Hiccup's POV:
--------------------"SON!" Dad called as he raced over.
"Uh, hi dad." I stuttered.
"You got the metal I see." He smiled.
"Yeah..." I wondered why he was looking at me strange.
"Oh, good man!" He gave me a hard pat on the back making me cough. "I take it all went well then?"
"Better than well, they are all training dragons now!" Astrid came up from behind me.
"Ahah! I knew you could do it son!" He smiled.
"No you didn't...." I muttered quietly.
"What was that?"
"Nothing." I smiled.
"Ahhhhh! Yes! My scrap metal!" Gobber appeared out of no where.
"No Gobber, this is for..." Astrid cut him off.
"For my new saddle!" She announced. "I really need a new saddle, just look at this one!" She pointed to Stormfly's back.
"Woah!" Gobber looked with wide eyes. "Gods Astrid, what did you do to it?" He looked at it.
"More like what else can I do with it?" She sighed.
"Oh, I'll put something together for you, any ideas?" He asked as suddenly he was handed a piece of paper. He looked at it.
"Not that hard. Could you guys help me get this metal up to the forge?" He asked.
----time skip----
"Hand me the leather!" Gobber asked for the fifth time until I final hand it to him, now I'm stuck helping him make saddles. "Not really with it today are ya?" He pointed out.
"Just thinking about something." I answered. I was actually thinking about how I was able to actually convince an entire tribe to stop killing dragons. Wait...I didn't change their mind, Astrid did. I didn't really think about it that way until now. And she has been praising me the whole time. I'm such an idiot. I better do something for her.
"HICCUP THE HAMMER!" Gobber yelled and I shot up on shock.
"Oh, yeah, here you go." I handed it to him.
"That's like the tenth time I've had to ask you lad. What possible has your mind that occupied?" He asked. I didn't reply I just watched him putting the saddle together. "Oh, I get it, it's Astrid ain't it?" He laughed.
"Pft, no. Why should I be thinking about her?" I turned away awkwardly.
"Mmhm." He hummed, sarcastically agreeing with me.
"Came to..." Suddenly Astrid entered unexpectedly.
"ASTRID!" I heard my voice crack as I lost my balance leaning against the table and fell on the floor.
"Knew it." Gobber chuckled before returning to the saddle.
"You okay there stranger?" Astrid looked over the table at me as I got up from the floor.
"Yeah, yeah fine." I rubbed my aching head.
"Where have you been?" She questioned. She didn't see me this morning so that probably explains it.
"Oh, just, here." I stuttered.
"Okay then.... Anyway, I came to check on the saddle." She turned back to Gobber.
"Yep, just about done." He responded, that's when I thought came to mind.
"No it's not!" I quickly stepped in front of Astrid to stop her from looking at the saddle. "You know, loose wires, missing bolts, that kind of thing." I tried pushing her out of the forge.
"Looked done to me." She tried to look past me.
"Yeah, it looks like that but it's not, it should be done later I'll come and get you when it is bye." I quickly closed the door.
"And this is why I never married." Gobber pointed to Astrid who was probably standing on the other side of the door dumbfounded.
"What?" I questioned him.
"To complicated." He turned back as he took the saddle off the table. "You can go back and get her now, it's done." He told me.
"No it's not!" I quickly took it from him."
"Yes it is." He took it back.
"No it's not." I took it back again. He crossed his arms.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"Nothing, thanks for the help Gobber, bye." I quickly walked into the back room with the saddle. I put it down on the table and looked at it. Wow, she wasn't kidding about it being elaborate. I walked picked up the twine I tied around her axe and began tying it around the handles. Suddenly another thought came to mind.
"Gobber wait!" I yelled as I ran back into the forge.

Astrid's POV:
--------------------"The dragon race starts in a few minutes." Fishlegs said worried.
"Yeah, it would if we had our dragons!" Snotlout yelled.
"Where are they anyway? And where is Hiccup?" I wondered.
"Blowing something up?" Tuff imagined.
"If only we could be there to witness." Ruff sighed.
"Toothless, go find Stormfly for..." I patted him on the head but then turned to see where the gang were looking. I saw all our dragons standing ahead of us with Hiccup smiling in the middle. "....me" I finished as Toothless ran over to Hiccup. Our dragons stood all ready with their paint and...new saddles?
"Awww cool!" Snotlout ran over to Hookfang who seemed proud of his new saddle. "What is this stuff on it!" Snotlout asked Hiccup as he looked at the saddle that was coated in something shiny.
"It's fireproof." He smiled back.
"I don't say this often but that is pretty cool!" He hopped on his dragon. "FIRE IT UP!" He ordered as Hookfang set flame. He burned out as Snotlout looked at his butt. "ITS NOT BURNING!" He yelled with joy as he too the sky.
"Oh my Thor, I can annoy you even more!" Tuff smiled as Beltch's head went upside down and Tuff knocked off Ruffs helmet.
"Hey, no fair!" She punched him. He would usually fall off but he didn't.
"Ow! Awwww....I didn't fall, now I don't get to feel the pain of hitting the floor. These stirrups suck Hiccup." He told him. Hiccup just giggled to himself as the twins flew off.
"Aww Meatlug, now I don't have to hold on to your ears anymore." Fishlegs hugged his Gronckle.
"You're welcome Fishlegs." Hiccup smiled.
"You're amazing!" He yelled as he flew away. Hiccup turned to me as he rubbed Stormfly under the chin.
"I believe you ordered a new saddle." He smiled holding out his hand. I smiled back and headed over to him. I hopped up on Stormfly and looked at the saddle. It was just as I pictured. The blue and orange stripes, the place to hold my axe and bow. I placed my hands on the handles. The classic twine. Typical Haddock. My eyes laid on the wood circle in the middle of each handle. Barely noticeable but clearly there was a small heart carved into the wood.
"Yep, she saw it." Hiccup patted Toothless below me.
"Awwwww!" I smiled as I fell off the saddle and landed on him. We landed on the floor where my nose touched his.
"You know, this is great, but it would be so much better if you didn't have a spiked skirt." He giggled trying to not say ow.
"Haha, sorry." I rolled off. We stood up and I kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you." I smiled.
"Just to say thank you for convincing the meatheads to stop killing dragons." He responded.
"Really?" I questioned.
"Well it wasn't me who convinced the chief." He smiled.
"Haha, well you put up a good fight I'll give you that." I punched him lightly in the arm. "Come on, I have a dragon race to win." I laughed, hopping on Stormfly.
