Chapter Thirty-Seven, An apology?

~Momoko's P.O.V~

"Oh miya that's beautiful!", I said as I smiled. "Isn't it gorgeous?", miyako asked as she twirled around. Kaoru, miyako and I are dress shopping today. Right now we are at a dress shop specifically for prom dresses and tuxes. The tuxes are on the other side of the store so the guys are over there. Miyako is trying on the dresses she has picked out. Kaoru and I haven't even picked out any dresses to try on yet but miyako pretty much just walked in and found three that she liked. Miyako stood in front of a mirror staring at herself in the mirror. She was wearing a strapless light blue dress with a white sparkle design on the torso. The dress was poofy around the bottom half and it made it look really cute. "What do you think kaoru?", miyako asked. "It looks dum--", kaoru started to say but I quickly elbowed her side. Kaoru made a face at me then turned back to miyako. "It looks great", kaoru said. "I think it really looks cute", I said. "I think this is the one", miyako said as she smiled. "I think boomer is going to love it", I said as I smiled. "I hope so", miyako said as she smiled. Miyako turned away from the mirror and looked back at kaoru and I. "Why don't you guys go look for dresses while I change?", miyako said. "Okay", I said as I stood up. "Help her", miyako mouthed to me as she pointed to kaoru. "C'mon kaoru let's go find you a dress", I said as kaoru stood up. "Are you positive I can't wear jeans?", kaoru asked. "No! You can't wear jeans!", I said as I grabbed kaoru's arm and pulled her over to where the dresses were. "Fine..", kaoru mumbled. "Now what kind of dress are you looking for?", I asked. "Huh?", kaoru asked. "Like what color? Long or short? Lace or no lace? Slim or poofy?", I asked. "How the hell should I know?", kaoru asked. "Okay then.. Just pick out any thing", I said. "Alright", kaoru said as she reached over and pulled a random dress off the rack with out even looking. Kaoru held it up and showed it to me. "There... Done", kaoru said. The dress she was holding was a dark brown color with orange and purple flowers all over it. "Uhh... Are you sure?", I asked. "Why?", kaoru asked. "I think we should look for another dress", I said. "Why?", kaoru asked. "Do you think that dress is pretty?", I asked. "All dresses are dumb", kaoru said. "What are you going to wear on your wedding day?", I asked. "A T-shirt and a pair of jeans", kaoru said as she smirked. I rolled my eyes and smiled at kaoru. "All right what ever", I said. "Oh no please tell me you didn't choose that dress?", miyako asked as she walked over to us. "Why?", kaoru asked. "Kaoru, that dress is not cute at all", miyako said. "I don't like dress shopping", kaoru mumbled. "Momoko, I thought you was helping her?", miyako asked. " I was trying to", I said. "Alright miyako I have no idea what Im supposed to do so why don't you pick out a dress for me.. Only one though!!! I'm not trying on the whole store", kaoru said. "I think you need some thing poofy", miyako said. "I think the dress should be green", I said. "Alright let's go look for a poofy green dress", miyako said as she grabbed kaoru's arm and pulled her over to the green dresses. I turned and walked over to the pink dresses. There was so many of them. How am I supposed to choose? They all look beautiful. I began looking through a rack of dresses trying to find one that I really really liked. After a few minutes I spotted a few that I loved except one just stood out. I was absolutely in love with that dress. It was all pink except for the torso had silver sparkle design with ruffles around the waist. It was a strapless dress with a poofy bottom. It almost looked like a pink wedding dress. I thought it was absolutely beautiful. I took it off the rack and held it out in front of me. I smiled as I looked at it. "Momoko?", a voice asked. My smile quickly faded away. I know that voice... And unfortunately I have to talk to her. I turned around to face her. Berserk stood about three feet away from me. I could feel my anger towards her rising. Even though brick was okay I still hated her for what happened. "What the hell are you doing here?", I asked. "I was actually just dress shopping", berserk said. "Hey Hun did you see those dresses?", bruise asked as he walked over to berserk. Bruise had a shocked look on his face when he seen me. "Whoa your here to?", bruise asked. Did he just call her Hun? "I had no idea you was going to be here", berserk said. "Momoko, look at this dress! Isn't it perfect?", miyako asked as she pulled kaoru over to me. Both of my friends was surprised to see berserk and bruise. I looked at kaoru and seen she was wearing a light green dress that was poofy around the bottom and had a black bow tied around her waist. It was a very pretty dress. "What the hell are you doing here? Gonna try and kill one of us?", kaoru asked. "Hey don't talk to her like that!", bruise said angrily. "Bruise...", berserk said as she put her hand on his arm. "Just because I'm in a dress doesn't mean I can't kick your ass!", kaoru said. "Look I'm not here to fight. We are only here to look at prom dresses", berserk said. Kaoru looked at berserk suspiciously. "I'm actually glad I ran In to you today", berserk said as she walked forward. "What?", I asked. What berserk did next shocked the hell out of me. She walked forward and pulled me into a tight hug. "I'm so sorry!", berserk said. My eyes went wide and my mouth dropped. "Your