"Irene"
"Dad? What are you doing here?" Irene was shocked when she saw her father standing after she opened the door.
"I'm here to fetch you, you need to go back at Daegu" her father softly said. Suho was just behind her father, he gave her a small smile as a greeting.
"And why would I?" Irene chuckled. Her father wasn't even talking two complete sentences and it already hit on Irene's nerves.
"The wedding. You need to plan it"
"How many times do I have to tell you that I won't marry Su-"
"I'm dying"
"I got diagnosed of brain cancer. I only have few months to live. I want to see my first born get married to the right man" her father continued. Irene found it hard to believe. Her mouth was agape but her tears were continously rolling on her cheeks.
"You're lying" Irene chuckled bitterly.
"Are you that desperate?" Irene said as her grip on the door knob tightened.
"She's telling the truth Irene. You can ask your mother and Yeri" Suho said. Although she doesn't like Suho to be her husband, Suho never lied on her. Irene broke down. Falling on her knees.
"Stand up, Irene" her father said.
"Go for a therapy! We have money! Try everything! Chemotherapy, surgery or even traditional medicine! You can do it Dad!" Irene shouted while crying.
"I am"
"I am treating myself Irene. But the doctors said it's too late" Irene's father said with a crackef voice.
"No, no, this is just a dream" Irene said crying loudly.
"I can't marry him father" Irene said between her sobs.
"You can still study even if you got married. I'll no longer stop you from doing that" her father clarified.
"No. No, you don't get me. I have a girlfriend! And I can't leave her!" Irene shouted, covering her face. Her father was frozen and even Suho was shocked.
"No one in my family is gay Irene. No one is a dyke in my family. You are a disgrace!!!" her father said sternly and Irene stood up to level on her father.
"Then disown me" Irene bravely said while her cheeks are still wet and both of her eyes are red.
"You're really hard headed. That's my only wish before I leave this planet! And now you're telling me that you're ga-" her father didn't even finish what was he about to say when he passed out.
"Dad! Dad! Suho call an ambulance!" Irene said as she lift her father's head on her lap. Suho quickly followed and put her fingertips on his smartphone.
"Dad, please" Irene said crying, feeling a little hope in her heart when she realized her father still have pulse.
"Irene where are you? Did you went to the mall?" Lisa asked on the phone call.
"N-no. I'm on the hospital" Irene weakly said while staring at her sleeping father on the bedroom hospital.
