"Are you sure Joy will appreciate that we will throw cake on her face, with her being jetlag and all?" Irene asked as all of her friends where preparing for the welcome back party for Sooyoung.
"Nope. But we have to." Wendy said that made them all laugh.
"That's what she get for being snob" Seulgi said.
"Yes, her audacity to send me the like emoji everytime I'll send her memes!" Jisoo said as she crossed her arms.
"Simply because it wasn't a meme Jisoo, it was all chicken pictures or my selfie. I mean, why would you send Joy my selfies?" Jennie asked and Lisa started laughing so hard.
"Lucky you she sent like emojis, Joy unnie just always left me on read" Yeri said.
"You should consider yourselves lucky, she won't even open my messages for her" Chaeyoung said and everyone burst out laughing.
"She'll probably get mad that no one went to the airport to fetch her" Wendy said.
"Shoot! It's already 6pm! She will arrive anytime soon. Let's hide!" Jisoo said and they turned off the light as they position theirselves at the side of the walls.
The table has wines, soju and light beers. They brought pizza and carbonara. There were also barbecue chicken, fried fish fillets, nachos and fries. The sweets includes cupcakes baked by Jennie, truffles made by Chaeyoung and chocolate peanut bars by Wendy.
Almost seven minutes had passed, they heard the door knob clicking. When it opened the lights quickly followed, they pulled the strings of their party poppers.
"Welcome back Sooyoung!!!" They said in unison and some confetti landed on Irene's mouth.
"Ahhhh" Sooyoung shouted in surprised, wobbling through her high heels.
Soon enough, they started smacking Joy for the way she acted when she was at Canada, a snob.
"Sorry! I was just busy" Joy said as she defended herself. She haven't clearly saw everyone when a cake landed on her face.
"Serves you right" Seulgi said.
"Let me lick it" Yeri said and Joy run for her life.
"Aish! Why would you do this to me!" Joy whined as some icing landed on the floor. Everyone was pleased at the art they made at Joy.
Joy cleared the icing that covered her eyes, and whe she opened it. It was Irene and Chaeyoung that she saw first. She haven't saw Irene since their graudation aside from facetime. And Chaeyoung? she haven't talk with Chaeyoung since she learned that the former was dating Lisa.
"Let me clean up, you assholes! I shouldn't have bought fine wines from Canada if I knew this would happen" Joy said.
"You mean this?" Yeri asked as she poured the bottle on each wine glass. Joy just widened her eyes and shook her head lightly as she realized Yeri grew up, much different from her sister.
"Joy?" It was Irene. If Joy was being honest, she missed her bestfriends, particularly this one.
"Yes. Give me a second" Joy said and wipe her face.
"It's been a long time" Irene said as she hug Joy.
"Irene, don't be emotional. Let's just have some fun" Joy said as she stop herself from tearing up.