sorry?!", I asked. "Yes", berserk said as she pulled away. "What the hell are you plotting?", kaoru asked. "Nothing", berserk said. " I don't know if I believe you... You played me once so how do I know if your playing me again?", I asked. "Look.. I realize now how much the ruffs care about you three and how much you three care about the ruffs and I just don't want to interfere any more. We have moved on and we have no intention of harming any of you.. We're giving up on evil", berserk said. "You killed brick! Do you think a simple I'm sorry would make up for that?!", I asked. "Look I don't expect you to like me after what I've done... It's unforgivable but I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry for every thing", berserk said. "Besides it's not like he is still dead", bruise said. "He could of been...", miyako said. "Luckily momoko was smart enough to remember that she could bring him back using her powers", berserk said as she looked at me with a sincere face. Holy shit... I think she is serious... I think she really is sorry. "I'm truly sorry for the trouble my sisters and I have caused... After graduation we will leave this city and never return", berserk said. "So you six will be free to live your own lives here and the six of us will leave and live our own lives", bruise said. Wait a minute? The six of them? "We should go", bruise said as he grabbed Berserk's hand and started to walk away. There together.. So that must mean brute and brutal are together and brat and bomber are also together? Right? "Wait...", I said. "Huh?", berserk said as she turned back to me. "Are you guys really done messing with us?", I asked. "Yes.. For once we are happy in our lives.. We understand now that we was a bunch of assholes for trying to ruin you and your friends happiness", berserk said. "I don't believe a word of this shit!", kaoru said. "Kaoru... She is being sincere!", miyako said. "Berserk... I can never forgive you for killing brick... But I accept your apology that your sorry for ever messing with us.. Only brick can forgive you for killing him. You should apologize to him", I said. "I've been wanting to find you six and apologize to you all but I didn't want to intrude in your lives any more. I want us to just be class mates", berserk said. "We're not asking to be friends because we know we have ruined our chances.. But if some one asks if you know us. all we would like you to say is we went to school together. We don't want to be enemies", bruise said. "You should go see your dad, berserk.. I bet he would appreciate seeing you", miyako said. "No... I don't want to", berserk said. "When we talked to him.. He said he really missed you", miyako said. "No.. He played you. I knew you guys visited him because he told me. Not because I had tabs on every thing that went on in that town... He could never get over his hate for professor utonium so when mojo called for us he was more than happy for us to come here and ruin the professors creation", berserk said. "So he used you?", kaoru asked. "Yeah.. The only reason he created us was just so he could have a better achievement than utonium. He did care for us as a father but we always knew we were just a way of him getting back at utonium", berserk said. "Im so not looking forward to meeting him some day", bruise said. "I have no intention on letting you meet him but its bound to happen since we will be in the same town", berserk said. Can I trust them? two people that I hate... They are my enemies. Are they changing for the better? How can I believe them? The ruffs... Brick.. He was once my enemy. I hated him for the shit he used to do. But he changed for the better. We fell in love. Five years ago I never would of dreamed that a ruff could change but they did or that I would be in a serious romantic relationship with one but I am. Maybe berserk has changed to. I gave brick a chance and he has changed my life for the better. If I give berserk a chance maybe it will give her life a change for the better. "Berserk I can't believe I'm saying this but.. You six don't have to leave the city.. As long as you six don't cause trouble you can stay", I said. "Really? We wouldn't be invading in your life would we? We have already done enough of that and we don't need to do that any more", berserk said. "You six won't intrude as long as you quit messing with our relationships with the ruffs", miyako said. "We promise to leave you alone.. We're no longer interested in the ruffs", berserk said. "So are you two like a thing now?", kaoru asked. "Yep, she is my girlfriend", bruise said as he smiled. Berserk blushed and smiled at bruise. They look happy together. Who knows maybe if they had found each other sooner there could of been less fights between us. I'm glad they found each other. Now they can live they're own lives and stay out of ours. All though maybe them being together could be bad... It's like all six of our enemies have teamed up. Hopefully they are true to there word and give up on being evil like they said they are. "So this means brutal will be leaving me alone?", kaoru asked. "Yep. He is to busy with brute to even worry about you. So no worries. Brutal will leave you and butch alone", bruise said. "Good.. And bomber, he is also going to leave miyako alone right?", kaoru asked. "Yes", bruise said as he nodded his head. "Good", miyako said as she smiled. "Well we better finish dress shopping.. The store closes soon", bruise said. "Yea I guess