. "so feisty", butch said with a small chuckle. butch grabbed my hand and started walking leading me to where ever it was we were going. after a few minutes of walking in silence i said, "butch i swear if you run me into a wall i'm gonna punch you so hard". "don't worry were almost there", butch said. "i hope so because i really hate not seeing where i'm going. i feel vulnerable when i cant see", i said. "relax. its not like i'd let any thing happen to you", butch said. i smiled at what butch said. truth is, i wouldn't let any thing happen to him either. i would do any thing to protect that idiot. my idiot. "ready?", butch asked as we stopped walking. "yeah", i said as i could hear a door close. butch pulled off the bandanna revealing that we was on the roof top of the lab. it looked exactly like the party we set up for momoko except now every thing was green instead of pink. the lights shined beautifully in the night sky as the music played softly. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAORU!", all of my friends yelled. "thanks guys", i said as i smiled. momoko walked over to me holding a green cup. "drink up buddy it's your turn to have a hangover", momoko said as she smiled. "we will see about that", i said as i smiled and took the drink and took a few sips. "just promise me you wont end up in my bathtub again?", brick said with a smile. "no promises man", butch said with a smile. "i guess that means i will be locking my door", boomer said with a smile. "were ever i end up sleeping tonight i hope its next to kaoru", butch said as he smirked at me. "aw shut up. lets play some beer pong", i said as i lightly elbowed butch in the side. "we already have it set up", brick said as we walked over to the table were the game was set up. "greens against reds?", butch asked. "sure winner takes the blues", momoko said. "yepp", i said. momoko and brick stood at the other side of the table and tossed us the balls. "alright birthday girl your first", brick said. i handed one ball to butch and bounced one off the table and into a cup. butch bounced the ball of the table and into a cup. "drink!", butch said. momoko and brick picked up the cups and quickly began drinking. after they finished drinking they dropped the cups to the ground. they picked up the balls and easily bounced them into our cups. butch and i quickly began drinking. after a few minutes we was each down to one cup. "alright we got this", butch said as he rubbed his hands together. butch and i tossed the balls at the same time. they both hit the rim of the reds cup but they bounced off. "shit", butch said. momoko and brick grabbed the balls and brick threw his first but missed the cup. "damn", brick said as he snapped his fingers. "looks like its up to you momoko", miyako said. "come on baby you got this", brick said. "i'll try", momoko said as she smiled softly at brick. "wait!", butch said as he waved his arms. "what?", momoko asked. "lets make a bet on who will win", butch said. "a bet?", brick asked. "you wanna bet money?", i asked. "we can bet any thing. brick could even bet his hat or even momoko", butch joked. "alright then i bet if momoko wins you have to make me food when ever i want it", brick said. "alright and if kaoru wins you have to do all of my dishes when i make food", butch said. "deal", brick said as he nodded his head. "so no pressure momoko", boomer joked. momoko look a deep breath then tossed the ball straight into the cup. "yeah that's my girl!", brick yelled as he hugged momoko lifting her up off the ground and spun her around. momoko giggled as he set her back down and kissed her forehead. "well damn i really thought we was going to win", butch said as he rubbed the back of his head. "looks like you will be making momoko and i's breakfast tomorrow", brick said. "well looks like its toaster waffles for you two", butch said as he laughed. butch and i stepped aside so the blues could play. since butch and i lost we had to reset the game. after we set up the cups and refilled them we stepped aside so the game could start. "alright blues actually try to win", brick said with a smirk. "oh we will", boomer said competitively as he tossed the first ball but missed all the cups. "maybe not", butch said as he laughed. "so how did your party go with your family earlier. i remember you said they was having a small birthday party for you", momoko said as miyako tossed a ball missing the cups. "okay i guess. my mom cried allot though", i said. "why?", momoko asked as she tossed a ball into one of the blue's cups. "because it was my 18th birthday. i guess they realized in not a kid any more and i can do as i please now", i said. "i bet your dad was pretty upset to", momoko said. "who knows. i cant tell what his facial expressions are with that mask on all the time", i said. "i would get tired of having something on my face all the time", momoko said. "you don't seem to have a problem with brick's face on your face all the time", butch joked referring to them always kissing. "shut up butch", momoko said as she blushed looking down at her feet. "yeah butch knock it off", brick said as he put his arm around momoko's waist. i chuckled as i lightly elbowed butch in the arm. "i was only saying the truth. well speaking of the truth. where were you the other day? you know when you was gone so long", butch said. momoko's whole body went stiff. the question took her by surprise making her miss all the cups as she threw the ball. she quickly turned to butch and looked at him with a "deer in headlights" look. "what do you mean?", momoko asked. "well you was gone for awhile and wouldn't tell brick where you were", butch said. "i cant tell you guys where i was", momoko said. "and why not?", butch asked. "because i just cant", momoko said. "what about that guy akihiro?", butch asked. "why? what about him?", momoko asked confused. "i heard you two have some history", butch said. "butch no", i said sternly. "history? we have known each other all our lives of course we have history", momoko said. "i know all about him and i know what you were doing!", butch said. momoko had a look of worry on her face. "butch what are you talking about?", brick asked as he had a look of confusion on his face. " i know you two had a thing back then but i'm not going to stand by and let you sneak around with that guy behind brick's back", butch said sternly. momoko's reaction shocked me. she started laughing so hard she was crying. after a few seconds she composed herself and wiped a tear from her eye. "why are you laughing!?", butch asked sternly. "whats going on momoko?", brick asked. "you think i'm cheating on brick!? butch your such an idiot i'd