"Are you really happy?" He asked me a weird question that made me look at him.
"Can't you see my happy face?" I chuckled before returning my gaze in the colorful city in front of us.
"Well, I know that you're always pretending. I can't trust that smile on your face, it can deceive everyone. So, tell me," He said while still staring at me. It made me uncomfortable but I still managed to smile again.
I leaned closer to him and whispered, "The truth is, I can't feel anything but sadness. I'm shattered into pieces. Something's missing with me and I can't take it back. I am in great pain. Everything's a mess. But I can still smile."
I smiled at him again but this time, it's real.
Someone already knows the truth and it makes me happy.
Finally, I won't have to wear my mask. Even if it's just for tonight.
