Loved For Once (Levi x Reader)

•Chapter Forty-four•

"Boss bought a really big house. It's like a house a billionaire would buy." I looked at Armin with a surprised expression.

A house? He never talked about a house to me before I left.

"He now lives there. I also live there, Hange too!" He smiled. "I see, so the intelligent and the crazy.." I mutter to myself.

"Do you miss him?"

Armin's question of course caught me of guard. My heart even skipped a beat. I didn't want to answer, but I knew I had to let it out and tell someone. "Yeah." I confess. He then pats me on the back. "You'll be fine. And once you do, you'll live a peaceful life."

A peaceful life. What's like that again?

That was earlier today. I'm currently in a dark room and tied up. Sounds familiar, right? Being tied up and blindfolded. The only difference is that I'm probably not gonna be saved and we'll, I'm not blindfolded. I'm going to die here.

It's my life now.

They finally caught me. I tried to get away, but they caught me. It was like they knew what I was going to do. They were a step ahead of me. And now I'm here.

The door opened, revealing Kenny. 

"I've heard so much about you, (Y/N)." He walked closer to me and sat down in the chair in front of me. "Same." I muttered. He then laughed.

Psychopath.

"I'm surprised you aren't scared. I'm guessing you've been through a lot ever since Levi took you in." Kenny leaned back in his chair and yawned.

"You could say that." I answered. I had no will to fight him. All I could do is wait. Wait until my death. Maybe I could escape, but that will probably backfire real quick.

"So, what do you think is going to happen to you, (Y/N)?" He asked. I'm gonna be brutally killed. "I'm going to be killed, right?" I then question myself. He's not like the others.

"Change of plans. We were originally going to do that, but I thought about it." He told me.

What?

"He hurt you, right?" He asked me. "No! He would never do that!" I defended him. The man who broke my heart. "Mentally." He then said. He hurt me mentally. It's true.

"Yes." I responded.

"Work for me and you live. Go against my rules and you die." He said. Work for him? The man who started this? Yet again, Levi hurt me. He was the only one they really loved me. Except my dad, of course.

"And if I say no?" I ask. He then smiles, "you die a slow and brutal death." He responded. Kenny got up and walked to the door. "Think about it!" He then closed the door.

He then opened the door again, "I forgot to mention that if you take the job, you'll have to kill Levi yourself. Revenge, right?" He then closed the door.

Kill Levi? Kill the leader of the Mafia? What will happen to me after? Can I even do it?

Suddenly, an idea popped in my head. What if I accept the job, go to Levi and warn him. The only problem is that Kenny is probably going to bring a spy to watch me.

I'll kill them.

...

Two hours later, Kenny came back in.

"What shall it be, (Y/N)?" He asked. I'm going to do it. I'm going to save myself and Levi. "Fine. I'll do it." I say. But first, I need to get into character. "That monster needs to die one day." I mutter.

He then laughs and unties the rope that's holding me in the chair. I get up and crack my knuckles.

This idiot.

But I will say, he isn't as bad as I thought. I thought he would be a heartless jerk, but he's surprisingly okay.

"You know, I have to earn your trust before we go to Levi, right?" He says. "Like how?" I ask. He then looks at me. "A year. You have a year to make me trust you. If you don't trust me, then I kill you." He says.

A year. A year before I 'kill' Levi. That's insane!

"Alright.." I mutter.

"(Y/N) (Y/L) goes missing. Last seen was this morning. She has (H/C) hair and (C/E) eyes. She was last seen wearing a doctor's uniform. Her car was in the alleyway."

I turn off the TV and sigh. Everyone is looking for me, and I'm just here chilling.

I feel bad.

"They're looking for ya." I look to my left to see a girl with blond hair. Her looks looked similar to Annie. "My name is Caven. You must be (Y/N)." She introduced herself. I smiled, "nice to meet you." I reply.

I made a friend.

"I'm surprised Kenny let you live." She then sat next to me. "I was quite surprised as well.." I mutter. She then laughed. "No need to be shy, this is your family now." She told me.

Family?

"A family I never had." I muttered to myself. She then patted me on the back. "I read your files. I'm sorry. Like I said, this is your family. A family you grow up to and live life with." She smiled.

The pat on the back reminded me of Armin. When he said I'll have a peaceful life. When he said everything's going to be fine.

I guess he was right. I'm not dead. I'm not hurt. I guess I'm okay.

"She's gone.." Armin muttered. He was crying. "We have no other choice but to move on.." Annie said with her head lowered.

"We can't just assume she's dead!" Sasha shouted. The two of them looked at her hopelessly. It was then when Sasha bursted into tears. "She cant.." she muttered.

Everyone was sad. (Y/N) was someone who changed their lives. Before she came, the Mafia was dull and sad. When she joined, she also brought a good vibe that no one had.

"I wonder was boss is thinking right now.."

Levi was currently trying not to put another hole in the wall. He was also trying not to cry.

He never cried.

"Shit! What the fuck!" He cursed.

No one dared to come near him for awhile. Not even Hange.

"Everyone I love leaves me.." he muttered.