never do that. you scared me so bad. i thought you found out my secret", momoko said. "secret?", i asked. "i cant tell you what it is yet but all i'm going to say is it has some thing to do with a birthday", momoko said. "so wait your not cheating on brick?", butch asked. "fuck no. why the hell would i ever want to do that. he is the love of my life and i promise every thing will make sense in a few days", momoko said as she smiled at brick. "wow butch you actually cared enough to confront her about it", boomer said. "yeah that's unlike you. that's kinda sweet", miyako said. "shut up i just didn't want to hear brick cry about it later", butch said as he crossed his arms. "maybe our talk really did mean some thing to you", brick said as he smiled. "just shut up", butch said. "so what history do you have with that guy any way?", brick asked. "i did have a crush on him growing up. i even asked him out once but he said no. i was young i don't even think i was 13 yet", momoko said. "you don't have feelings for him now right?", brick asked. "no way. your my one and only. you have my heart brick", momoko said softly. brick smiled softly at momoko as he leaned down and kissed her forehead. "we should get back to the game", momoko said softly. "yeah", brick said as he turned back to the table. after a few minutes the game was over. momoko and brick had won again. miyako and boomer did do pretty good on this game. they got brick and momoko down to three cups before they lost. "come on", butch said as he took my hand and pulled me away. "where are we going?", i asked. butch didn't answer me. he led me over to the edge of the roof. we looked down and could see the beautiful view of new townsville. "so are you enjoying your birthday?", butch asked. "yeah its perfect even though you almost started a fight between brick and momoko", i said. "i just didn't want brick to get hurt. you would of done the same thing if it was the other way around", butch said. "yeah i would of. i would do any thing to protect my friends", i said. "we all would", butch said. "yeah your right", i said softly remembering when momoko almost died trying to protect us all from berserk. butch put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him. normally i'd just shrug it off but i didn't. "butch?", i asked softly. "yeah?", butch said. "do you think the punks will ever leave us alone?", i asked. "i don't know. i really hope they will just give up and just let us be happy", butch said. "i wish they would just give up. there really starting to go to far with all this", i said. "don't worry we will put an end to them eventually", butch said with a smile. "i hope its soon", i said. "i want to put an end to the tuffs to", butch said. "yeah they are pretty annoying. but at least they haven't done any harm to the city", i said. "i just don't understand them", butch said. "what do you mean?", i asked. "well mojo created them to destroy you guys. but yet they all have crushes on you guys. i don't under stand how or what there going to do", butch said. "who knows?", i said. "kaoru i don't want any thing to ever come between us", butch said softly. "and that's exactly what the punks are trying to do and i wont let that happen", i said. "i will do any thing to stop them but i just don't know how", butch said. "there obsessed i don't think there is a way besides a mental hospital", i said as i smiled. "i'd feel so bad for there doctors", butch said as he smiled back at me. butch pulled me into a hug and looked down into my eyes. i looked into his forest green eyes and smiled. his facial expression was soft and caring. butch leaned down pressing his lips on mine kissing me softly. our lips moved in sync. i could feel my heart start beating faster. every time he kissed me i felt this way. after a few minutes butch pulled away and smiled down at me. i could feel myself blush as i smiled to. "we should get back to the party with the others", i said. "yeah", butch said as he smiled and let me go. we walked hand in hand back to our friends.

i woke up blinking my eyes trying to gain focus. i sat up and noticed i was in butch's bed but butch wasn't there. if i'm here then where is butch? i started to get out of bed but i noticed butch was asleep on the floor. i quickly got out of bed and knelled down next to butch. "hey butch", i said as i shook him. "hmmmm", butch hummed. butch slowly lifted his head up and looked at me. he quickly sat up and rubbed the back of his head. "how did i end up down here?", butch asked. "i don't even know how i ended up in your room", i said. butch and i quickly stood up. "do you think the others are up yet?", butch asked. "i don't know but i'm gonna go to my room and brush my teeth before i do any thing", i said. "ill meet you down in the kitchen?", butch said as he walked into his bathroom. "sure", i said as i walked over and opened the door. i walked out into the hallway and closed butch's door. i looked down the hall and seen brick and momoko lying on the floor asleep. they both laid face down but they were still holding hands. i walked back into butch's room. "butch come here", i called. "hang on", butch called. after about a minute or so butch walked out. "sorry i had to finish brushing my teeth", butch said. "come here i have to show you some thing", i said. "what?", butch asked. i motioned for butch to follow me. we both stepped out into the hall and butch could see momoko and brick lying on the floor. "do you have a marker?", i asked as i smirked. "i sure do", butch said as he smirked. butch walked into his room and came out with a black marker. we both walked over to brick and momoko. "i have an idea", i said as i reached down and took momoko's bow out of her hair then i took off brick's hat. i put the hat on momoko's head and the bow in brick's hair. butch laughed as he bent down and moved brick's head so he could draw on his face. butch drew a handle bar mustache on brick's face. then butch wrote "i'm and idiot" on brick's face. i quickly took a picture of them so i could show them later but then brick slowly started to move. i quickly grabbed butch's arm and we both ran down the hall in to my room. i quickly closed the door behind us. butch and i were laughing at what we had done. once we both composed ourselves i said,"they just barely made it out of the elevator last night". "at least they didn't end up in my bathtub", butch joked. "but yet they still managed to hold hands all night", i said. "there even love sick puppies in there sleep", butch joked. "i love the fact that we both love messing our friends", i said. "its what makes life fun", butch said as he smiled. "your right", i said as i smiled to.
