I breathed heavily as I tried pulling the pole out of my body, but it was no use. I should probably stop anyway because I could damage myself more.

"Help," I shouted weakly. "Somebody, please help me."

I stopped shouting when I heard gunshots, flinching. One landed near my head, causing me to jump. Someone crouched beside the debris next to me; it was Abby.

"Abby?" I said. The woman spun around, looking at me. A look of horror covered her face as she crawled to me.

"Oh my God. Aiden," she whispered. "W-what are you doing here? I thought you were back at camp."

"I came with Clarke to warn everyone," I explained weakly. "Lexa and Clarke ran but I wanted to warn everyone so I stayed behind, but I was too late."

Abby was shaking as she put her hands on the pole, groaning as he tried to lift it. She stopped when I cried out. She pulled her hands away. My eyes began watering at the thought of dying.

Abby looked at me. "I'm going to get you out of here, Aiden. I promise."

I only nodded. Everyone was quiet when suddenly, the sound of a man crying help could be heard under all the debris near where I was stuck. Abby pushed aside a few small rocks, shining her flashlight down the hole. "Someone's alive down there," she shouted.

She looked at me hesitantly. I nodded, telling to go.

A bullet flew past Abby and she fell back. "I gotta get down there."

Lincoln grabbed Indra, who was injured and ran, carrying her. Octavia followed close behind. Their distraction allowed Abby to slip into a hole.

"Please hurry Abby," I mumbled as she disappeared.

I could feel myself becoming weaker as I lost more blood. It wasn't quick, but if I stayed here much longer, I could bleed out.

"Aiden?" I heard Octavia asked. I looked to my right to see the girl crouched running toward me. "Oh, my God."

I winced, contouring my face as the pain continued. The pole technically didn't go through my stomach, it was more in my side near my hips, but I still couldn't move. I looked at the girl, laughing lightly. "I'm glad you're okay. Bellamy would have my head if you got hurt."

She shook your head. "You shouldn't be joking during a time like this, Aiden."

"It's kinda the only thing keeping my mind off the excruciating pain right now," I said truthfully. I covered my mouth with my hand as I coughed, blood coming out of my mouth. I looked at my hand, my heart dropping slightly. "That's a bad sign."

"We need to get that thing out of you now," Octavia said. She went to pull the pole out, but I grabbed her wrist, stopping her. She looked at me. "Aiden, you're dying."

I shook my head. "If you pull it out, I could bleed out. I'm no expert, but I think the pole might be the only thing keeping me alive, so I think we should leave it in until we get the supplies we need.

The girl hesitated before nodding slowly.

I've been stuck here for at least a few hours, growing weaker by the minute. The sniper is still shooting at us. Octavia went back to the other grounders, trying to find a way to get the survivors under the debris. I coughed again; more blood. I clenched my jaw, letting my head fall to the ground. I closed my eyes, breathing heavily. I heard a horn blow, which meant Lincoln had taken out the sniper. I overheard him and Octavia talking about it. A few minutes later, another horn blew and I heard more voices than before.

"Aiden," I heard Jackson say. My eyes opened to see the man crouched beside me.

I smiled weakly. "Never thought I'd be so happy to see your face," I joked.

I just shook his head with a smile. Sinclair, the head of engineering, knelt beside him.

"Can you get it out?" He asked Jackson.

Jackson looked at me. "Can you move your toes?" I wiggled my toes and nodded. "Good. That's very good. With the placing of the pole, I don't think there will be any internal damage, but I can't know for sure until I pull it out; you definitely bleed. Sinclair, tie a rope or something just above the wound. Tight."

Sinclair nodded, grabbing a rope from the bag to his left. He tied it around my waist, tightly. "What next?"

Jackson looked at Sinclair. "I'm going to need you to help me take the pole out."

I bit my lip as Sinclair put his hands on the pole.

"Sorry, Aiden, but this is gonna hurt like hell," Jackson said as he put his hands on the pole.

I shook my head, bracing myself. "Just get it over with."

Jackson nodded before he and Sinclair pulled at the pole upwards. I let out a scream; the pain was almost unbearable. After what seemed like hours, which was only about a minute, Jackson has successfully taken the pole out. My vision blurred before my head fell to the side and I lost consciousness.

I'm so sorry this chapter is so short. I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless. Aiden probably would've died there if it wasn't for Jackson showing up. Thank the gods for him. I also decided to update for the third time today cuz I finished this chapter sooner than I had expected. But after this, I won't be updating till tomorrow at the normal time; 5. And can I just say something... There are only three more chapters left in An Angel In Disguise you guys! Three! That's crazy. The character development of Aiden is amazing. She's so strong in independent and I actually love her. I low-key wish she was an actual character in the show. She's such a badass.

Anywho, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you in the next one.

Buh-bye.
