"Is it okay if I go to the bakery across the street?" I ask Levi, who looks up at me and sighs. "Bring Mikasa, please." Levi muttered. I smile at him. "I'll bring you back some vanilla cake for your tea." He's been working hard lately? I wanted to give him something.

(I'm so so so so SO sorry for forgetting to post Levi's birthday. The rest of the chapter will be all about it!)

Now that I think about it, I got vanilla cake for his birthday. His birthday. I smile at the thought of that memory.

-

"Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas~!" I run to Levi and hug him tightly. I notice he was more stiff than usual. "What wrong?" I ask him in a whisper. It was then when I notice he was holding a small box with a ribbon. A present maybe? It's expected, it is his birthday.

"My uncle got me this. I'm sorry, it's just it is not expected. We hate each other." Levi explains. I sigh and let go of him. I take the box and inspect it carefully. "Well..it's not a trap at least. Maybe he wanted to work things out." I suggest.

"I highly doubt that." He muttered under his breath.

I open the box to see a piece of paper. I then give the paper to Levi, not wanting to read it without permission. I wait patiently as he reads it. His expression is emotionless.

"What did it say?" I asked him. He shook his head in denial, "Nothing important." He muttered. It's personal and that's okay. I would never force someone to tell me something personal.

"Friends are waiting for you downstairs. They're all waiting to open presents." I grab his hand and drag him down the stairs.

Once we are in view of Hange, she gets up quickly and hugs the both of us. "Happy Birthday, Levi! Merry Christmas (Y/N)!" She cheerfully said as she went back to her sitting spot in a hurry.

We both sit down and wait for what will happen next. "Let's start with Boss. Open your presents!" Historia said as she gave Levi the presents.

"What the actual fuck."

The first present he opened was interesting. It was a rice cooker. The person who got it for him was of course Sasha. She was a bit taken back at his reaction. "You don't like it?" She asked worriedly.

Doesn't he like rice though?

"How'd you know my favorite food was rice?" He asked with a suspicious look. Sasha rubbed the back of her neck, showing she was nervous. "Well, I caught you looking at prices of rice cookers on your laptop." She answered.

Hange snorted while I chuckled quietly. He then turned to the two of us and gave us a death glare. We quickly stopped, but wanted to laugh still.

"I didn't mean on looking, sir! I was just.." Sasha laid her head low, defeated. "I really don't care. Well, I appreciate it." Levi then moved the rice cooker behind him and opened the next present, which was from Eren.

"Cleaning supplies." Levi said with no emotion. Eren gulped. "Wow, these are expensive. How did a brat like you afford this?" He asked. "That doesn't matter." Eren muttered.

(In chapter 16, I said that Levi was 6'0. I decided to change that and make him 5'6. (Y/N) is 5'3)

The next gift was by far the best. It was Hange's gift. It made Levi completely silent.

It was a stepping stool.

"The other day I saw you struggling to clean a place..and I.." Hange took a moment to breath (aka not laugh), "I..got you a stepping stool." She smiled nervously.

"I also got you some cravats." She added quickly.

"Next. Give me the next gift."

-

Lastly, was (Y/N). Kinda cheesy, but everyone thought it would be best. "Well. I got you two gifts." I gave him two heavy presents.

The first was the roomba. "Oh shit. Nice." He said with some emotion. "Now you can see Eli sit on it like the videos on the internet!" Armin said unexpectedly. We all looked at him and sighed.

The second gift was the tea set with different kinds of tea from all around the world. "I've never tried Pu-erh tea. I heard it was good though. Thank you." He smiled.

He smiled, yay.

"My grandfather always used to drink that tea. It's a tea produced in China. It's really good." Jean told Levi. "There's many more kinds. Ones I've never heard before." Levi muttered.

It was now onto everyone else's presents. It was Christmas after all.

"No way. A little cravat for Eli?! How cute!" I hugged Hange, who got it for me. Levi gave me a ring. Not a engagement ring, but it was quite expensive.

"It's beautiful." I mutter.

After the presents, we decided to play games in the game room. Yes, there was a game room. The game we decided to play was Cards Against Humanity. Hange and Jean recommended to everyone. Most of us didn't know what the game was.

I knew. I knew exactly what it was.

"Just what the hell am I playing right now?" Eren muttered to himself. "Why.." Mikasa rolled her eyes.

The day was going great.

-

We got to the bakery and the woman that worked there immediately recognized me. She got up from the chair and ran to me. She hugged me, "(Y/N)! Did you move or something? I haven't seen you in ages!" She cried out.

"Yeah, I did. This is my friend Mikasa." The two of us turned to Mikasa, who just smiled. It was fake, but it's fine.

"Oh! What do you need?" She asked me. I looked under to see the display of desserts. I pointed to the strawberry shortcake and smiled. "That one." I smiled.

We soon left with the cake after catching up with my old friend. We didn't even notice the mysterious figure going in the bakery.

"Excuse me? Who is that woman?" He asked the worker. "Oh, (Y/N)? Such a nice girl she is." The worker smiled.

-

"I'm back from the bakery! I got you some cake." I placed the slice of vanilla cake in front of Levi. "Thank you, (Y/N)." He grabbed my hand and pulled me to his eye level and kissed me. It was short and sweet.

"No problem. Would you like a refill?" I asked him. I pointed to the now empty cup. "No, I'll get it. You sit down. You just went out." He then got up with the cup and left.

He's so considerate.
