I wake up and the sun is hitting my face.

-I should have pulled the curtains.

Tyler starts to let his fingers wander on the upper part of my spine. Sending shivers again.

-We wouldn't be able to see your face and I think it's time to get up. It's already 10 AM.

-How long have you been awake?

-45 minutes...

-And you didn't want to wake me up?

-You looked so peaceful...

Victor smirks at him.

-Okay, creep...

-I didn't mean it like that.

-I know you didn't, now come on, we have a two hour drive to do and she needs to pack a few things, more. My car charged all night long, so it should be alright.

We get up and I make the bed. They go downstairs to put some new clothes on. I pack a few things more. Hygiene essentials, shoes, some cute underwear... What? I love cute underwear, it's not for a particular occasion, I wear them whenever I want to. It's not like they are going to see it, are they?

I have everything. I just need to go see my mom.

I put my coat on and I lock the door. I stop in front of my parents door. I knock and my mom answers.

-Hi! You said, you wanted me to come see you, before I go...

-Hi! Is there something you need to tell me?

-No, not that I can think of...

-Are they treating you right?

-Yes, they are, don't worry, I'm having a lot of fun with them. They make me smile a lot and...

I put a lock of hair behind my ear.

-And I think they are having fun with me too.

-You seem happy, so that's all that matters. Have a good trip and be safe! I love you.

-Love you too, Mom! See you in a couple days!

She kisses my forehead and I kiss hers. I go down the stairs and they are waiting for me. Tyler is already searching a song on his phone.

-Hey, do you want the passenger seat or the backseat? Because, I don't mind...

-The backseat, because I don't want anyone to see me, react to my music.

He lifts his left eyebrow.

-What? I can have strong reactions.

Victor takes my suitcase and puts it in the trunk.

-Ready to go?

-Yes!

Victor gets behind the wheel and he drives out of the underground parking. I look at my mom's window and she stands there with her coffee. I wave my hand at her. She does the same.

I hope she isn't worrying about me. Yesterday, she felt something when I was out. That's strange.

I wonder if it's connected, probably not.

I look out the window and look at the landscape. My headphones are playing Wasteland from Against the Current.

"I don't wanna wake up in your wasteland"

That's relevant.

The road goes by really fast. The wind blows in the trees, most of them lost their leaves. Snow slowly makes its way through the air.
