Chapter Thirty, Back to school

~Momoko's P.O.V~

"uh i think you have to mix the dry ingredients first", i said as i motioned to the flour. brick and i are in our culinary arts class. this is the only class we have without our friends. "are you sure because those guys over there just put an egg in there bowl?", brick said. "i think we need two bowls?", i said. "how are we supposed to own our own bakery one day if we don't know how to make this shit?", brick asked. "i don't know... i usually just follow the instructions on the box or my mom's recipes", i said. "i wish the teacher would of given us a recipe", brick said. "should we just wing it?", i asked. "ill look up a recipe on my phone!", brick said as he smiled. "what if we get caught?", i asked. "what's the worst that could happen?", brick asked as he smiled mischievously at me. "alright ill keep watch", i said as i peeked around brick at our teacher who was on the phone. i looked back down to brick's phone as he was typing on google for a recipe. "brick jojo", the teacher called. brick quickly put his phone in his pocket and turned around. "yes?", brick asked. "the principal would like to see you in his office", the teacher said. "uhh okay?", brick said as he turned back to me. "what the hell did you do?", i asked. "hell if i know", brick said as he shrugged. "go", the teacher said as she pointed to the door. "see you later love", brick said as he leaned down kissing my forehead then walked away and out of the room. i could feel my face heat up after brick kissed me. i quickly turned back to the ingredients that we were supposed to be making a cake out of. "so what is your boyfriend in trouble for?", a males voice asked. i looked up to see katsu. he was a tall guy with blue eyes and light brown hair. he plays basketball for our school. i think i have a few other classes with him but we don't talk much. "we don't know", i said. "so are the rumors true?", katsu asked. "rumors?", i asked. "well there is a few... one is that you died which is obviously not true since your here", katsu said. "what are the other rumors?", i asked. "well mostly the others was did they drop out of school? did they all move? did momoko and brick run off and get married--", katsu said. "whoa no.. were we're sick for a few days!", i said. "all six of you?", katsu asked. "yes!", i said. "there was another rumor to... but i guess thats not true either", katsu said. "what was it?", i asked. "it was that brick broke up with you and skipped town so he didn't have to see you. and that you was to heart broken to leave your room.. same rumor was going around about kaoru, butch, boomer and miyako", katsu said. "that one is definitely not true! who started that one?", i asked. "i heard it from himeko", katsu said. "i should of known", i said. "momoko akatsutsumi", the teacher called. i quickly turned to see her hanging up her phone. "the principal would like to see you", the teacher said. i nodded my head as i turned around. "so what did you do?", katsu asked. "i don't know?", i said. "get caught making about with brick in the school parking lot?", katsu asked and he smirked. "aren't you supposed to be baking a cake?", i asked as i grabbed my bag and slung it onto my back. "its already in the oven", katsu said. "really? i thought you said you were only taking this class for a credit to graduate", i asked. "yeah i lied about it..im a closet baker.. i know all this stuff. if the guys on the basketball team knew they would crack jokes about it", katsu said as he smiled. "i never would of pegged you as a baker", i said as i picked up brick's bag since he left it in the class room. "it was good talking to you", katsu said as he waved good bye as he walked away. "you to", i said then quickly walked out of the room. i quickly walked down the empty hallways. i looked around and the place was totally deserted. no people were out. papers was scattered all over the floor. i walked in silence until i reached the office. i opened the door and walked in. the secretary smiled at me and pointed to the principal's office. i slowly walked over to the principal's office and stood in front of the door. i took a deep breath and opened the door. the principal was sitting at his desk. he was a short man who was bald but he did have a mustache. "please sit miss.akatsutsumi", principal said as he pointed to a chair. i looked over to the chair and surprising i seen boomer, miyako,kaoru,butch and brick. i handed brick his bag the i quickly took off my bag and sat down. "now that every one is here we need to talk", principal said. what are all of us doing here? are we all in trouble? "you six have missed quite a bit of school this year.. and on the school record it says you missed the past few days as well", principal said. "we were sick", i said. "all six of you?", principal asked. "yeah..", kaoru said. "what a coincidence that all 6 of you were sick and out of school the same days", principal said. "its the truth..", butch said. "do you have doctors notes?", principal asked. "no", brick said. "so then you have no proof?", principal asked. we all shook our heads no. "i thought so... do you know how important school is? i suggest you stop skipping", principal said,"now as you know prom is coming up soon." prom!? i totally forgot about prom! "to make up for you missing so much school i want the six of you to come in an hour early to help make decorations for prom", principal said. "eeeeee!", miyako squealed in delight. "punishment is not supposed to be fun miss. gotokuji! i can switch you from prom decoration to helping the janitor!", principal said sternly. "i hate decorating i just love