That night, I couldn't get any sleep.

The places on my arm and leg that got whipped, stung like hell. The memory of being tied up and blindfolded still was deep into my mind, not planning to leave my head anytime soon.

Should I change my identity? Should I change my appearance? What if Levi Ackerman changed his mind about letting me go? What if he's somewhere here right now? Waiting to end me at any moment?

-

"Who was the girl, Levi?" Hange grinned. "Some idiot broke the rules of the Mafia and I handled it. I freed her." Levi answered simply. Hange laughed loudly. "Our people are so stupid sometimes. What was her name? Did you steal anything?" Hange questioned.

"Her name is (Y/N). I didn't steal anything. She got whipped." Levi spoke. "What's this? Is the boss feeling bad? Since when Levi? Aren't you the son of the heartless man named—"

"Quiet. I will be nothing like that man. That doesn't mean I will be some what of a good man either. This is the Mafia, Hange." Levi glared at Hange.

"Jeez okay."

-

And just like that, the sunlight devoured the darkness of the night.

-

I woke up like any other day. I got up and started my day. I was relieved that it was a Saturday. Weekends are not work days.

As I was walking down stairs, I stopped dead in my tracks. The memory of yesterday flooded in my head once again. I wanted to throw up. That..wasn't a dream? A cruel nightmare? I looked at my arm and then at my leg. The marks from the whip were there. I wanted to scream bloody murder.

Any normal person would be scared if they got kidnapped by a member of the Mafia and then whipped. Right? Not only that, I met the leader of the Mafia that surprisingly didn't kill me right then and there.

How am I alive?!

-

I shook my head and continued down the stairs. I'm gonna enjoy my weekend and forget this even happened. Not so hard right?

I walk to my kitchen and open the door to the pantry.

...

Okay great. Running low on food. No worries! Going to the store is fine!

Shit. My car is being repaired. And in order going to the store, I have to pass..that horrible place. The place where I got kidnapped..

..then released.

It's not like I can tell anyone about the kidnapping. My head will be chopped off if I will. Plus, I can't tell the police, they're being paid by the Mafia to shut their mouths and do nothing about it.

I sigh, going back up stairs and getting ready to go to the store.

It takes me about ten minutes to get ready. I don't really bother with makeup. Just a quick run to the store. Surely nothing will happen, right? I grab my purse and head out of the door.

-

It's been a peaceful walk so far. I got my groceries and I'm almost back to my apartment.

Nothing unusual—

Just as I pass an alleyway, I hear a crash in it and soon after a groan. As a doctor, it's an instinct to help someone who is hurt. I simply cannot ignore someone who needs help.

I run in the alleyway and get my first aid kit I keep in my purse. I look down, only to see is a man with brown hair and ocean eyes look up at me. "Are you okay?" I ask kindly. "I.." he struggles. "I can't move." He cries out.

"What hurts?" I ask in a rush. "My arms.." he replies. I use my flashlight from my phone for light. The alleyway is dark, therefor I cannot see properly without some sort of light. He looks like he's in his twenties. I look at his arms and see one is dislocated while the other one is covered in scratches.

Odd. The dislocated one is not covered in scratches.

I snap back into reality and open my first aid kit. First I grab the man's dislocated arm. "Trust me okay..?" I smile. He nods. I put his arm back into place and he winces in pain. I'm surprised he didn't scream.

"These injuries look like their from someone else's doing. What happened?" I look up from his arms. "Nothing special.." he replies. I shrug and get out the bandage tape from the first aid kit and wrap it around his arms.

"What is your name, ma'am?" He asks. "It's (Y/N)" I smile. "And yours? It's only fair."

"It's Er—"

"Eren who is that and why are you hurt?" A man behind me calls out.

Familiar..why is it so familiar?

I turn around to see none other than Levi Ackerman. I gulp. Shit. This is it. This man I helped..he's from the Mafia?

I'm such an idiot. My instinct to help people blinded my eyes. I'm in the alleyway of the Mafia hideout. Where I was kidnapped.

Maybe if I play it out..

"Never thought I would see you again, (Y/N)." Levi spoke with no emotion. I take a deep breath in and then out. "Me neither. I was actually trying to avoid this place. But when I heard this man cry out for help..I could help myself." I spoke nothing but honestly.

"You guys know each other??" Eren spoke. "Quiet you idiot." Levi snaps at the injured man. And so Eren did. He didn't dare to speak a word after that.

"You helped him, (Y/N)?" Levi asked. "I did. I hope I actually did anything that helped him." I responded. I handed Eren painkillers and some water. He silently thanked me and took them.

"Are you going to kill me?" I asked. Wanting to know what's been on my mind ever since we approached each other.

"No. I made up my mind. Quit your job and work for me as a doctor." Levi spoke. "It's either that or death. You have encountered people from the Mafia too many times."

"Very well. Let me do it now then." I sighed.

"Before you do it, I will need to send someone with you. Not me of course. And sending Eren to a hospital in that condition is not a option either." Levi sighed putting his hand to his head. "All this thinking is giving me a headache." He spoke.

"I have painkillers." I held them up.

"I don't trust you—"

"Boss, I took some, if it was poison I would of been dead already." Eren spoke. I looked back at him and smiled and silently said a thank you.

Levi looked at Eren, then me, then the pills. "Very well."

-

After that, the man I saw yesterday was walking with me to the hospital, Armin was it? "Whats your name, miss?" Armin asked. "(Y/N)" I replied. I turn towards him and smile. I notice his eyes go wide. "You are very strange from the others.." he said bluntly.

"Unique?"

"Ah, yes! That's the word." Armin smiled. "Well, thank you for the compliment." I smiled back.
