Chapter Forty-Two, Last day of school

~Momoko's P.O.V~

Come on clock! Hurry up! I watched the seconds hand slowly tick by impatiently. "You know staring at the clock won't make time go by faster right?", kaoru asked. "I know..", I said as I looked away from the clock. Right now we are in our last class of the day. This is our last day of school and we only have five minutes until the bell rings signaling school is done for the day. "I'm just so excited!", I said as I looked at all my friends. "Every one is", brick said as he sat down on my desk. "You know you're not supposed to sit on the desks right?", boomer said. "What is the teacher going to do? Give me a detention?", brick asked as he smiled. "Bricks right. There's not much the teachers can do now", butch said. "Just don't do any thing stupid at the graduation ceremony to get your diploma taken away", I said. "No worries. I won't do any thing stupid", brick said as he patted my head with his hand. I smiled as I shooed away his hand. "I swear brick if you mess up my hair--", I started to say. "What are you going to do?", brick asked as he smirked. "I'll push you off my desk", I replied quickly. Maybe it's all the excitement of this being the last day of school but brick has been awfully playful today. "How rude", brick said as he smiled. I smiled as I rolled my eyes at him. "So I was thinking.. We should do some thing tonight", brick said. "Like what?", I asked. "I was thinking maybe we could hang out at home and order take out and watch a few movies or play some video games or what ever you want to do", brick said. "Wow brick what a cheap date!", butch said. Brick shot butch a death glare. "It sounds like fun", I said as I smiled. "I figured you'd like it", brick said as he smiled. "It will be nice to relax before the big day tomorrow", I said. "If any of you guys bug us.. I'm seriously going to be mad at you", brick said as he pointed to our friends. "So this means I can't come over for dinner?", butch asked. "I'm serious butch! I don't want to be bothered", brick said. "Alright fine", butch said as he smirked. "I think it's nice that brick wants to spend time alone with momoko", miyako said to butch. "Don't worry brick. Ill make sure he stays away from you guys", boomer said. "Thanks boom", brick said as he smiled. "No problem", boomer said as he smiled. "Hey! Look! There's only one minute left until the bell rings!", kaoru said excitedly. "Our last minute of high school", miyako chirped. Suddenly the whole room was quiet. Now pretty much every one was watching the clock excitedly. We watched as if we was excepting an amazing show even though of course we knew nothing would happen. We all watched as the second hand ticked by. 25,24,23,22,21,20! Just a few more seconds! I'm so ready for this school day to be over! I watched the second hand slowly tic by, 5,4,3,2,1. Suddenly the yell rang and the room erupted in cheers! "Congratulations. You all have survived high school and finished your senior year!", the teacher said excitedly. Every one was now standing up and talking excitedly as they grabbed there bags. Brick quickly hopped off my desk and picked up his bag from the floor. "Man this is great! I don't ever have to wake up early for this place again!", butch said excitedly. I quickly stood up and grabbed my bag and slung it onto my back carrying it with one shoulder. "I'll never have to see another page of home work from this place", kaoru said as she smiled. The noisy class room quickly began to quiet down as the students began to disperse into the hallway. "This Is the last time ill ever see the inside of this room", miyako said as she looked around. I kinda felt a small ping of sadness. I guess I'll miss this place. We did have a lot of memories here. "Come on let's get out of here", brick said as he grabbed my hand. "Alright", I said as I smiled and began to walk with brick. Our friends followed us as we left the room. Every one talked excitedly as we walked through the hallway. Every one was so happy. Miyako smiled as she clung to boomers arm. Even kaoru was holding butch's hand. "I'm never walking through these hallways again!", butch said excitedly. "Me neither and I could careless if I ever see the inside of this place again", kaoru said as she smiled. "Oh come one.. Your going to miss this place", boomer said. "Sure ill miss playing in a sports team for this school but I won't miss all the home work", kaoru said. "Who would miss home work?", I said as I smiled. "No one", brick said as he smiled. Brick quickly veered us to the side of the hallway just in time for katsu and a few of his jock buddies to run past us. Katsu smiled and waved at us as he passed by. "I'm gonna miss a lot of people from this school", I said. "We will meet new people soon enough", brick said. "Yep college is right around the corner", miyako said. "Oh.. I totally forgot that I have to tell my parents about my college plans", I said. "No worries. Do it over dinner tomorrow night", butch said. "It's going to be uncomfortable talking to them about it", I said. "It will be for butch and I to. It's going to be so weird sitting at a table with my dad and butch at the same time", kaoru said. "Are you nervous butch?", brick asked. "No way! I don't get nervous about any thing", butch said in a cocky way. "Sure", brick said sarcastically. "What about you boomer? Are you nervous to meet miyako's grandma?", I asked. "Kinda. I really want her to like me", boomer said. "She will love you. She is a really nice lady", kaoru said. "Wow since when are you a comforting person?", I asked. "Yeah you teased us when I was going to meet Momoko's patents", brick said. "Oh that's because you two are funnier to mess with", kaoru said as she smiled. I smiled and rolled my eyes at kaoru.