waking up early and coming to school!", miyako lied. "good", principal said as he nodded his head,"you may go back to class now". we all nodded our heads and quickly stood up as we grabbed our bags off the floor and walked out of the room. i quickly slung my bag onto my back as we walked out of the main office and into the hallway. "well damn...", kaoru muttered. "this is the best thing ever!", miyako squealed. boomer chuckled and he put his arm around her waist pulling her close to him. i smiled at them. there talk last night must of cleared things up between them. "no this is terrible!", kaoru said. "why?", butch asked. "i hate decorating!", kaoru said as she crossed her arms. "im just mad that i have to spend and extra hour in this place", butch said. "at least decorating is better than cleaning toilets", i said. "you got that right", brick said. "i don't see why the mayor cant tell his brother( the principal) about us so that way we could be excused from school when we needed to be", kaoru said. "i don't know", i said as i shrugged. "at least this school year is almost over", brick said. "jeez... this year has gone by so fast", i said. "tell me about it", boomer said. "I'm going to miss this place", miyako said. "Pfft I'm not", I said. "Right. I'm so eager to get out of this place", brick said as we turned a corner. "Hey babe", a voice said. I quickly looked to see bruise leaning up against the lockers with a cigarette in his hand. I instantly frowned as I seen him. "Don't call her that!", brick said angrily as he shot bruise a dirty look. "What do you want bruise", I asked angrily. "Awe why so mad guys? Did I ruin your day?", bruise asked. "You know the school has surveillance cameras right?", miyako asked as she pointed to a camera down the hall. "Do you think I give a shit?", bruise asked. "Hey don't talk to her like that!", boomer said angrily. "Shut up", bruise said as he looked at boomer. "Hey!", brick said angrily. "Shut up lover boy", bruise said as he looked at brick. Bruise flicked his cigarette on the ground and then stepped on it. "So you smoke now?", kaoru asked. "Might as well", bruise said. "You know that's gonna start a bad habit", butch said. "Like I care", bruise said. Suddenly the bell rang signaling for the classes to let out. Class room doors came open and the hallways began to fill with students. "Look I just wanted to see what was going on with you guys. We haven't seen you around in a few days", bruise said. "Why do you want to no?, butch asked. "Well for one how are are we supposed to defeat you guys if your missing and secondly I missed my girl", bruise said as he winked and smirked at me. "Oh please", I muttered as I rolled my eyes. "Do you seriously want hit? Because ill fucking hit you", brick said angrily. "So then hit me", bruise said as he narrowed his eyes at brick. "Brick...", butch said sternly. "What?", brick asked as he looked back at butch. "Not here", butch said. "As much as I hate to agree butch is right", kaoru said. "We're already in trouble for missing school so lets not start fighting", butch said. "To chicken shit?", bruise asked. "I'm not going to waste any more of my time with you. We need to get to class", brick said. "Momoko when ever you decide you want a real man. You know where to find me", bruise said as he smirked. "Come on", brick said as he grabbed my hand and began walking. "Prick!", I said to bruise as we passed him. I could feel a hand on my back that kept pushing me forward. It was kaoru. "Keep going", kaoru said sternly. We all stayed silent until we got to class. We walked into the room to see the teacher at his desk and the room was half full with students. "Hey trouble maker", katsu said as he smiled at me. Katsu must of seen that I looked irritable so he looked uncomfortable. "I'm sorry katsu we're really not in the mood to talk right now", I said as I gave an apologetic look to katsu. " hey no worries", katsu said as he smiled. I waved good bye as brick began walking again pulling me along with him. I quickly sat down in my seat behind sakamoto. Brick sat down next to me in his seat and our friends sat down in there seats. "I'm proud of you", I said as I smiled at brick. "For what?", brick asked. "For not punching bruise in the face... I know you wanted to", I said. " I just didn't want to get us in any more trouble", Brick said. "Well at least our punishment is together", I said as i smiled lightly. "If I had to do prom decorations with out you... It would be a disaster", brick said as he smiled. the bell rang signaling class was starting. the teacher began to talk so i kept looking forward to pay attention to what he was saying. "So as many of you seniors know.. Graduation is coming up", mr. ryan said. a few of the senior jocks whooped and the teacher used his hand to motion for them to quiet down. "these last few weeks of school we are going to go over what we have learned this year so you can pass your end of the school year exams", Mr. Ryan said. uhg i for got about exams. "so i think we should look over the study of plants first", mr. ryan said. mr. ryan started to draw diagrams on the board. suddenly some thing landed in front of me making me jump. i looked down to see it was a folded up piece of paper. i looked over at brick who was looking forward pretending to pay attention. i unfolded the paper to see brick's hand writing. "this is dumb.. i wasn't even here to learn this shit", brick wrote. "this was at the very beginning of the year. i can teach you if you like", i wrote then tossed it back to brick. after a few seconds brick handed me the note. i opened the note to see what brick said. "i think i