CHAPTER 9: VIOLENT HALLUCINATIONS
__________✧・゚: *✧・゚:*__________
A few days pass, the storm is finally over and my ankle is almost healed completely. Clarke has been keeping me on bed rest this last week since I sprained my ankle and to be quite frank, I'm restless. There's not much to do when your sister won't let you out of her sight, or the drop ship for that matter. We still haven't had any action since Finn's attack, and I hope we don't have anymore. Though, I highly doubt we won't. The grounders seem relentless when it comes to wiping us out so I doubt we'll be able to let our guard down for long.
Leaning over, I wrap my aching hands around the rough bark of a log and help carry it to the others working on the wall. In the time that's passes, Raven finally managed to get the radio working again, and she even set up a camera so kids can see and talk to their parents on the Ark. Some of the campers were instructed to set up a tent around it to shield it from Earth's unforgiving weather.
"Aiden." At the sound of my name, I stop what I'm doing and look around for the culprit. Clarke is making her way toward me with a stern expression. "Jaha wants to talk to you."
Feeling my chest tighten with anger already, I don't dare speak a word, only nodding in her direction. Wiping my hands on my pants, I turn on my heel and make my way to the tent. Once inside, it suddenly feels claustrophobic but I shove the feeling away as I sit in the chair and put the headset on. Swallowing hard, I attempt to maintain my composure when my eyes meet Jaha's on the screen, the man that ruined my life nice whole years ago.
"Aiden Griffin," he greets in an all-too-friendly tone, one that makes my jaw tighten. "Nice to see you're faring well."
"You too," I hiss, the displeasure clear in my voice, "after what Bellamy did to you."
Jaha closes his eyes and he almost looks amused by my comment. I barely manage to make out the ghost of a smile on his lips. "You definitely have your father's personality."
"What do you want, Jaha? You're not one to chit-chat, so what is it?"
I watch closely as the dark-skinned man folds his hands and leans forward against the table. "Your mother wants to speak with you."
I gave him a look of disbelief and almost laugh out loud. The man seems surprised by my reaction. "You're kidding? What makes you think I want anything to do with her?
"Aiden..."
"She made my life a living hell... Both of you did. Next time you see her, tell her I said she can go to hell."
Without so much as another glance, I rip the headset off my head and small it on to the table before storming out of the tent.

"Hey," Clarke greets with a smile. I return the gesture before gulping down a cup of water. The girl clears her throat, making me slowly turn to her, a brow quirked. "So, the Ark found some old records that show a supply depot not to far from here."
I put my cup down and turn to her. "You want me to come with you, don't you?"
She nods. "You in?"
"Who all's going?" I ask curiously, tilting my head to the side.
"Just you, Bellamy, and myself. And if I'm being honest, I don't really want to be stuck with him by myself."
I snort at her comment, making the corner of her lips tug into a weak smile. I mean, I guess it won't hurt to get out of camp for a little while, spend some quality time with my sister and... Bellamy. Shrugging, I finally answer. "Sure. Why not."
