A loud knock at the door woke me up from my slumber. I rubbed my eyes and yawned. My eyes were puffy, I could feel it. I got up and walked to the door and hesitated to open it.

"Who is it?" I weakly asked.

I heard the person sigh. "It's me, (Y/N)" Levi spoke. My eyes widened, "I-If I let you in..your going to lecture me, aren't you? I rather talk like this." I leaned against the door and sat down. "Wha—? Whatever." I heard him yawn. What time was it?

I checked the clock that read 2:30am. "The hell are you up so early?" I asked quietly. "I had..work." He told me. "I came to talk. Not lecture you, brat." Levi spoke. I rolled my eyes, brat was one of his favorite things to call everyone.

I stayed quiet. "It wasn't your fault, (Y/N). A knife the heart is instant death. I'm surprised she held out for that long." Levi assures me. I wasn't having it though. "Everyone probably hates me now. You brought me to that job because I was a doctor. To save people from..death." I spoke honestly.

"Oh my fucking go—." Levi then paused and took a deep breath in. "They don't hate you, (Y/N). They're actually worried." I heard a thud on the other side of the door. "What was that..?" I asked.

"I'm sitting down, relax."

There was a comfortable silence after that. I was holding back tears though.

"Do you like it here, (Y/N)?" Levi asked. I took a moment to think about it. Do I like it here? I mean, it's not bad but it isn't good. Constantly seeing people die..I don't know.

"It's..fine." I spoke with uncertainty. He only hummed in acknowledgment. "Well, if you continue being here, you'll have to go through things way worse than that." Levi spoke honestly.

I gulped, not wanting to know what he meant by that. I could already imagine all the horrible things in my head. "Orribile" Translation: Horrible. I muttered under my breath. "That is the way." Levi muttered back.

We continued talking, and at one point, he explained who our enemy was and how he knew them so well. Kenny was his uncle apparently. How could family turn on each other?

Oh right, this is the Mafia.

"Well..I'm gonna get some rest." Levi then yawned. I got up, "Goodnight." I tell him. "Night." I then hear him walk away. I look at the time, it read 4:42am.

We were talking for a long time..

"It's very early, Levi." The voice startled Levi, but he made sure not to show it. It was Hange. "What do you want?" Levi asks. "You don't usually do these kinds of things. Have something to say, Boss?" Hange smirked, as in she knew something. "I don't want to find another doctor, that's all." I told her, not even being sure that what I said was true or not.

She sighed, "How troubling." she started to walk away but then turned around, facing me once again. We looked at each other in silence for a few seconds. She then chuckled softly, "I wonder..Levi. Do you have a heart or no?" she then turned and left Levi's sight.

Levi continued the other way, going to his own quarters. Do I have a heart? Yes. Do I have emotion? No. No leader should show their true emotions. They should act tough and strong. Strong enough to lead a organization.

Shit. I feel terrible right now, Levi thought in his head, that was hurting like hell. He lazily walked in his bedroom and rolled onto the bed.

It's so hot..

He proceeded to button down his shirt. Not all the way though, just enough for the cold air to come through. He wiped his now sweaty forehead, groaning in disgust.

He soon passed out.

-

"Its 3:00pm! He isn't up yet?" Erwin questioner Hange, who just shrugged in respond. He groaned, annoyed. "Someone go check on him."

He might be hurt. You never know." Sasha then chopped on the potato she had in her hand. It was then when Erwin and Hange stood up quickly. "I'll go get (Y/N)." Hange then runs to the doctor's office.

Soon after that, Hange and (Y/N) ran towards Levi's quarters.

They soon arrived at the quarters. "Levi, I'm kicking down the door!" Hange yelled.

"3..2..1..!" Hange then kicked down the door and ran in. There on the bed was a sick looking man. It was Levi Ackerman. "God damn it." Hange sighed in relief.

I walked over to him and put my hand to his forehead. "It's very warm." I muttered. "He's alseep." Hange whispered. I quickly took my hand away from his forehead. I quickly ran to the bathroom and wet a cloth. I came back and folded it. I then put it on his head.

"Meadowsweet.." I muttered. "Go get Historia." I told Hange, who nodded and left.

There were a few minutes of silence. I kept a good eye on the boss. When he suddenly opened his eyes, I snapped back into reality and walked over to him.

"The hell.." he muttered.

"Don't move. You're sick." I told him. He surprisingly listened and didn't move. I sighed in relief, knowing if he moved he would move the damp towel off his head.

"I'm sick..?" He asked in disbelief. "Yes, I believe so. I guess that's what you get for working to hard." I crossed my arms, looking disappointed. He only rolled his eyes in response. "You better fix me quick. I got shit to do, people to ki—beat up." He tried to sound serious, but all he sounded was sick and weak.

"Don't talk. It'll only make your voice worse." I told him. He then smirked, "Trying to shut me up?" He asked.

"Yes." I answered truthfully with a smile. There was silence once again, I looked over to Levi and he was surprisingly asleep.
