I made my way into engineering to see if Bellamy has made contact again. As I turned the corner, Wick and Raven were packing. I furrowed my eyebrows as I stopped just inside the room. "You guys are leaving?"
The pair shot up, looking at me.
"Aiden," Raven said. "I didn't see you there."
"You're leaving for Mount Weather, aren't you?" I asked. I took a deep breath but immediately regretted it, inhaling sharply. "I'm coming with you."
I turned on my heel to walk out of the room, but Raven grabbed my arm, stopping me. I looked at her as she spoke. "Aiden, you can't. You were impaled less than a day ago and you can barely breathe, let alone walk."
I narrowed my eyes as I shook my head. The girl released me from her grip. "Raven, those are my friends too. I cant just...sit around knowing I can do something. I hate feeling helpless."
Raven pursed your lips. "You can help by not ripping your stitches and living long enough to greet our friends when we get them out of Mount Weather. Can you do that?"
I bit my lip. I reluctantly nodded in response. Raven sling her bag over her shoulder, looking back at Wick who had finished getting ready. I pulled the brown-haired girl into a hug. "Try not to die."
She chuckled, hugging me back. "You too."
When we pulled away I looked at Wick. "You too."
He shrugged. "I'll do my best."
I watched as the pair walked out of the room. I licked my lips before walking out of the room. I headed for medical. Abby ways me to check in every couple hours for progress. I walked into medical to see Abby treating one of the wounded from Tondc. She turned when she heard the door open, looking at me.
"Have a seat on the bed," the woman instructed. I did as I was told, groaning slightly. Abby did her check-up before lifting my shirt to examine my wound. "Stitches are still intact."
I didn't say anything as she let go of my shirt before stepping away, writing something in her notes. After a few seconds, Abby turned to me. "You're all set. Come back at sundown for another check-up."
I only nodded, stepping onto the floor with a groan. My hand instinctively went to my side, holding myself as I walked out of medical.

I finished packing a bag. I plan to go to Mount Weather to help get my friends. In order to do that, I'm gonna have to sneak out somehow. I slung my bag over my shoulder and turned to walk out of my room, but stopped. I jumped slightly when I saw Abby standing in the doorway with her arms crossed over her chest.
"Raven told me to keep an eye on you."
I sighed, frustrated. "Come on, Abby. I'm fine. There's nothing to worry about."
Abby's arms fell to her sides as she spoke. "Oh, you're fine? Why don't you take a deep breath for me." I pursed my lips and Abby nodded. "That's what I thought. Aiden, you can barely walk. You're not going to make it to Mount Weather without hurting yourself."
I let my bag slide off my shoulder onto the floor, throwing my hands in the air in annoyance. "So what am I supposed to do? Sit and wait?"
The woman in front of me nodded. "Yes. Clarke is handling it. Everyone understands why you can't be there. I understand you want to help your friends, I do, okay? But you reopening your wound and dying on your way to Mount Weather isn't going to help any."
I just stared at the woman. Biting my lip, I only nodded in response. Abby didn't say anything else as she turned and walked away. I breathed slowly as I roughly grabbed my bag, taking everything out and putting it back. I took my hatchet off my belt, looking at it in my hand. I clenched my jaw as I angrily spun around, throwing it as hard as I could at the wall behind me. An indent was left behind as I fell to the ground, holding my side, pain coursing through my body from the sudden movement. I stood up slowly, going to my bed and laying down in it.

AH! I'm so sorry this chapter is so short you guys. I had to come up with literally the whole chapter and I couldn't think of anything. It's more of a filler chapter because the next one is the last one! We've almost reached the end, guys! I'm so excited to continue Aiden's journey on the ground. One last thing. Chapter 30 will be posted at five tonight. I just thought I should finish the book on the regular update time.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it. I'll see you in the next one.
Buh-bye.