your right", berserk said. "I guess we will see you around school then", bruise said. "Alright", I said as I smiled lightly at them. They both waved good bye as the turned and walked away from us. "Are you fucking kidding me!?", kaoru said. "What?", I asked. "All this time all we had to do to get them to stop messing with us was to hook them up with each other?!", kaoru said. "Why didn't we ever think of that?", miyako asked. "I have no idea", I said as I smiled and shook my head. "We need to find a girl monkey and hook mojo up with it so maybe mojo will leave us alone to", kaoru said. "I don't think monkeys is his type", miyako said. "Yeah, he had a crush on ms.keene there for awhile", I said. "Who knows. Lets go back to the dressing rooms so I can take this damn dress off", kaoru said. "I think the dress looks gorgeous kaoru. You look very prett--", I started to say. "Don't say it! You know I hate compliments!", kaoru said as she pointed at me. "Oh come on. When are you ever going to grow out of that?", I asked. "Never! The only compliments I like is on my sports skills", kaoru said. "Alright fine. Lets go to the dressing rooms then", I said as I smiled and rolled my eyes at kaoru. The three of us quickly walked back to the dressing rooms. "Go try on your dress! I can't wait to see what it looks like on you!", miyako said as she smiled. I quickly walked into a dressing room and kaoru went into another dressing room. I quickly changed out of my clothes and into the dress. I turned and looked at my reflection in the mirror. "Whoa", I murmured. I had thought the dress was perfect before but it looked even more beautiful on. I turned away from the mirror and walked over to the door. I opened the door and stepped out so miyako could see the dress. "Ohh momoko!!! The dress is gorgeous! It looks perfect on you!", miyako said as she smiled. "I think this is the dress", I said as I smiled. "I think it's perfect", miyako said as she smiled. "So are we ready to go now?", kaoru asked. "Don't you think her dress is beautiful kaoru?", miyako asked. "It looks great. Now can we go? I'm so bored.. I bet there's a soccer game on tv right now", kaoru said. "Alright fine. Ill go change back into my clothes then we can go pay for the dresses then find the guys", I said.

~Brick's P.O.V~

I stood in front of the mirror fixing the collar of my jacket. "Wow brick you look good", boomer said as he walked over to me. "I know right. I look fucking great", I said as I smiled. I looked over at boomer and smiled. "You look good boom", I said. "Thanks", boomer said as he fixed his dark blue tie. "No no you two have it all wrong. I look the best", butch said as he pushed boomer and I away from the mirror. "Hey!", boomer said as he scowled at butch. "Butch.. Shut up", I said as I lightly pushed him back. Butch turned around to face boomer an I. "Kaoru is not going to be able to keep her hands off me!", butch said as he wiggled his eyebrow. "Oh yeah right", I said as I rolled my eyes. "Well you do look nice but your to cocky", boomer said. "Hey when you look this good it's okay to be cocky", butch said as he smirked. "Oh jeez", boomer said as he rolled his eyes. "Haha! Butch you look like a penguin in that tux!", a voice said. I turned to see kaoru walking towards us. "Yeah chicks can't keep there hands off penguins", I joked as I snickered at butch. "Haha!", butch said sarcastically. Butch scowled at me then kaoru. "C'mon I was kidding you look fine", kaoru said as she smiled and rolled her eyes. Butch smiled back at her. "Hey I found the guys! There over here!", kaoru called. "So you pick out a dress?", butch asked. "Duh!", kaoru said as she held up the long white dress bag in her hand. "Oh my goodness! Brick! You look amazing!", momoko said as she and miyako walked over to us. "Oh boomie you look so handsome!", miyako said. "Thanks", boomer and I said at the same time. I leaned down and gave momoko a quick kiss on the side of her head. Momoko smiled up at me but her smiled quickly faded and she had a serious look on her face. I looked at her questionably wondering why her beautiful smile went away. "You will never guess who we ran into earlier", momoko said. "Who did you guys run into?", I asked. "Berserk and bruise", momoko said. "What?! They didn't try to hurt you guys did they?!", I asked as I looked at momoko then to kaoru and miyako. "Nope", momoko as I looked back at her,"they apologized". "What?", I asked in shock. "They said they was sorry for messing with us and they will never mess with us again", momoko said. "Was they lying?", boomer asked. "Of course they are!", butch said. "I don't know.. They don't have a reason to mess with us any more", momoko said. "Why not?", I asked. "They moved on.. Berserk and bruise are together", momoko said. "What do you mean together?", I asked. "I mean there together together", momoko said. "What?", I asked. "Oh my god does she have to spell it out for you? There dating!", kaoru said. "So if there dating then the rest of them are dating to right?", I asked. "Yep. Brute and brutal, brat and bomber. There all together", momoko said. "How do we know this isn't a trick?", boomer asked. "I don't know.. They seemed really happy with each other", miyako said. "I don't know if I trust them yet but at least there leaving us alone for now", I said. Can we really trust them? Could they of changed for the better? Us ruffs changed for the better so could they change to? I guess only time will tell.
