Irene hang out with Lisa more often, sometimes with their other friends. Most of the time, it was only the two of them since they are neighbors.
Irene gave in to Lisa and allow herself freely to their friendship, everything about Lisa screams kindness. One night, she saw Lisa helping an old beggar who's asking for food. Last week, Lisa gave a coat to a kid who's cold outside the mall. She helps everytime there's someone in need. And Irene was so clueless on why does she have to witness everything Lisa will do these things.
Right now, Irene was in a meeting with Mr. Park. Bogum drag her here although her presence is not obviously necessary. She just agree because he convince her that she needs exposure to this kind of thing. Little did he know, she handles more bigger things than this back in Daegu.
"Thank you for accompanying me Ms. Bae" Bogum said smiling.
"No big deal Mr. Park" she smiled warmly.
The meeting was over and it really consumed Irene's time. She said to Lisa if she will be home by seven, she will cook for both of them and if not Lisa can ask for a delivery so she won't get hungry. It became a habit, Irene herself doesn't like the idea of Lisa eating unhealthy food. Now, it was already eight and it would take 20 mins for her to go home.
"Are you in rush?" Bogum asked making Irene nodded.
"I can give you a ride"
"No, I'll just call an uber"
"Nah, I insist. Come on" Irene realize it would be rude if she turned him down again because Bogum already opened the door for passenger seat. So she politely obliged. The ride was silent and only the sound of engine and the car horns were heard.
"Irene" Irene look at her right to see Bogum biting his lower lips but his gaze is still on the road.
"Uhm. Can I take you out on Saturday?" Bogum nervously asked.
"For what Mr. Park? Where's the meeting?" Irene curiously asked.
"No, a date. I wanna take you out on a date" Bogum said more confidently. Flashing her perfect smile.
"Oh" Irene was surprised at the sudden invitation.
"Hmm. Can I?" Bogum asked once again.
Irene was taken aback at the question. She knows it's not ethical to date your boss especially when she's not even sure if she's interested at all.
"I'll let you know until Friday" Irene said, slightly panicking. She wished Wendy was around to know what she'll do or say.
Few minutes had passed, Irene found herself in front of her condo. Irene bids her goodbye to Bogum and the man playfully wink at her. She was oblivious that Lisa was watching them. Lisa jut got down to buy something at the convenience store.
"Didn't know someone like him was your type" Lisa said making Irene startled, holding her chest and releasing a shaky breathe.
"Oh geez! Lisa" Irene holds her chest. Returning a warm smile that was given to her by the blonde.
"He seems good" Lisa teased more.
"Oh, you shut up. He's my boss" Irene explained. It was pretty awkward that her first kiss was teasing her with someone else.
"Did you grab dinner already?" Lisa asked.
"Hmm. Yep, Bogum and I went to a drive thru after meeting" Irene explained. And she can sense that Lisa is out to grab food.
"I told you to eat something! Didn't I? It's already 9 in the evening!" Irene scolded Lisa and the blonde just laugh lightly.
"It's okay. Go inside, you might catch cold" Lisa patted her head and Irene chuckled.
