A Milestone

Lucas POV

We emptied out the center and were taking pictures with family and friends. I took a couple with my brothers and sent them to my mom. She wrote back to me in french how proud she was of me.

This was definitely a milestone for me, none of my siblings besides my sister Loren stayed in school. I was the only one who kept up with it. At times, I sure as hell wanted to quit but today just proved how good I did.

Dre: Seven look fye bruh." he said coming over me. I snapped out of my thoughts and pushed his arm.

Me: that's my dawg girl bruh, come on man." I warned.

Dre: you know me, ion care nun about that, but I ain't gone cross any lines, I'm just telling you cause you my brother."

Me: yea don't say that around him." I said again.

He sucked his teeth and nodded his head in agreement.

Cory: them niggas talking about yo girl bro." he said coming over to me.

Me: who?"

He pointed to Jerome and Craig and some other niggas starring and talking at Cy.

Me: I ain't worried." I shrugged. I said starring at her to.

Vier: nigga what?"

Me: as long as they don't touch her it's cool." I shrugged again. I watched as she smiled and took pictures with her teachers and friends. She drew a lot of attention and I really wasn't worried about it.

Geo: she's the only one taking pictures with the teachers." he said shaking his head. He came over by us and dapped me up hard.

Geo: congrats for real man!" he said pulling me into a hug.

Me: thanks." I laughed.

June: i'm finna leave yo girl." he said, coming over to me. She took some more pictures before coming over to us with Seven, Briana and Rose.

Me: you ready." I said looking down at her. She smiled up at me with her pearly whites and I immediately wanted to kiss on that girl.

Sergio: you look real good sis." he smiled genuinely at her. Her face lit up and I could tell she really loved him saying that.

Cy: so me and the girls was thinking we should throw a party tonight." she smiled.

Santo: No." he shut down.

Cy: Santoo please, come on I already told people." she pouted.

Santo: well that's on you, no one said tell people that."

She made a pouted face at June who rolled his eyes.

June: let her have the party bruh it ain't a big deal."

Santo: nigga." he said throwing his arms up.

Cy: it's gone be cool, I promise no bullshit."

Santo:..no funny business."

I laughed as I watched these niggas crumble for there sister. Kenny punched my arm but I couldn't help but laugh.

Cynthia: thank you!" she said kissing Santo on the cheek. She pulled Seven and Briana with her back into the crowd disappearing.

Santo: come on bro, you gotta stand your ground wit dat girl." he said turning to June.

Me: you usually throw parties, why don't you wanna throw one now?"

Santo: because it's graduation, you know how many people are going to slide by, it's going to be some bullshit." he said.

I laughed a little but I understood what he was saying.
