I sigh and squint my eyes as I lift a hand to block the sun's blinding light. I scan the area before me, the explosion from tha exodus ship having charred the ground black; nothing left but a few bodies burned to the bone and ship parts. Examining one of the skeletons has me wondering if any of these are in fact Abby. If she was on the ship, I hope that, for Clarke's sake, her death was quick. It's been about a day and a half since the crash and she's still a bit shaken up, and I don't blame her one bit. Her mother could very well have been on this ship but we have no clue.
"Stay sharp," Bellamy calls out to everyone in the surrounding area. "Grounder retaliation for what happened on the bridge is coming, just a matter of when."
"You blame them?" Finn sneers, sending Bellamy a spiteful look.
"No, I blame you," Bellamy snaps and sends Finn and equally spiteful look back.
Finn stops in his tracks, fists clenching at his sides as he practically shouts, "Maybe if you didn't bring guns--"
"If we didn't bring guns, we all would've been killed," I interrupt, growing tired of their antics. This is honestly getting on my nerves and I, among many others, would like to listen to something else for a change. "Just give it a rest, you two."
"Why they're coming doesn't matter anymore." Bellamy doesn't look at Finn this time, mostly at me because I'd been the one to speak. Out of the corner of my eye, Finn rolls his eyes and let's out a huff as he turns on his heel and walks away. "It's our job to be ready when they do. We're on our own now."
Maybe if Finn had told the rest of us about his stupid meeting with the grounders, none of that stuff on the bridge would have happened. And because it was just he and Clarke, they were outnumbered. And though Jasper claims to have seen grounders in the trees, I didn't see anything. How true his statement had been is open for debate, but I don't think anyone doubts there we're grounders; it makes sense for them to have scouts in the trees just in case something went wrong. The sound of Raven shouting at Clarke in the distance catches my attention. As I look up, I see the dark-haired girl flagging her down, stopping from doing whatever it is she's doing. Finn, Bellamy, and I follow the girl and crowd around Clarke as she stands from her crouched position.
"Rocket fuel?" Clarke asks curiously.
"Hydrazine. Highly unstable in its non-solid form. If this stuff meets fire, we're all pink mist." Raven selects a small stone from the ground and dips it in the pinkish-purple fuel before standing up and shouting. "Fire in the hole!"
I watch with curious eyes as Raven throws the fuel-soaked rock into a fire, causing it to explode. Smirking slightly, I let out an amused huff and mutter, "Awesome."
"We need to clear the area," the girl shouts to Bellamy who gives her an understanding nod.
"Okay, then." He turns to everyone else and motions with his hands for them to get movig. "We move in formation, no straggling, weapons hot. We got to get back before dark."

"Where is he?" Bellamy sneers as he storms to the drop ship, shoulders tense. The instant we arrived back at camp, someone had run up to us and informed us of a situation that occured while we we're gone; apparently, Murphy showed up just outside of camp and a few of the campers dragged him into the drop shop and waited for us to get back. My strides are long and quick in order to catch up with Bellamy, to see if he's really back. My journey is cut short, however, when Bellamy comes to a halt in front of me, forcing me to swerve around him to avoid running straight into his back. My eyes narrow in his direction, but before I can scold him for stopping so abruptly, my eyes land on a figure curled up in the far corner of the drop ship.
