Loved For Once (Levi x Reader)

•Chapter Forty-seven•

Today is the day we go 'kill' Levi Ackerman and take over the Mafia. I plan on doing what I originally wanted to do, I just want to beat him up a little bit.

"I want it to be a slow and painful death."

Those words made Kenny laugh like always. I remember him saying, "do what you want, kid. Maybe even talk to him. Make it as painful as possible if you want." I then looked in his eyes. I saw regret and pain.

Regret and pain for what? I have a good guess. I don't think he means what he just said. Kenny is Levi's uncle after all. He has to have some sympathy for him.

He had to care just a little bit.

Every time I ask him, he denies it. That's when I see the sorrow in his eyes. It almost looks like he doesn't want to kill him.

"It's for the best." He said.

It was the anniversary of when I went missing and 'died'. Caven said it was a good idea to attack today. It would be when they at least expected it, even though I'm apparently 'dead'.

Right now, we were right outside the gate to the mansion. There were cameras everywhere, just as expected. We covered our face if people saw us.

Somehow, Kenny found out that there was supposed to be a package delivered here today and told the security guard. He of course had a box filled with nothing but bubble wrap.

Once we rung the doorbell, a man answered the door. Caven quickly jumped forward to knock him out. She quickly caught him and laid him on the floor carefully.

I'm nervous.

"Here we go. We first go to Levi. Any idea where he might be?" Caven asked. It was then when I had an idea. "I'm good at climbing, I could check. While I do that, go take care of the guards around the house." I say.

Perfect. Now that I will be alone, it will be a good time to find him and warn him. I wonder how he's going to react.

Wait..maybe he has a lover that replaced me. If he does..I don't know what I might do. I haven't thought of this. No, it would be wrong to kill him just because he replaced me. Yet again, he replaced me. I don't even know for sure. Let's not make assumptions.

"Alright, be careful." Kenny says. They then rush off to the other direction.

I start climbing and look in the windows. I saw the kitchen, living room, etc. That was the first floor. I'm guessing if they had unwanted guests, they wouldn't be suspicious if they just saw a normal looking house. It was a nice house. Better looking than the underground base.

I counted five floors. I was currently on the second. I saw the medical office, the science room, the gym, and all the things that didn't matter at the moment. I then went to the third floor, where I saw nothing but rooms. I was guessing the fifth floor was the rooms for people who lived here, so I am assuming that Levi was on the fourth floor.

I was right.

There he was in his office. No woman there, thank goodness. Once I saw Eli, I smiled. He kept her. That made me happy that he wouldn't sell her.

Is he still thinking about me?

I go to the room next to his and luckily it was empty. I slowly open the window and get inside.

Success!

I walk as quietly as possible across the hallway to his office.

Here we go.

I clear my voice before speaking. "Excuse me, boss?" I say, making my voice purposely higher. "Come in." He responds. I was extremely nervous, but I ignored that. I took my hoodie off and walked in.

When we locked eye contact, I felt a a wave of emotion I can't explain.

"(Y/N)?" He asked with a doubt. I quickly walked over to him. "I don't have much time, okay? The sweet reunion later. Kenny and Caven will be here any moment. They took me in so I could kill you." I said with a whisper. I covered his mouth so he couldn't talk. "Im obviously not going to kill you, but I'm gonna beat you up after this is all over." I say.

"You're..alive." He says with a shocking expression.

"There coming. I'm gonna act like I just got here, okay?" He then takes my hand off his mouth and our fingers intertwine. I smile, but quickly get back to the window.

It was then when they came in.

"I just got here." I tell them. Caven closes the window. "Well, well, well. It's been awhile, you little runt." Kenny walks over to Levi. Levi quickly gets up and gets the gun and knife out of his pocket.

"Isn't it surprising to see your deceased girlfriend alive?" He asked cockily. I look at him and he looks at me. I look away, not trying to break my act. "You really think you can kill him, (Y/N)? He's skilled." Caven whispers to me.

I am unable to speak.

She puts her hand on my shoulder. "It'll be alright. If you can't do it, then Kenny will." She says.

I don't want him to die.

"What if Kenny fails?" I whisper. She then chuckles, "he won't." She sounded confident.

I don't want him to die either.

"If you think this will be easy, then you're sadly mistaken, Kenny." Levi's eyes are stone cold. He sounds serious. Very serious.

Why can't we just get along?

It was then when the door opened, revealing Eren and Hange.

Shit.

"Shit!" Levi shouts. What he did next was unexpected. He lifted up a table in the room and threw it to Hange and Eren for cover.

They quickly ducked and got behind the table. When Kenny took out his gun, a cold chill waved through me. Caven took her hand off my shoulder and got her gun out as well.

This office officially turned into a war zone.
