Lisa's stare was drowning into void. She felt numb while Irene's body laying at the hospital bed with bandage on her head etched on her mind. She was outside Irene's room waiting at one of the cold metal hospital waiting chair.
"Lili? I talked at the doctor and I informed our friends including Yeri about what happened" Chaeyoung said as she at Lisa.
"Thank you baby" Lisa said as she kisses Chae's hands that were locked into hers.
"Let's go home. Joy will go here to stay with Irene" Chae said.
"N-no. I can't" Lisa said.
"She'll be alright Lili, the doctor said she'll be discharge tomorrow afternoon" Chae consoled her girlfriend.
"It was my fault Chae" Lisa said crying.
"It was an accident. No one wanted it to happen. It's getting late baby, come on let's go home" Chaeyoung said convincing Lisa. She wiped Lisa's tears and Chae could really feel that Lisa was exhuasted by thinking about what just had happened.
"I'll stay here. This mess was caused by me. I'll see you tomorrow. I love you" Lisa said before cupping Chaeyoung's face to give a peck on the latter's lips.
"Is there anything I could do to change your mind? You need to rest, Lisa" Chaeyoung said but Lisa gently shook her head.
"See you tomorrow baby" Lisa said once again, assuring her girlfriend that she'll be fine.
"I'll fetch you tomorrow. Have some sleep. I love you" Chae said as she squeezed Lisa into a hug.
"I love you too Chae"
Joy worriedly got inside Irene's hospital room. Yeri was with Wendy, though she insist she wanted to go at Irene, Seulgi didn't allow her after Chae assured them that it was under control. And promised the youngest that they will visit her sister first thing first tomorrow.
"Lis? I thought you went home with Chae?" Joy softly asked.
"No. I can't. I'll stay here until she wakes up" Lisa said and Joy got surprised at Lisa's answer.
Joy looked at her bestfriend sleeping peacefully. Bruises on her face was visible and looked painful just by looking at it. She squeezed Irene's hand in seeking comfort. The apparatus was heard
"She'll be alright. I came here to look after her but I guess a company wouldn't hurt" Joy said smiling.
"Thank you" Lisa said giving Joy a small smile.
"Just like the old days" Joy mumbled.
"What?" Lisa asked.
"Do you remember those times we went out only the two of us because I was shy for some dumb reason. Dahyun even thought that we were secretly dating" Joy shook her head while laughing.
"Yes, it was really fun to remember. We have ate to alot of restaurants that serve delicious pizzas and burgers." Lisa said and she feel herself breathing properly compared earlier.
"Yes and that I always cling into you. I can't blame Dahyun for assuming we were dating way back then" Joy giggled.
"You're a different kind of friend for me Lisa. You're one of those I consider special because those college days that no one wanted to come near me, you had the guts to invite me at your group. You had that huge impact on my life especially when you introduce me to your friends" Joy said. Her smile was genuine as she remember those days. Particularly, the very first day she saw the person she likes the most on which name she's the only one who knew.