will need help", brick wrote. "maybe we should have a study date? we can study tonight at home", i wrote then handed it back to brick. after a few seconds brick handed me the note. "maybe we should study at the library or in public", brick wrote. "why?", i wrote then handed it back to brick. after a few seconds brick handed me back the note. "because you know what happens when we're alone in a room together ;) ... we wouldn't be able to focus on the work", brick wrote. "i guess your right.. the study session would turn into a make out session", i wrote then quickly started to hand the note to brick when mr.ryan said,"mr. Jojo". oh no he caught us passing notes! "butch are you passing notes in my class?", mr. ryan asked. Butch!? i thought brick and i had gotten caught. "uh yes sir.. sorry", butch said. "now every one knows the rules in my class. if your caught with a note you must read it out loud", mr. ryan said. "please i'd rather not", butch said. "its either that or go to the principals office", mr. ryan said. i casually put my hand over my mouth to keep from laughing. i peeked over to brick to see he was fighting back a laugh as well. i wonder what him and kaoru were talking about. "now stand up and and state who you were passing notes with", mr. ryan said. butch reluctantly stood up and mouthed the word sorry to kaoru. "i was passing notes with kaoru", butch said. "now read the note", mr. ryan said. butch cleared his throat as he unfolded the note. "(butch) look at the love birds over there passing notes. (kaoru) yeah i seen that lol. brick and momoko are probably talking about prom or making out.", butch said. my mouth dropped and my face instantly turned red. a bunch of people turned and stared at me. i quickly closed my mouth and looked at brick who was also red with embarrassment. "(butch) i bet there talking about making out. (kaoru) yeah thats all they every do... idiots. (butch) yeah your right.. they are idiots. (kaoru) i like seeing how angry they get when we tease them about it. (butch) they make it so easy! we catch them making out all the time.. id like to tease boomer about it but him and miyako are so secretive about it that we never catch them!. (kaoru) I'm glad brick don't try to tease us about the time they caught us kissing on the island. (butch) thats because brick knows id punch him in his face. (kaoru) one day brick is going to haul off and hit you in the face for teasing them. (butch) who cares?", butch said as he folded the note. "is that all?", mr. ryan asked. butch nodded his head and sat down. i looked over to see that miyako and boomer's face was red from kaoru and butch's note. "miss. akatsutsumi or mr. jojo please stand up and read your note", mr. ryan said. oh fuck i have the note! i slowly stood up and unfolded our note. "i told you thats what they were talking about!", kaoru said to butch as she laughed. "now please go throw your notes away", mr. ryan said as he crossed his arms. i slowly stood up then quickly walked to the front of the room to the trash can. i dropped the note in the trash and turned to see butch smirking at me. "this was all your fault!", i whispered. "i know I'm sorry. i didn't mean to drag you and brick into it", butch whispered. "so you think were idiots?", i whispered. "don't get worked up about it! i think you guys are idiots in a good way!", butch whispered. "there is a good way of being an idiot?", i whispered. "yes!", butch whispered as he turned and walked away. i walked away from the trash can and then walked down the row of desks. every one was smirking at me. i ignored them and kept walking till i was back at my seat. i looked over at brick who was looking down at his desk embarrassed. "okay now that is all taken care of.. lets get back to our lesson. if there are any more interruptions from you four i will have to send you to the principals office is that clear?", mr ryan asked as he looked at kaoru and butch. kaoru and butch both nodded there heads yes. mr.ryan looked over at me and i nodded also. since brick was looking down he didn't notice mr. ryan looking at him. "am i clear brick?", mr. ryan asked sternly. "crystal", brick said as he looked up. "good", mr. ryan said as he turned back to the board. mr. ryan started to talk about plant life and there cycles. this time brick and i didn't pass notes. we kept looking forward at the board. i wrote down notes from what mr.ryan was explaining so brick and i would have some thing to go over when we study. after a while the bell rang and every one got up. i stood up and grabbed my bag off the floor and slung it onto my back. "good show guys", a guy said as he walked out of the room. "yeah i enjoy class interruptions that don't involve me", a girl said as she picked up her bag. "yeah it was pretty funny", sakamoto said as he smiled. brick and i ignored them and walked out of the room together. miyako and boomer followed us out. kaoru and butch were already waiting for us outside the room. we all quickly began walking to our next class which was lunch. " i seriously can't believe that happened to us!", kaoru said as she laughed. " well i don't know about you guys but i was embarrassed!", i said. "me to!", butch said. "if you two are going to pass notes about us you need to be more secretive", brick said. "are you guys mad at us?", butch asked. " i was.. but not any more.. its kind of funny looking back on it now but I'm still embarrassed!", i said. "and for the record.. I'm not afraid to punch you in the face butch", brick said. "alright alright", butch said as he smiled. "I'm just ready for lunch", kaoru said. "me to", boomer said. "yeah I'm starving!", butch said.
