It's been a week and I could finally walk. The cuts weren't healed all the way, but they were good enough for me to get out of the wheelchair.

Levi still wanted me to rest though, which sucked. Most of the time, I'm not even asleep. I'm talking with Sasha.

Which the plan is going great. I plan to get him a brand new tea set and different kinds of tea. He usually drinks black tea, but I want him to go out of his comfort zone and try things. Hopefully he might like some of the ones I picked out.

To make it even better, his birthday was soon. I recently discovered that it was on Christmas Day. How lovely is that? He gets to have more presents.

His ass doesn't even notice how lucky he is. Hange told me that he doesn't usually celebrate his birthday or Christmas. Which pisses me off.

I checked the calendar. It was currently December 21st. I didn't have much time until his birthday.

But that's okay.

"You know he won't let you out of here. You're still hurt." Armin stood there, blocking the elevator entrance. I frowned at the sight. "Then you'll go. I'll give you money and tell you what I specifically need." I walk over to him and give him a couple hundred bucks.

"I'll text the list to you." I smile and walk away. Armin stands there quietly, looking at the money in his hands.

I then make my way to Levi's office. Once I open the door, I see Levi playing with Eli. I feel like he got a cat more for him than me.

"Quit being adorable." I say, revealing my presence. Levi and Eli look at me at the same time. "Who?" He asked. I sighed and walked over to them. "Both of you." I responded.

I've been in the Mafia for a year now. (Time flies by quickly). And it's been quite the experience. Being kidnapped, being beaten, dating the leader of the Maifa. Never thought I would go through this, that's for sure.

"I think Eli likes you than me. And you gave her to me as a birthday present." I pet the cat and walked over to his desk and sat down in his chair. "I'm just a likable person." Levi puts the cat down and walks towards me.

"Yeah, sure." I smile. He isn't the most likable person, that's for sure. I mean, everyone fears him, except for the people that really know him.

"I noticed it was your birthday soon. Hange told me." I saw him avoid eye contact with me, which made me more interested. "I don't like how you don't appreciate that your birthday is on a day you get presents anyway." I cross my arms and look at him sternly.

"I don't like how I have to reminded how I'm slowly dying." Levi shrugs. I then gasp. "You're not dying! You may be turning thirty-one, which isn't even old, but do you know how many people wish to be you? To be actually handsome at this age?" I shake my head in disappointment and get up from the chair.

"I appreciate the complement, but you're sadly mistaken. No one wants to be one of the most targeted people in the world, (Y/N)." Levi sits down where I once was and faces me. I roll my eyes, "don't think so negatively. Appreciate the life you were given, even if it sucks right now."

"It doesn't suck." He said quickly. I raise my eyebrow and smile. "Oh yeah? What's so special about your life? Aren't you 'dying'?" I see him roll his eyes. "You're funny. Only so many people can talk to me like this."

"I'm your girlfriend."

-

"For Christmas, I got him knives and a cute necklace." I told Sasha. She laughed, "cute necklace? He isn't so cute."

I beg to differ. He's quite adorable when you catch him at the right moments.

"It's a basic design. Just a diamond heart." I shrugged. She suddenly got up. "The hell?! Diamond? You can afford that??" She asked quietly. I shrugged, "I was paid well at the hospital." I told her.

"Wow."

The room was silent for awhile until I thought of something.

"A roomba." I suddenly say out of the blue. Sasha looks at me with a confused expression. "You mean one of those mini vacuums that go around your house and cleans?" Sasha asks me. I nod in response. "He loves cleaning. I see him doing it a lot. Maybe it could save Eren from getting a knee to the face."

...

"You like Connie?" I ask Sasha. She suddenly denies it quickly. "What? No. No way. He's too short." Sasha laughed nervously, which raised my suspicions. "I knew it." I quietly muttered to myself.

"Shut up!"

-

"I guess I'm having a birthday." Levi tells Hange. She smiles, "that's good. How old are you? I can't remember." Hange jokingly asks. "You know damn well how old I am."

"Did you get presents for her? I mean, it is Christmas also." Hange asked Levi, who just froze.

"Shit."

Hange laughed at Levi, who just glared at her. She quickly stopped, but looked like she wanted to still laugh.

"It's been quiet since (Y/N) got kidnapped." Levi nodded in agreement. "Yes. For now on, we will protect her and watch her more carefully. Some people know how much I care for her." Levi sighs.

"It'll be okay." Hang puts a reassuring hand on Levi's shoulder.

"You never know. Zeke is still alive. I should ask (Y/N) if she wants to finish him off."

Hange shakes her head. "She's changed, that's for sure. She used to say that she can't take away lives, she's supposed to save them. But I think you rubbed off on her." Hange shrugged. Levi thought about it for a second. "Maybe. But it's for the best. Look where she is. She can't act innocent forever."

"That's true."
