Chapter 25

We arrive in front of my building.

That's reassuring. I hope Teddy won't discover where I live. Then again, he said it and it's true. Nobody can hide from him. He'll do anything in his power to get what he wants. Especially for the person he's in love with, at that point it's not even love anymore, it's infatuation. I heard there is a Japanese word for that, but I don't remember it. He won't actually do anything to me, will he? Or to my parents? Tyler and Victor? I would be really sad, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Victor opens the door for me.

-Thank you kind sir.

-Always my pleasure, Mademoiselle.

I start to climb the stairs, but I stop in the middle, causing Tyler and Victor to hit my back a little bit.

My mom is standing there.

-Hi June!

-Hi Mom!

She looks at the boys and back to me.

-Are you okay?

-Yes, everything is fine, I went to buy a new cover for my phone and I just ran into my new friends...

-Oh that's nice! You guys must be Tyler and Victor!

Tyler smiles.

-Yes, exactly! I'm Tyler! June talked about us?

-Yes, she did, but not that much.

I smile.

-You, are you okay? What are you doing in the stairs?

-I was reading a book in my bed and I don't know, I just didn't feel good, out of nowhere. It was like a bad feeling in my stomach. So I thought I would go take some fresh air. Do you ever feel like that?

-No, I don't.

-Good for you!

-Yeah, tomorrow and the next days, I won't be there. I'll be with them. Is that okay?

-Of course! You do what you want, you're an adult.

I climb the stairs and I kiss her cheek.

-Thanks Mom! Good night!

-Good night sweetie!

I climb the rest of the stairs, my loft is so high. I open the door for them and I see my mom standing there as they enter.

-Mom?

-Yes?

-You don't go in your apartment?

-I will, make sure to come see me, before you go, tomorrow, okay?

-Of course, see you tomorrow then!

-Bye!

And she goes in her apartment.

I go in mine and close the door.

Moms always end up knowing everything.

I stand there a while.

-June?

-Yes?

-What are you doing?

-Nothing.

-Okay, that's good. Did you want to watch a movie? A Disney one?

-Yes! That would be great! I just have to pack some clothes for tomorrow and I'll be right there.

-Nice! Well, Tyler is going to choose.

Tyler says from the couch:

-Why me?

-Because you make great choices!

-Toy Story 2!

-It's my favorite.

-June? Do you have Pop-Corn?

-Of course! Just go check in the pantry. I have M&Ms too.

I see Tyler smiling as I go in my room.

Victor is following me.

-What are you doing?

-Helping you pack your things.

-Okay...

I get out my small suitcase and open my wardrobe.

Jeans, teeshirts and socks.

-I think you should bring that dress.

I turn around to see Victor holding my navy blue dress.

-I'm sure you look great in it.

-I haven't wore that in months.

-Another reason to bring it.

I take it and place it carefully in the suitcase.

-I'll do everything else in the morning.

-Come here.

-What is it?

I turn around and he takes me in his arms. He kisses the top of my head.

-I'm okay.

-You better be. I swear, if he...

-It's alright.

He kisses my forehead, my cheeks and my nose.

-Wait! It tickles!

He presses his forehead on mine and smiles.

-Come on, Love Birds! We don't have all night!

And Tyler turns up the volume.

Victor kisses my lips.

-Coming!

I take his hand and we go in the living room.

-Are you jealous, Tyler?

-No, I can be cheesy, if I want to.

I end up falling asleep half way through the movie.

At the end, Tyler tries to wake me up, but he just ends up carrying me to my bed. He drops me off gently and Victor lays down beside me. I put my arms around him and lay my head on his chest. Tyler wraps his arms around my waist and I hold his hand close to my heart.
